Tanasbourne 76 Station & Car Wash

I drove in needing gas and some oil because my oil light came on a few times. I asked if they had oil and the attendant said he did and asked which kind. Then he asked me to pop my hood and he put it in for me making sure he was clean and didn’t spill. I ended up needing at least 2 quarts and they were so polite and helpful! They have a car wash there also but I was in a hurry. Great gas station to go to! Fantastic customer service.

One of the few touchless car washes I’ve been able to find in the Portland area! That in itself earns an extra star. I somehow found a few hours without the gross Oregon rain we all know and love. Thankfully, on a day a bird pooped all over the car. The car came out cleaner than it went in which is a win for me. As a bonus, you get an extra $.10 off a gallon. The gas is also more expensive than what I pay at other places nearby, so sneaky, 76! Overall, glad I found this touchless car wash!

1^st, I am appalled by the lack of good automatic car washes around here. The West coast is horrible. This place was my 2^nd option as I just bought a luxury car and never washed it for almost 5 months because I just couldn’t find a good automatic car wash. my former vehicle was abused by the carwash I used to go to and I wasn’t ready to treat this new baby with neglect. so I chose ‘touch free’…and I regretted. After the wash, I step out to clean all the soap suds in my car and mirrors that the attendants conveniently ignored and I noticed that there were little stains on my windshield and car bonnet (yea…excuse my British term… hood. right?). On close examination, there were actually chips! my windshield had been damaged by tiny miniscule high pressured pebbles… oh my God! My ‘hood’… car paint chipped off here and there. I am yet to recover from this… here I was trying to protect my car and I came out with the same result… I don’t know whether to cry or be mad. I left the place because I already know they never claim responsibility for damages… my poor car… I am so sorry. I know I will never come here again… I have to handwash my car I guess… but too little too late. what a lame city with no good carwashes… I miss the Midwest and east coast!

Hit or miss.
it’s nice that it’s a touchless wash, but the drying isn’t all that great. The fans themselves do nothing, and if the car wash is busy, don’t expect to get a very good hand wash. I’ve left with a sparkling car, and I’ve left with a smudged car with dead bugs still on the grill.
I guess the key is to come when there isn’t a line? Oh, and there’s always a line.

WOOHOO! This car wash is awesome! It’s only$ 9 and you get an extra $ 0.10 off for every gallon of gas your purchase. But you get someone to pressure was your car, to go through the touchless car wash with all pressure washers, and then two people to hand dry at the end! You don’t even have to get out of your car! And let me tell you, I had just taken a 12 hour roadtrip and my car was filled with bugs, and they did a great job of cleaning it up!
If you have questions, they guys are nice and will answer them.
If you want to vacuum, there is a spot just next to the wash, and you need to slide your credit card for time. But I think it’s DIY.
I can’t wait to go back.

Pretty unimpressed with the car wash. First time going through a touchless carwash and frankly it leaves quite a bit to be desired.
It was fairly pricey for a car wash did less than a mediocre job. I still have spots on my car where couldn’t get some of the leaves off the back of my SUV, I still have soap all over my car and my sunroof looks like it wasn’t washed at all.
Would I repeat? No.

These guys are the best. Tip them good, both the beginning and end and you won’t be disappointed! Been coming here for 3 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My Husband always comes to this location for a car wash. I had a bad experience twice with the same situation and will never come back here for gas! I asked the man for $ 40 regular in my truck and he repeated it back so I figure he understood. He took forever and filled it up to a $ 100! Come on! Pay attention and do your Job! How difficult is your job? If there was self service in Oregon gas stations I would do it myself! Terrible service!!! Never again!

Way to slow. Price gouging on the gas prices. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The touchless is nice but it takes a really long time to get through the line.

I never get gas here, I am a hard core Chevron fan. I love the guys at the Chevron across from Big Lots, we fill all our vehicles there.
I go to Tanasbourne for the Touchless Car Wash. There can be a hell of a line at times, but it is the only place I can get my car washed other than at home and doing it myself. That will never happen. I wash my car about once a week and am very happy with the job they do!
It is actually a buck cheaper than Kaddy Car Wash and they wipe your car dry by hand.

The towels they use to dry are dirty which leaves minor scratches else the wash is good.

