After waiting 21 minutes for a drink we left. The table next to us had to go find a server to place an order. Unfortunate, we had high hopes. The ladies working were busy. Could have used more staff or assistance from a manager.

We are so disappointed! Stopped by for a drink and after 30 minutes of waiting for just our drinks we left. We will give it one more stop but the tables on both sides of us stated they were surprised at the lack of service. Wish we had seem a manager to help us.

Fried chicken is good. Wish they had more cider. Amber was AWSOME. I was having a craptastic day and she was so nice.

The fondue and the steak frites are amazing! The steak is super tender and their steak sauce is addictive! Also, I love Mindi and Colin! As long as they’re there, I’ll keep coming back!

First visit for us after work today. The place has a nice social vibe. It’s dark and inviting despite high-standing tables and equally high chairs. Service was very good and fair to say the best part of our visit. Our server was attentive, personable, and pleasant. We found the food to be mediocre and somewhat over priced. My wife had the toast covered in a tasty mix of greens and some kind of berry. I had a bite and thought it was good. We both had a wedge salad and found them to be only fair at best. Then I had a bowl of gazpacho and again found it only fair, lacking any distinct or creative flavor. Much like cold tomato soup. I also thought the portion size was on the small side for a bowl. My wife had mac and cheese and had she not ordered it with bacon mixed in it would have been very bland and not as good as what you would make at home. I finished up with three soft tacos and they were pretty good. My wife had an Arnold Palmer and had to ask for a refill. All told, we tapped out at $ 57.50 — pretty expensive for what we got. The waiter was excellent and I showed our gratitude with a generous tip. Overall, a disappointing experience. We will likely not re-visit as I think it’s geared more for younger people looking to drink and cut loose. In that context probably a fun place to burn through a $ 100 in drinks and a chance to get lucky.

I went to Watson Hall twice in one week. Once for drinks and once for lunch. The drink night was just ok, bartenders were not attentive, took forever to ask if I wanted a drink or even a menu. It was odd as I sat right at the bar. Finally ordered food, a burger and it was just ok but not worth the wait. Lunch again was underwhelming, everything tasted like the polenta fry oil. I dont know, just an ok experience. It’s a great location in an area that needs good food. I give them a third try but it’ll be in 6 or 8 months… Hopefully they’ll have rallied by then. The building is cool. The staff was courteous when I actually spoke to them.

We decided to try Watson Hall as a closer alternative to our favorite gastro-pub, so I’m probably a little biased because I was comparing it to a place we love. Cons: Drink selection not as interesting as I would have liked, service was a little slow(but they were quite busy), my husband loved the short rib sandwich but it was a bit light on the meat, and I didn’t find as many vegetarian options as I would have liked. Pros: Fun atmosphere(with classic movies like Grease projected on the wall), good quality food(I really enjoyed the Watson Hall salad with chevre, cranberries & walnuts and I don’t usually like goat cheese!), friendly service, and reasonable prices. Definitely worth a try to see if it’s your kind of place!

Great food. Nice environment. Unfortunately, the server seemed a little stressed. She was awesome! But all alone out front to serve & bartend. She did a great job checking in, but ran her butt off!

(Edit: I will not be back.) The Food — mediocre. There is better and for cheaper. I had the short rib slider and the polenta fries(happy hour). Short ribs were decent(be warned there is horseradish, I found out too late); and the polenta fries were subpar. Polenta fries were what grits are and that’s plain.(This is where I was suppose to receive the two sauces and didn’t know about the up charge until too late). The Drinks — I only had one drink(Berrylicious). I tasted lime and ginger beer only none of the berry infused rum The Staff — friendly, helpful; greet you immediately; they don’t warn about up charges(apparently adding a sauce charged me 50¢, it’s not the money it’s the principal; and I only received one sauce not both; I didn’t know about the up charge until the bill or else I would have mentioned I was missing a sauce, I was ready to leave and didn’t contest the charge) The Atmosphere — very cozy, intimate; dim lights, penny covered bar, and comfortable seating

What a gem! This has become my new go to spot. It’s like nothing else in town. I’m in love with the selection of mules, the pulled pork sliders, the infused vodkas, & the deconstructed chicken pot pie. They are always doing something new. The quirky but classy décor and vibe make it a comfortable place for a business lunch or a semicasual date. Don’t expect common bar food you can tell that they put a lot of thought into the menu. The service always prompt and friendly but never in your face. I’ve got dietary restrictions and the servers are always kind and happy to accommodate.

Love this place. I always get polenta fries to start my meal off here. Fries+polenta, how could that ever be a bad thing? They have a few different types of dipping sauces to go with them. My favorites are the melted butter with gorgonzola and the bacon with scallions. The menu has a whole section of just brats. So far they’re all good. I’ve tried the spicy Italian and the smoked polish. Both very juicy and very good. I got the mac and cheese today with a brat on top. So ooey gooey and cheesy. I tried the shnitzel and mashed potatoes that another person got. That’s pretty bomb too. The mashed potatoes are very reminiscent of classic German potatoe salad. Yumm! One of my favorite things is that they have a whole section in their drink menu just for different variations on mules. So there’s one for every flavor preference. Over all fun place to go!

