On the way through this nice little town, we stopped over at Dickey’s. I was craving their spicy sausage but sadly I for me, they were out of it. Have no fear my food loving fanatics, the manager gave me the regular sausage and a small side. He also apologized for being out of the spicy sausage with his slow and sweet(southern?) drawl. I graciously thanked him, paid, and pulled over the the parking lot and scarfed down the entire thing. Seriously recommend for good, fast, affordable food with a side of amazing service.

The counter person said«don’t forget your free ice cream» I said cool and filled up my soda cup with vanilla soft serve and added root beer! That root beer float hit the spot!!!

Dickeys BBQ is a fantastic place to feed lots of people. Everyone is always happy because the food is excellent! I usually order 2 meats 3 sides(pulled pork and Chicken) ALL the sides are great. They deliver without charging me :) I highly recommend this restaurant!

They take your meat out of a wrapped plastic package that’s been in e sandwich fresh. The moisture is kept inside. Great idea

I love the food here. The smokey flavor and the different sauces are amazing. The sides are great and I am in love with the fried okra. The staff is always friendly. I just wish the prices were a lower.

Not hard to find ‘store front’ next to 5 guys & Fries. Initial impression is ‘omg, what have we here.’ Dark & dingy appearance. Order & pay at the counter. My beef brisket kinda dry but tasty after flooding it with BBQ sauce. I also chopped up the onion slice & pickle into it. Not bad. Wife & step son had pork ribs. They were outstanding. Good bark, yet pink on inside. Sides, baked beans, mac&cheese, string beans were good. Free soft ice cream for desert. Overall a bit pricey, lacks atmosphere, good quality ribs. Not sure if we’ll return.

I lived in Texas for quite a while, and in Texas Dickey’s BBQ wouldn’t be considered one of the best. There are just too many small local unbelievable BBQ joints all over the state. But I was very pleasantly surprised with the BBQ here at Dickey’s in Beckley. The brisket was very flavorful and tender with a little crust around it, and brisket is the hardest thing to cook properly. The ribs were very tender with a nice smoke ring. All in all it was a nice experience.

SOGOOD! Okay, I am from Ohio, so I’m not used to good Southern BBQ, but this place was great. Pulled pork was crazy tender and the rolls will rock your world.

Stopped in here while out of town with work. When walking in the door you could just smell the smoke so we was expecting that goodness and I feel we was let down. As one person has said stay away from the potato salad. It plain out sucks. If I wanted to eat sour cream I’d just buy a bowl of it. The pulled pork was ok when they pulled the pork instead of tearing the meat the work used her hand and rolled it like it was bead dough. The BBQ sauce wasn’t very good it was kept in kettles so it was piping hot and not in a good way, it was very acidic. Don’t think I’ll be back here.

No complaints but better BBQ eats available within 1 mile. Won’t say where because I don’t profess to be a BBq expert. My personal preference is for a little less smoke. I would eat here again without reservation. The meats are pretty good.

The pulled pork was good… ham is too… never tried much else. green beans not very good. or mac n cheese… fries are tasty. you must add your own sauce. .but you have 3 kinds to choose from. The baked potatoes look good and free ice cream. .I just think 10.00 for a lil hoagie and 2 sides is pricey.

Stopped thru on our way to Princeton after finding the place on Unilocal – we love a good BBQ joint, so decided to check it out – sooo glad we did! Casual environment, nice staff(they don’t talk much if they’re busy, but they’re not rude), DELICIOUS food(especially the brisket & potato salad!), & very reasonable prices for a BBQ joint – plus everyone gets a free ice cream cone if you dine in! Wish we had this place back home – will definitely be eating there again in the future!

He said: Had Dickey’s in SC and it was similarly good. Chatted with the owner — he was cool and was really excited about making the best BBQ and the best sides. We said we didn’t love the dill in the potato salad and he insisted on replacing it with something else. He did, with the beans, and they were quite good. The brisket was good but the pulled pork was KILLER. Really. The place wasn’t super busy, but the owner says on weekends the line goes out the door. Tiny but clean dining room. Clean bathrooms. Onion tanglers are fried when you order them and are super tasty. She said: Absolutely delicious! My favorite of the day was the pulled pork. I also enjoyed the jalapeño beans and onion tanglers.