When I’m trying to look for a fast car wash, I can’t find one. When I’m not looking, I see a whole bunch. Arggh. Well I drove past this one and figured I’d treat Eddie (my car lol) to a nice bath since he hasn’t had one for a while. I also needed to fill up on gas.

The gas attendant was really nice and funny, he explained to me about the car wash since it was my first time there.
For $ 9, I think the wash is worth it. I like the fact that they spray your car and clean your tires before heading into the wash. I also don’t mind the towel drying just as long as they wipe it down good, which they did.
I will definitely give this place a whirl again.

As far as drive thru, touch less car washes go, this is probably a good one.
There is always a line that wraps around the gas station parking lot, that means people come back for more.
They accept cash or card for the wash itself, but they are unable to give change if you want to vacuum the car out. This was a deal breaker for me. So seriously, minus two stars.
The staff is alright, unless you ask for something, like change for the vacuume machins.
I wish they would add a card reader for that. Would be amazing.

Touchless is important to me. I’m not sure about the drying process as they do it by hand, which is great, but how dirty are the towels? (That’s why they lost a star) I like that they spray down your car by hand. My car has a spoiler and the automated ones don’t get under it, leaving a dirty strip on my window. But my car is super clean and not scratched, so I’m happy.
It’s not perfect, but for $ ⁸⁄₉ bucks, what do you expect? If you want perfect, don’t be cheap, spend $ 100 and get it professionally detailed. ;)

I told them that I wanted the $ 9 option which includes washing the undercarriage.
After the car wash, my undercarriage was dry and still dirty.
The sides of my car was still soapy.
Front and back of the car still has dirt.
And they used rags to wipe down my car.
Not coming back.

This is my go-​to place to wash my car (granted, I don’t do it too often). Reason? The very few touchless car wash in my area. They spray stuff before you actually go into the car wash part and this is where they can do a directed high pressure hit to chunky things you have stuck to your car. One time, I parked under a tree that was dropping berry-​like things and it was worse than bird droppings! They spent the extra time to blast those things off before letting me go through. After the big blow dry, there are a couple guys doing the final wipe down, that’s a nice touch.
The only downside though, on a nice day, the line can be RIDICULOUS. Good thing you can see it from the road and avoid when it’s that long.

Wow, either I have no expectations of car washes or previous reviewers be crazy.
Let’s be clear, I hate washing my own car and do it rarely. I’m supposed to keep my company car clean, but hate doing that just about as much as washing my own car even though my company pays for it. But when I’m filling up here, I usually toss in a car wash.
However, my most recent excursion to this car wash was after a solid 4 months of not washing my company vehicle to the extent people could write in the dirt and the front tire were pink from brake dust. I finally broke down and swung by here to fill up and get their $ 9 wash.
I have never had anything but polite and quick gas fill up service. You can buy the wash at the same time and they just mark your car. The lines can certainly pile up, but it goes quickly. It starts with a fairly thorough presoak from the first attendant and a wheel brush. Then it’s the normal car wash soap, soak, rinse, la de da and woooosh loud dryers. At the very end they have 2 attendants wiping the cars down completely.
So, how did my car look after such neglect? Four months worth of filth GONE. POOF. Nice and clean. Even the wheels looked clean and fantastic.
It’s a bit pricier than other ones around, by a dollar or two, but it’s a very good and quick car wash with that little extra hand wipe down that makes it great. If you want a perfect job, go to a detail shop. Otherwise this is great.

Best car wash and service around. Gas prices can be a bit high but you get a $.10 discount per a gallon when you get a car wash.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. went to this place, actually got out and spoke with the attendant about my wheels that i just had redone about 8 hours prior. then the guy proceeds to run me straight into the guard rails. $ 100 in damage. denies speaking to me, denies the damage, denies everything. Phoned the owner, Tim — same story. This never has happened before, not their fault, nothing they’ll do. didn’t even offer to refund the $ 10, i had to charge it back.
do yourself a favor and don’t ruin your day by going here. and definitely don’t give tim any of your hard earned money. what a jerk.

Nice people, and a place I often stop for a quick Rock Star!
The car wash can be funky sometimes, but it is safe and everything… the machine just does not exactly make it easy on how to figure out when to drive in.
