Standard taste for a Cracker Barrel. Food was good, but service is slow. I think they are just understaffed. They seem to be busy as they are in a good location just off the interstate.

Decided to stop here on a road trip and walked in, yes it was busy seems like they all are. Walked up to the lady and the manager plus 2 other people were standing there. Waited and waited for them to take my name to get in line and after they bypassed me and waited on someone else I decided to let the whole place know how CRAPPY the service was. Never again. Managment get your act together. Geez.

Slow slow slow service. The restairant was not at all busy. Once the waitress showed up and took the order it took the kitchen an unusually long time to cook fhe food. Standard Cracker Barrel fare Good.

I gave this Cracker Barrel only 2 out 5 stars because the staff is poorly trained. [Manager’s fault, imo] At the hostess table, we asked for a gluten-free menu and after the hostess communicated with someone on the other end of her headset, we were told they didn’t have one. After we were seated, my husband informed the waiter he was GF. The waiter went and got him their GF menu. [smh] We opened our wrapped utensils and found them greasy. We asked for new ones, which we got, but found them also dirty. [Poor kitchen staff training, again manager’s fault, imo] Then we got another set of utensils, without asking, but were not satisfied with them either. Ended up just washing them ourselves. Our waiter was friendly & attentive. The food was just okay. We will not visit this Cracker Barrel again.

The order wasn’t delivered together for a family of five. Mashed potatoes weren’t brought out with one of the meals. Told the waitress I was missing mashed potatoes, it took 5 minutes to get them.

At 11:20 am on a Thursday: «Good morning. How many will there be?» «Two.» «What’s your name?» «Spell it.» «It’ll be about ten minutes,» as we look over a half-empty dining room. Not gonna happen today — we didn’t stop by here to get attitude!

Terrible service! My to go order was wrong. when I called to talk to the manager(3 x’s) no manager would get on the phone. Then I spoke to the girl who gave me my order and told her she told me she isnt a server, she just went back to the kitchen to get my order and that its not her job the read the receipt to see if the food is correct?! Are you kidding me?! You work there and got take out… it is your job to check orders. The place is busy and unorganized

Vegetable plate was good, though next time I would have double okra and skip the cheese grits. Delicious biscuits! Our server, Emilee, was fantastic, and very friendly.

Just finished breakfast there! In a 45 minute visit, was only offered one glass of tea, when breakfast finally came out, was told there was a 7 minute wait on biscuits! This was definitely one of the worst experiences that I have had in a Cracker Barrel in a real long time.

I went here for a birthday party. We were a group of ten so we had to set at separate tables after we waited an hour to be seated. We placed pour orders and waited a good half hour for our food. Food was cooked just right so waiting on it was ok. When my plate was set in front of me it was not what I had ordered. I ordered the southern fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I received the chicken with hash browns and gravy. I immediately started this is not what I ordered the waiter argued with me. Someone at the other table that was in or group said I think I have your plate she had already eaten half of it so this satisfied the waiter and he walked away. When he came back the plate of food was still seeing there untouched and now cold he had the nerve to ask me if everything was alright. I said NO and stated I ordered mashed potatoes and veggies with the fried chicken, I don’t like hash browns and gravy. So he runs to the kitchen and brings me back a small container of potatoes. My meal was ruined because the chicken is cold it has gravy on it I never got the veggies but I got a crappy container of nasty mashed potatoes. I was charged for the meal I ordered but never got and was also charged for the hash browns and gravy. My coward husband went ahead and paid for all this I was not going to I was going to bitch about it. Don’t go here if you want what you order.

Loved the store, biscuits were awesome. Food was mediocre at best. We have decided to stick to breakfast if we ever eat at a Cracker Barrel again. They know their starches!

I will never eat here again. I took my family, most of whom were from out of town, here because it was the only thing still open that hadn’t run out of everything. The appetizers cane out in dirty plates and when I complained to the manager she didn’t even say sorry. When the food came out m sons meatloaf was RAW. The manager never offered something else. When we left they still expected us to pay for the meal. I’ll never go there again.

There aren’t many food options in Beckley, WV, especially late at night, so I opted to have dinner at Cracker Barrel because it was right behind my hotel and I was exhausted! I haven’t been in one for years, if ever, and a steak(cooked wonderfully!) with southern fixin’s sounded just right. I got dumplings(really good), hash brown casserole(ok), turnip greens(just not a fan) and pinto beans(good). The food was great! The service was great! I spent way too much money in the attached store but overall I enjoyed my experience. The waiter also helped me find a plug in for my phone and made sure to send me home with a to-go cup of sweet tea. For newbies, you pay in the adjoined store, but yes you are allowed to do a little shopping before just give them your meal ticket. I found a few nice Christmas gifts! Loved the shop. Pricey but unique items. Tamarack was already closed at 8 p.m. or I would have gone there to try it out. I’ve heard it’s one of the better places for a meal. I also still want to give King Tut’s a try. Maybe next time!

Let’s face it, Cracker Barrel is a place for breakfast. I’ve been to Beckley three times now and always swing through here in the morning. We’ve never had bad service. This isn’t high grade food by any means, but their biscuits are darn good and there’s nothing on the menu(breakfast) that isn’t edible. You’ll get that country cooking feeling here, coupled with good service and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great place to bring the family for breakfast.

Breakfast. All day breakfast. Service was good. Coffee was maintained. It’s what you expect. Weekend service seems friendlier and promoter.

Pancakes were amazing! Service could have been a little better. Eggs weren’t cooked all the way, scraped uncooked white off and ate the rest. All in all not bad.

Very poor service — also did survey and never heard back from them — it is clear customer service is NOT. A focus here.

This is our first time eating at this chain. It was a very interesting place with the store that had all the old school candies and other items. As for the food, it was OK but nothing special. The server was good. I had the roast beef which was good but the gravy could have been better. the mashed potatoes where good. The beans appeared to be canned which is strange coming from a place that promotes«home cooking». I did not like the dumplings at all. the biscuits were very good.

Love Cracker Barrel, but sometimes things sound too funny to be true. Us: «We have 17 in our group» Host: «Ok, divide yourselves into groups of 4» Us: «Fine, but we’ll need a 5th chair at one table» Host: «Why, can’t you divide?» Really?!?
