I had a friend who was working that was apart of the LBGTQA community and was fired for his sexual orientation. Dont support a bussiness with poor politics.

I would give them zero if I could. We walked in and were sat immediately. Our server came over and asked for our drink order, but brought us the wrong drinks. It’s also very hot in here, please management, buy I fan or turn the air down. Waitress stated she’s worked here for a year, but today is the first day she was waitressing and she didn’t know anything about the menu and had to keep leaving to ask questions. She couldn’t answer any of our questions– like what’s the difference between American and French fries? Turns out they are just home-style– but we didn’t find that out until the food came out with the wrong ones. Food comes out, and my eggs are not cooked correctly. I like my scrambled eggs very well done so I asked that they be browned. I sent them back after we had to scream to get a server over to our table– as I had already eaten the majority of my food. They came out again, still not well done, so I sent them back and asked that they be «browned». This time, a lady who I assume was manager/owner came back with the same plate and proceeded to argue with me that they were indeed well done and that the cheese made them look undercooked. I told her I have never had a problem anywhere else asking for them this way, and I always get them with cheese because it is possible to brown them with it. At this point I gave up– she clearly wanted to stand over our table and argue instead of simply asking how exactly I like them. We never got refills on our drinks. Also my uncle had to have one of the servers«break into» the bathroom with a butter knife because the door wouldn’t open. We were never checked on unless we stood up to yell for someone– they just do not care. This was a very bizarre experience.

First time trying this place. Hubs and I went because our usual place was to busy and we were on a time table. We were seated right away, offered a table or booth. The server responded quickly and we got our drink orders back quickly. This place was not very busy, but steady. Appeared clean, restrooms were clean. They have the flavor coffee creamer, which always makes me happy! The menu seemed to have a good selection for breakfast, there were variations of the traditional southern breakfast, such as Egg Benedict done different ways and French toast options, plus all the classics too. I had the Irish Benedict — with tomato and corn beef hash. Hubs had a Omelete. Food was good, order came out correct. The hash towns were chewy, I passed on mine. This place doesn’t stand out in any particular way, I don’t know if we will ever return unless our regular place too busy again.

I need half a star here. 3 ½ Stars. Quaint little neighborhood spot. We stopped in for breakfast this morning. It was quiet, which was nice for a change. The crammed packed chain places are always so loud and we wanted to visit with our out of town guest. I had an egg over medium, Canadian bacon, rye toast and hash browns. It hit the spot. My 13 yr old(growing) nephew had 2 eggs, chicken Apple sausage and 2 pancakes, he gave it a thumbs up. My Mom had 2 eggs, bacon and fruit, she said it was good as well. No complaints. Friendly service, very fairly priced breakfast. I’ll go back. Check it out. Chow!

All around good breakfast place. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a nice local spot. The wait staff is friendly. I docked a star for dirty silverware… yuck.

Wow first timers at Mid Cities Café, we had a groupon, the lunch menu was small but I saw what I wanted and my husband had the daily special Chicken Fried Chicken, omgood, it was the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere, I got CFS and it too was melt in your mouth great, the gravy… Perfect, cool, crisp salad and veggies very tasty, but I’m confused at what I was charged for, we had a special at 5.99, another reg price 8.95, plus 2 specials to go and 2 teas, I thought the specials to go would be the special price @ 5.99, well to my surprise the bill was $ 40.24, minus the 20.00 groupon we paid 20.42, did not think about until we left, too late to call today but I do want to clear that up, we are definitely going back, great food, good service, clean and comfortable

I was excited to discover a small café after Verna’s closed. Under the original ownership the breakfast was fantastic. Then the café sold. We gave it 3 different tries and finally gave up. I don’t expect gourmet food. However, I expect a café that specializes in breakfast to have decent eggs. The eggs are awful. It’s very clear they are cooked at the start of the morning and put under a heat lamp. On more than one occasion our food was cold, dry, and falling a part. I would say the only positive is the service. Every waitress we have had has been very courteous and on top of her job. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back.

