Service was good, but watch out for the sugar. It’s in everything from the salsa to the queso. Chicken tamales tasted like flour paste without any chicken. The chicken tortilla soup was the best part of the meal. Stick to items with fresh ingredients like beef tacos.

What has happened to this place!!! I realize it’s Cinco de Mayo, but there’s no excuse for being seated at a dirty table! It took at least 10 min for someone to greet us at our table and an additional 10 for chips/salsa and drinks. Service was so awful even my husband(who has never waited tables) said there is an obvious management problem. It’s just«trashy» and the type of customers here now is nothing shy of a «people of Walmart» episode.

I’m not sure why this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It’s hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! I drive all the way from Mansfield just to eat here and have yet to grow tired of it! Their fajita plates are amazing! There’s garlic butter that comes with it that just gives it the extra yumminess! It’s the only thing I order every time I come. Try to catch them during their happy hour for their specials on beer, margaritas, and appetizers! I always get the mixed margaritas! Oh, and don’t forget to order the queso! It’s seriously the best! I order a bowl every time I come! There’s also complimentary sopaipillas and ice cream. I’m not a fan of them though.

This is hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. I prefer this over Chuys and Uncle Julios. I love this place, but they seriously need to change the host staff. They never have a smile on their face. I’ve had one experience with one bad waiter, but that still won’t change how I feel about this place. The food is excellent here. I’ve had their nachos, chimichangas, and fajitas. A large Margarita was very inexpensive. The one thing I love about this place is that they give you free tortillas, sopapillas, and ice cream! You must try their butter on a tortilla. If I could, I could sit there and eat that all day. It’s just that good! This place is well decorated. There is a lot of booths and tables. The bar is huge. I love this place so much. Speaking of this makes me want to go there again this weekend. As far as the price, it’s not expensive at all. Who doesn’t go to On The Border? You can compare the price with On The Border, it’s just slightly more for fajitas.

The food is absolutely WONDERFUL! I’m very pleased with this food, but the service is just okay. We waited for over 5 minutes for someone to even assist us when we first walked in, and they weren’t even busy. Then, I asked for a water, and specifically said«can i please have a lemon with it also? i really like my water with lemon.» and then the waitress brings my water, without a lemon. I would give this restaurant a solid 5 stars if only the service were a little better.

The food is always good. The service was lacking. Took a long time for our waiter to appear. His appearance was super dirty and unappetizing.

Read this more as 2.5 stars. I used to go to Posados all the time. My friends and I even had dinner there after one of our homecoming dances. The prices have gone up since then, but that’s to be expected given how long ago that was. I enjoyed it because as a broke high school student it was all about getting the most for my dollar. The food itself is not the best, but not the worst I’ve had either. It’s a lot saltier than I remember though. I think I drank a gallon of water once we got back home afterwards. The chips are good, but the salsa is bland in my opinion. Our server was very personable though and had our food out extremely quick. To be fair however, they weren’t busy at all for being primetime(7:30pm) on a weeknight. I ordered my usual enchilada combo that comes with any two enchiladas along with the sauces of your choice, rice, and either beans or soup. I got a chicken with sour cream sauce, a cheese with queso, rice, and cup of tortilla soup. The soup had a nice amount of melted cheese on top and the enchiladas were warm, but everything seemed one note and lacking in flavor. I selected 3 stars because my absolute favorite part of coming here is getting free sopapillas at the end of the meal. I like to drizzle mine with honey because theirs are on the dry side. They also have free soft serve cones for the kiddos located up front near the host stand. I admit that when I want Mexican this is not the first chain that comes to mind, but it’s close to home and every now and again is okay for a quick meal.

The food was so greasy! When I left there I thought I was going to die if you come to this establishment you are probably overweight and need to go to WHOLEFOODS10 minuets away from there get yourself a nice salad and the vegan taquitos in the frozen section

Should have gone to Chuys. This was the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The hostess stand had no idea of what was going on and there were only a few people ahead of us in line. The margaritas are pure sugar(shit) and the server was nice but obviously knew NOTHING about the menu. All of those things can be put aside because the food is what matters… but the food was horrible. The queso was pretty much velveeta and dog food. The entrees were disgusting. Out of all FOUR of us NOONE liked their food. You’d be better off eating at Taco Casa… seriously you would. I seriously want to throw up my food because it was so disgusting.