Pretty great atmosphere. We went for lunch and had a great time. I got a couple whiskey sours and the schnitzel. Drinks were delicious. They had those cherries that are dark and really good. If you’ve had them you know what I’m talking about. The schnitzel was out of this world. Topped with thin apple spears. The mashed potatoes are paired with an amazing sauce that made the meal outstanding. It was my first visit of what will be many.

Cool ambiance. Very modern and«dark». Good for small groups and a quick drink. Very nice and clean. Bar area is small and lacks viewing of games if you come in solo. Tables have good view of tvs though. Cool friendly staff, very nice and knowledgeable. Not gonna lie though, the Haus Fries were different. Small — literally shoe lace size.

Watson Hall… a perfect classy watering hole unlike any other in B-Town. They’ve changed their menu considerably since they first opened, with a simplified menu based on a «Brat Haus» theme… The sausages are legit… made in house and served on funky trays with choices of toppings. They could also name themselves«the International House of Mules» as this copper cupped cocktail has several incarnations(mules: they’re not just for Moscow anymore!) I like the Vegas Mule… Can’t remember what’s in it, but the third one always goes down the smoothest! Tip: they have a short rib sandwich on the menu, so if decarli is too crowded, take a walk around the corner :)

3 things – 1. Nutella Pudding 2. Deep-fried Apple Fritters 3. Burgers with shoe-string fries Watson Hall may be one of my new favorite local bars to grab a burger and some scrumptious desserts. The Nutella Pudding is decadently sweet and delicious, topped off with some whipped cream and salty nuts. The Deep-Fried Apple Fritters are doughy, soft, and crispy on the outside. Also comes with some whipped cream and a caramel apple sauce on the side. The burgers come with a hearty serving of shoe-string fries. Yum! The ambiance is actually pretty nice, and the space is bigger than I thought and clean. If you get a chance, check out the bar top — it’s covered in pennies! Service is good, a little slow at times, but the servers are friendly.

Watson Hall is the quintessential«meeting place» for old friends. With a decent variety of beverages, comfort foods and a dim social vibe, I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Although I was a tad disappointed with the Moscow Mule I ordered(it did not have crushed mint leaves in it so I renamed it the«Beaverton Mule»), I enjoyed the other dishes I ordered which included the fried chicken entrée(out of this world delish), and pickled veggies which more than satisfied my pickle cravings. The lady taking care of us provided spot perfect service and the supporting crew were equally amiable. Will definitely come here again someday as the atmosphere kept me comfortable, in my element, and at ease. And besides, they have another section of the restaurant that plays movies. Tonight, Pee Wee Herman was playing!!! Thanks a for a fun and memorable experience.

This is a great spot for happy hour! A friend of ours suggested this place, it’s where some of her casual first dates have been. We saw a range of people dressed from business casual having drinks after work to serious bicyclists with their waterproof backpacks and their clip-clopping cycling shoes. The happy hour menu is very reasonably priced and the atmosphere has a classy hipster-esque vibe to it. Adding to the atmosphere were the oversized drooping chandeliers and the fact that Star Wars(The Empire Strikes Back to be specific) was playing on a projector onto a back wall of the bar. The food was great and the service so-so. When our group of 5 was there, the waitstaff were busy training new hires. The only problem with so many waitstaff training people was that they were constantly forgetting that we placed a drink order, or in my case, they forgot to bring me my food. It was awkward because they brought everyone else’s food to the table but mine and did not check back at the table at all. My husband ended up walking over to ask them if it my food was ready yet. They were apologetic but I do see improvement on their side, like checking back with the table after serving food and remembering drink orders. Overall, nice place. I’d go back again for happy hour!

I took my husband here tonight to have a kid free dining experience for his birthday. I’m all about kid friendly dining, but we had a babysitter and made a point to go somewhere we can’t normally with the kiddo. It was Sunday night– and the place was dead. Ok, no biggie. Then we realized, the only other people inside were families with kids. It took quite a while before the bartender realized we had sat down at a table. Drink orders and overall service was pretty slow — which seemed odd considering no one was there! 2 guys were sitting at the bar who were pretty noisy, chit chatting with the bartender. Then 20 mins later one of them starts delivering lit candles to the tables AND asking how we were. Did he work there? I’m not sure. Cause after he finished he put his headphones back on, and sat back at the bar drinking like he was enjoying himself as a customer. We got 1 round of cocktails and fondue and decided to get dinner elsewhere. The food & drinks were good, but the atmosphere was really lacking. Also — AC doesn’t seem to work well, as was evident by the box fan in the corner. The menu looks as thought it has changed too. Not nearly as adventurous or exciting as I remember it being. Bummed us out, although the it had been a little while — our last visit was excellent. We left buzzed, full from great food and had really enjoyed our kid free night out someplace in the burbs that felt like downtown. Not tonight.
