Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

Love the chicken Caesar pasta salad, portion is huge and the dressing is delicious, my daughter ordered mac & cheese, which is also delicious. All the appetizers are also really good.

I love this place. Definitely get your money’s worth. Margaritas keep me coming back! The baked potato soup is the only thing I want on a cold day. The chicken pecan salad with honey lime dressing is sublime. Kids menu has a good variety, and the coloring is fun for kids to do while you wait (not long) for your food. Drinks are always happy-​hour prices! Burgers are great, the broccoli cheese rice casserole is great. Ribs are awesome! Butter croissants are amazing.
Every experience is great!

This place was really great. There were a ton of tasty drink selections that came in huge glasses and were not expensive at all. The food was wonderful as well. The service was really good even on a busy Friday night. The only thing I would ask is that they had more chicken dishes but I understand this is a chain and is not the fault of this particular location.
I wish I lived closer to that area of Fort Worth because I would be back more often!

Horrible receptionist and wait. had a party of 7 a child and handicap person there were tables open. when i said hey you can push the tables together we will make it work receptionist looked at me and said we cant do that even though we were the only ones waiting. The Manager a big guy just walked around like a prison guard never greeted customers never asked how this party of people were doing no thanks. We ordered chips and salsa for 7 and we ran through the chips asked for more and the food came out before the chip refill. Drinks refilled after an hour. food came in at different times. They never came to remove empty plates and cup. This is the worst service ever at a cheddars. Rude receptionist staff all of the m there was 3 that day.

When my Mom said she wanted to eat at Cheddar’s for her birthday dinner I think my eyes almost popped out and my Dad said «don’t you want to eat somewhere nice?». Well we were all happy with her choice.
My Mom joked that since the healthy choice salad she wanted (Hawaiian Chicken) was no longer on the menu she wanted the «unhealthy» chicken fried steak. She cleaned her plate.
My Citrus Miso glazed Salmon was so delicious and moist as apposed to the dry over twice as expensive salmon at Pappadeaux across the street. The broccoli cheese casserole was heavy on rice and probably processed cheese but tasted great mixed with the steamed broccoli my dish came with. I also ordered a side of black beans and they were tasty enough to bring home as leftovers.
Both sister’s dishes looked yummy. HUGE Asian salad and chicken topped with shrimp and mango salsa. Plates were cleaned with good reviews.
Five kids eight and under and all ate their burgers or chicken nuggets.
And the main reason my Mom wanted to eat here… The huge skillet chocolate chip cookie topped with 2 scoops ice cream and whipped cream and a cherry. Three were licked clean! Tip as my Mom knew was to order with meal then have them start it 10 – 15 minutes before ready for dessert as it takes at least 10 minutes to bake.

2 of our group only got part of our meal. The waitress kept coming out saying the rest would be ready soon. We never got it. Manager came out, did not offer a discount, just a free desert, which we finally asked for it to go since it was such a long time coming as well.

To sum up my experience here would be just DELICIOUS! Every single thing we ordered was on point!
Loved the spinach dip, so tasty and the chips were homemade and hot.
I for the half rack of ribs and grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Honestly it was all amazing, ribs were fall off the bone, bbq sauce was good, coleslaw was perfect and not swimming in dressing, mashed potatoes were really good and with «country gravy» which I’m not used to, but very good. The grilled shrimp was awesome, had a kind of crispy-​glaze on it, YUMMM!
Fiancé got the half rack with steak and baked potato and corn, he loved it! Overall, great place and very reasonably priced!

Love this place. Great comfort food. Love the Monte Cristo sandwich. Drinks are very afordable ALL THE TIME!!! Fast and friendly service.

Well — they just brought my meal and plate was dirty — gross.
I asked the waitress to redo it — that is pls make a new one on a clean plate.
The meal came back out — plate was different but still not super clean, and judging by the temp, they moved the food over.
I sent it back and the chef came out, was kind of grumpy and didn’t see to care much.
The waiter came out and apologized and confirmed they did not make another meal.
I understand mistakes happen, but, when you try to cover it up — well.
Personally I hope the city health inspector reads this and checks out the place.