I am typically not a fan of the big chain Mexican restaurants. I am even tougher on the Mexican fast food chains. I am not Hispanic nor am I any expert on the various the cultures. For me personally there there is nothing like sitting down in a local neighborhood mexican restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. You find all the locals from the neighborhood and those who still attend the local catholic church they attended when they were kids. The local business leaders, business owners and other community leaders. The Posados Café is a unique mix of all the old home style mom and pops yet its still one of the mega Mexican restaurants that I typically try and avoid. Located in Bedford just off Hwy 121 … It has a mix of your typical standards that you will find on the menu of any mega chains. It also has a variety of dishes that you normally only find at your mom and pop restaurants. I also like the fact that they have a variety of beans to choose from instead of the typical refried beans. I was very impressed with both the size of the appetizer and the ingredients used for the«premade«guacamole. They used ripe Roma tomatoes, cilantro and jalapeños. Many of the dine in and seated restaurants will limit or omit the more costly produce. The top shelf or the table side are usually larger in size and more expensive. That was NOT the case this evening. The portion was very generous and dgenerously priced as well. Another one of the items on the menu for dessert is the Mexican dessert called sopha. Made hot and fresh while you wait. The staff was very professional and quick to both great, seat, and review my order. The salsa was very good, a bit spicy for my taste but my dinner guest found it to be a little mild for his taste. Another perk is using the coupons that go out to the citizens of HEB on Wednesday. This week offered a buy 1 get 1 free enchilada entrée or a discount on the fajita entrée for 2. Offers a full service bar with a great bartender. Not sure what the early crowd is like so I can’t really rate the bar. I will give the restaurant as a solid 4 stars. Like I said, to get a 4 star rating for a Mexican restaurant chain is a high mark. Posados Café is one of the best«chain» restaurants for dinning indoors and feel free to look at my reviews to find my favorite Mexican fast food restaurants.

Just not a fan and think there are better Mexican food choices in the area. The chips were basically in mini pieces, maybe we got the bottom of the bucket, but not much room on the chips to dip into the salsa. We split the enchilada and tamale plate, about halfway through both my wife and I said«This just doesnt taste good» In our opinion the food is bland and a bit over priced.

Always interesting – fajitas are hard to beat, especially on Wednesday nights, and I love the soft-serve ice cream!!!

Visiting the area from So Cal. Walked in without a reservation with a party of 17. We were seated within 5 minutes and had the absolute best service. Two waiters were helping us we constantly had drinks, chips, salsa and tortillas. Food was great and the free sweets at the end was great!

Excellent food and outstanding service. I will be back here again. Best fajitas-beef and chicken. The fajita butter is amazing. This place is great — ignore the negative comments. And if something is wrong with food; they will replace. I asked. Told waiter of negative comments. I see nothing wrong with this wonderful place with exception I have never been till now!

Good food and good service. Today was one of many trips here and it was good like always. Nachos were plentiful and tasty. Quesadillas were also very good.

I think that posadas used to be good, but I was disappointed. Place was not busy at lunch. We were sat In a booths. The table was sticky and dirty. It was first thing at lunch, so the table wasn’t wiped down from night before. I ordered quail fajitas — sounded intriguing but it was a split bird on a fajita grill. Flavor was good but very very hard to eat. Rice was overcooked — I believe give the texture it was from the previous night — but who knows. I don’t believe I can recommend it. Nor will I return.

Patty was the server, she was old and slow, not personable at all. It took forever to get the drinks, even longer to get a refill. The chicken fajita s were ok, nothing to ride home about by any means. The best part out of the whole meal was the FREE sopapillas, and even those weren’t huge :( The only reason I came in here was because I had a coupon, now I know why they we’re running coupon s, to bring in people. On a Saturday during lunch they weren’t busy. Never a good sign. I won’t be back, this time for good.

This place was WAY more delicious than I thought it would be. Great atmosphere too! We had excellent service and always had a refill of our drinks and chips. I only give it a 4 star because I don’t think it’s 5 star quality even though I enjoyed it. The lime rice wasn’t very good Free ice cream! Overall I recommend this if you’re looking for good Mexican food(it’s more of a weekday place not a weekend night or fancy date)
