Went back last week to find that the place is permanently closed :(

For instant ramen the broth was really good. Big portions. No wait and quiet. Satisfying for a rainy day.

Can I first start off by saying that the music selection here is OFFTHEHOOK! If you wanted to eat delicious ramen and listen to some good throwbacks from the early 2000’s — well this is the place for you! The service is very friendly. The menu is kind of limited. There’s not as many options but it makes ordering easier. The ramen(around 9 dollars) comes with rice balls, which is a nice compliment if you are ordering the spicy kimchee ramen. The food comes out pretty quickly and I’ve never had to wait in line to get a table, which is good if you are pretty hungry and want food fast. Overall, I had a good experience!

This place barely makes A-OK. I had Japanese ramen and it was not good at all. I was hungry too and that was probably the only reason why I finished it… The rice balls that came out with it wasn’t great and the banchans were ok. My friend’s Chambong was alright but the Stir-fried Chambong was spicy and delicious. But $ 14 for stir-fried chambong? Little expensive for such a simple dish. Overall, this place needs to step up its game a bit. It might be better off just focusing on its strength, which obviously is Chambong.

Great place. I work nearby and have been waiting months(if not a year!) for this joint to open up. Since its Korean owned, I opted for the Champong(server’s rec) and it was fantastic. A huge bowl of piping hot noodles, seafood(mussels, prawns with head, octopus and squid) with a rich, full bodied broth served with a side of kimchi. It easily could be shared between two people with a small side dish — potstickers perhaps? I do not recommend eating here(or any Korean for that matter) if you have a meeting afterward… for obvious reasons. Unless of course you’re dining with your coworkers. But any other time, I highly recommend it. Looking forward to a return visit so I can try the other menu items!

Sarah B. heard of this place opening, and had attempted to try it a few times but been unsuccessful, so when I blew into town, we decided on a little outing. This is pretty bad… not the worse, but definitely über subpar. The flavor is not good and the noodles are soggy. The rice balls are good and the kimchi is well past its prime. Not recommended.

Ramen feels like an afterthought here. The selection is limited and the broth for both the shoyu and tonkotsu ramen lacked taste — nothing more than flavored water. Ramen places should serve the traditional accompaniment of gyoza but there is none to be found on their small and limited menu. I don’t get the Korean offerings on the menu either. I love Korean food but when I come to a ramen restaurant, I expect to eat ramen. The kim chee was ok, but again, it’s supposed to be a ramen joint people!

Ramen is what they do here. The menu is in two sections: Japanese and Korean, and each section has about 4 choices. Descriptions are brief or perhaps a bit shorter, but they’re friendly, so don’t be afraid to ask. They’ll probably show you an example of the dish. I had the shoyu ramen, which is a pretty basic Japanese-style. I was a bit bummed that the egg was fried in advance, as I like it poached in the hot broth. I brought this up with the nice lady and she offered an egg for me then, but the broth had cooled so I held off, and she said she’d hook it up next time. The seafood ramens(under the Korean section) are huge. Tons of seafood, great value, good taste. They are no longer cash only.

This place is owned by a korean couple and they serve japanese ramen and korean noodle as well. I tried their tonkotsu ramen but found it lacking. The broth felt flat on me(it felt like it’s lacking porky flavor comparing it to yuzu :) and could use some work. the few slices of pork that they put were not appetizing at all and very chewy. I’ll come back again to try their korean noodle. hopefully that will be much better…

This new ramen restaurant just opened this week in Cedar Hills. It’s in the former I Love Sushi place. The owners sold Banya in Beaverton and opened this new restaurant. The menu is limited now since they just opened… it’s all udon and ramen soup noodles on the menu. The owner told me they will be expanding their menu over the next few months. I tried it for lunch — had Cham Pong which is a Korean spicy seafood noodle soup. I recommend it. It was delicious — full of flavor and very spicy. It came with a side of kim chee. I’ll be back to try some of the Japanese soup noodle dishes. So far this place is very promising.