Used to like this place, today was disappointed. My sausage and cheese omelette decreased in size and the corn beef hash browns was bad. Either they got a new chef or things are getting smaller. It is Easter day, should have your best game today, our server was helpful. My brother was disappointed. He said, we should have went to Whataburger.

Breakfast was good. I’ve seen mixed reviews on here so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. My family of four all enjoyed it. I thought the cubed potatoes were particularly good. We got mostly basic stuff-eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, biscuits with gravy. Service was good, too. Our drinks had plenty of refills.

I don’t have much to say here. It was a good breakfast but it wasn’t great. There were four of us. Of the four, one thought it was a 4 star, everyone else was 2 or 3. I thought it was OK. There was nothing special about the meal. However, the prices were good, the service was OK, and there was enough food for everyone. The one thing I did not like was the pancakes were lacking much flavor. They were cooked well, but needed something.

Very good, even with the long wait typical anywhere around here on a Sunday morning. The wait staff was very pleasant and Theresa an excellent waitress with great attitude, even when clearly swamped. Food was yummy, a notch above the usual family style breakfast. Good selection on the menu. Nothing fancy here, but it’s a nice, clean place with terrific food, friendly staff, and fair prices. We’ll be returning.

First time here and right after ordering they tell us its going to be 40 min before we get our food due to them being«busy» ! No they were not busy! No line at the door! I have been to places where the lines are out the door and you still get good service. After waiting for 30 min our waitress never came to check up on refill on drinks! Ive witnessed 3 tables now(4 including ours) who keep asking where their food is! Ridiculous !

This is my second time coming here. Their breakfast is amazing!!! Best pancakes I’ve had in a long time. My plate was only 5.95!!! You can’t beat that!!! The staff is super friendly and very fast service! I love this place! I haven’t tried lunch because their breakfast is so good.

Nothing too special about this place. I wanted to give it a try this morning even though my friend had warned me it was mediocre. And indeed it was. I ordered the French combo(French toast, 2 eggs, and choice of 3 bacon or sausage links), I went with the sausage links. The eggs were probably the best thing on the plate, which isn’t saying much because I can easily make better eggs at home. The sausage links were WAY salty, and the French toast(which I was most excited for) was a sore disappointment. They should’ve used a thicker bread. By using just regular bread, it shrank down when cooking and thus made it tough in some areas to eat. The syrup was also off, wasn’t sweet and had a weird aftertaste. If I was just rating this place on food alone, it is definitely a 1. However, the service was great! They instantly greeted me when I came in, and had a smile on their face throughout the whole time I was there. Besides the food, they made it a positive experience for me. Will I come back? Probably not. For the amount of money you would spend here, you can get better quality food at a Cracker Barrel or even iHop.

Love this little place! Awesome service, AMAZING pancakes, and the prices are cheap! :) They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close daily at 3pm. Their menu has a great selection of breakfast items and not as many lunch items. The place is clean and the food comes out quick. My only disappointment has been with the hash browns — not much flavor and pretty oily. Other than that though, I will stop in here when I need a good meal quickly and don’t want to run through a drive-thru. I definitely recommend it.

Upon arrival, the place was full. Had to wait a few mins for a clean table. No problem. Then waited 5 mins or so for a sever to take my order. I ordered Apple Juice, Coffee and Water with Lemon. I also place my food order at the same time. It appeared to me that I was bothering her by being there. A short time later my coffee and Apple Juice arrived. I guess there is a shortage of water with lemon because that never came until I had to asked for it when my food was delivered. My coffee was refilled by the Hostess and not the server, kinda strange but it was refilled. After waiting 15 or more mins the food arrived. chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gray, grits and English muffin. The food was… Just Ok. Nothing to brag about. Not bad, not great, just average. In this market Average will never make it. In my opinion, if you are in the area go to Dixie House as their food is much better or Old West as there service is better.

Great café hidden in a shopping center. You would never know this little gem existed without word of mouth. Very clean, polite staff, quaint atmosphere. Food was freshly prepared. I ordered the patty melt with fries. Their breakfast items look delicious as well. A great little place that appears to be family owned.