Preface: Jonah was awesome. We love Cheddar’s (one of us dining tonight worked at Cheddar’s for 3 years!) and usually go to have a relaxing, stress-​free dining experience.
Bound to have a disappointing experience now and again, I suppose:
#1. If I say the fry-​oil is bad, I may know something about fry-​oil; don’t give me MORE chips fried from the same oil. (Yes, the 2^nd batch was as bad as the first.) Everyone around us was also complaining about the chips tasting bad (like, having been fried in rancid fry oil, bad). The kitchen manager (Nov 1^st, 8PM) also was insistent that the chips were fine and that «the fry oil was changed this morning.» Even new oil can go bad (too hot), etc. We feel bad for the [at least] 2 to-​go spinach dips that went out. After sending the 2^nd batch back, we (eventually got Storme’s attention and) ordered two salsas and proceeded to eat our spinach dip with forks and salsa. Some time later, more than halfway through our odd appetizer, a brand new set of chips was brought out; no rancid aroma, just the good and reliable Cheddar’s chips! No, the kitchen manager did not come out and recant his earlier statement or express any form of explanation. That’s bad for us, this review likely wouldn’t have happened if someone had TRIED to make anything right.
#2. The Dr Pepper at the bar is flat, the lady bartender (Storme) knew this, disclaiming that if we don’t like it she will get it from another station before we even had any. Sure enough; it was flat/​too syrupy. Empty glasses, and we wonder how we are going to get more Dr Pepper because she seemed too busy to handle it. She tells another person on the outside of the bar «they don’t want it from here, can you get a Dr Pepper, no ice, from [the other] station?» And not in a forgiving tone, either. It’s not that we «don’t want it» it’s not balanced, we don’t want to drink Dr Pepper syrup. We then got the Dr Pepper split among our two glasses, and, surprise, there wasn’t enough. Would have probably been just as easy to get two fresh glasses instead of that one with no ice.
Miss Storme persisted in her strange verbal communication ways, she proceeded to wipe down the bar while patrons were still sitting there (us included) and when a lady two seats down from me noticed, she just naturally nudged her belongings closer to her and Storme said, «I’m not coming anywhere near you, darling.» in a forced-​polite, yet obviously condescending way. None of us sitting at the bar were impressed with her, she had a strange way of communicating, and needed a little help with her customer service skills — and even coworker skills; she didn’t mesh well, or maybe it was a terrible, horrible, no-​good day for her. Even if it were, if we were first timers at Cheddar’s that night, we would not have been back.
When all was said and done, the entrees were, as usual, good. A lunch portion buffalo chicken wrap, two Caesar salads, and a lunch portion bourbon glazed salmon with corn and green beans were consumed. They were delicious as usual. We wish the service and chips were equally as delicious. We paid full price for the full ticket, no discounts or comps for our troubles (we politely declined a comp for the spinach dip because we found a creative way to eat it). We even tipped well. For Jonah. Thanks Jonah, for delivering the customer service expected at any restaurant, and even exceeding that standard by quite a bit. We hope your coworker learns from you, and even your Kitchen Manager.
One odd star for Storme and the kitchen manager and the weird chip situation, five stars for Cheddar’s quality entrees. We will meet in the middle at three this time. Maybe, soon, they can redeem this strangely disappointing evening.

Cheddars is a scratch kitchen, which we love. Chicken tenders are da bomb! Monte Carlos are really good, Philly cheese steak sandwiches are really good. Love the green beans and the bourbon salmon (med rare only) is delicious… my favorite. Perhaps the best restaurant in Bedford.

Went early so no waiting. The lunch crowd filled the place up really quick. The service was fast and accurate. The food was pretty good. I had the Philly cheesesteak and found it adequate for a chain restaurant. The place does get a bit noisy. The price was reasonable.

Never been to this location before, tbh the new sign out front kind of threw me off but the food is excellent. I ordered the salmon blackened and it was great. The atmosphere is cool, I also tried the skinny margarita which was cool. The only reason this place is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the staff. As I was eating I noticed some shouting going on in the back area of the kitchen by a staff member. The cursing wasn’t directed towards any customers but it definitely ruined my lunch time vibe. I would generally have overlooked the initial disturbances but this particular young lady was very loud all of the time. I probably will come back I’ll just sit anywhere she is not. My waiter was super cool and provided great service

Food was not great. It was bland. Everything tasted heated up. Waitress was nice… But the food was terrible.

–Mediocre food for a high price.
–Slow, inattentive service.
–Unimpressed with the food selection on the menu.
–Kitchen staff needs to learn how to not burn the croissants.

The fried cheese (I don’t remember what they call it) is amazing. You must try it. It is different than other restaurants. I also ordered the chicken strip/​fried shrimp combo. No surprise, the shrimp was not very fresh or flavorful. The chicken was heavily breaded and crunchy. I prefer more chicken.
Another huge perk of Cheddar’s is their cocktail menu pricing is simply unbeatable. The usually cocktail that costs around $ 10.50 is only $ 5.50 here and that alone makes it a place worth returning to!

I seriously love Cheddar’s. The quality of food is awesome, fresh, and tasty. I can’t stay away from the Chicken Finger appetizer… It’s like $ 7, and you get 5 – 6 massive tenders and fries. Fast food prices for sit down service. The Monte Cristo is super legit. The alcoholic beverages are delicious. The atmosphere is nice and it’s family friendly. It’s a go-​to for us, for cheap deliciousness. Highly recommend!

Cheddars painkiller was awesome but the chicken fried steak was not my favorite, the oil that they cook it in must have been old because it had a very weird aftertaste. I would be willing to give it another chance and try something else due to the reasonable pricing.

The food and service were awesome! Made from scratch onion rings! Monte Cristo and Key Lime Chicken and Shrimp were items ordered! Delicious! Great atmosphere, clean restaurant and again great staff! Going back!

Where has this place been all my life? I would never get this excited over a chain restaurant, but seriously! This place has great sized portions and prices! Plus the service was on point. I got the Dijon mustard chicken with mushrooms over a bed of rice and sides of loaded mashed potatoes and home-​style green beans. I loooove me some comfort food! This place hit the spot. We will defintely be coming by here again.

I like this location. It is beautiful and the food is good. They even remade a sandwich when we forgot it on the table as we left. Awesome!
The reason for 4 stars is call ahead orders. I called and placed an order for two entrees. This way it would be done or almost done when I got there. They did not even start making it until we got there. That almost made me late for work.

Ordered take out I ordered over $ 50 worth of food and it was ready in 15 minutes which was AMAZING food was great and service was great!

Love coming to Cheddar’s! Especially this location! Service was very fast and the servers are super nice.
Everything ordered was very tasteful and hot. Food and drinks come super quick.
i highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. It is amazingggggg. The margaritas are only $ 3.49 which is super cheap. The bartender maked them with plenty of tequila also… Will come again!
