The yellow curry was watery and not cooked with hair in it. The pot stickers were charcoaled. There was smoke inside the building from burnt oil.

My food was cold when it came out which felt like forever after I had ordered it. I tried the normal basil stir fried dish. The shrimp in it were still raw, the texture was so strange… Plus the shrimp and rest of the meal were hardly warm. That is the worst for me, eating out and getting hardly warmed food… :-(I was excited to try the Lao dishes but there was mainly ONLY Thai food on the menu. Tried the Lao chicken wings but nothing super exciting. My hub got the Mussaman curry and it was really good and hot. Thinking while they were cooking his mine was sitting there getting cold. The waiter was friendly and he felt bad that the service sucked. I feel bad because it’s a tiny cute place but I won’t be back.

Decent food. We get take out mostly. Food is promptly put ready. Curry fried rice is good and basil fried rice is great. I wish they had food delivery.

Located in progress ridge on barrows, this Thai restaurant is good! They were under staffed so there wasn’t much service, but the owner was nice when we had contact. The pad kee moa is delicious! We got it with beef. It’s spicy but flavorful. It isn’t loaded with a bunch of peppers like some recipes have. It had broccoli which was very good. The yellow curry was not as milky or as flavorful as I have had from other restaurants. We ordered it with chicken and it was the best part as it soaked up the broth wonderfully.

DONOTEATHERE!!! We made the mistake of NOT listening to other Unilocal reviewers since some of the reviews were from months ago. We were hoping that maybe the quality had changed by now but unfortunately this is the WORST Pad Thai ever! Over $ 10 a plate for chicken pad Thai! My girlfriend ate only about three bites but couldn’t stand the taste of the food.

Ok Thai food. I think the quality and satisfaction gained really depends on what you order. The Pad Kee Mao was decent. The chicken teriyaki was like a fancier version of the mall teriyaki chicken meals(e.g. Sakkio/Sarku Japan). I’d try it again.

This place was not as bad as previous reviews indicate. I didn’t care for the egg rolls but my Pad Kee Mao was delicious. My family would come back if we were in the area again.

Not sure why there’s so much bad reviews but the food here is pretty good. The prices are decent compared to other Thai restaurants and our food came out fairly quick. I guess the service isn’t the best but you come here for the food, so I don’t really care that they’re not bending over backwards to wipe my mouth. Our waters are constantly filled and the food is delicious! I give it 5 stars for the food and the location… It’s also next to big al’s, cinetopia, la Provence, and new seasons. Win.

Worst customer service ever!!! I went in and the waiter didn’t even say hi. The food took forever to arrive. After the food arrived, the waiter just put the plate of food on my table without saying anything and then walked away. Seriously? Never eating there again.

Quite possibly the WORST Thai food I have ever had. After waiting over 40 minutes for a to-go order I ended up with stale tasting pad Thai. Flavorless mussaman with half potatoes in it, and over cooked flavorless shrimp in my pineapple curry. I will not ever be back.

Good food… But man!!! It’s not even worth calling in and ordering it to go. I waited 45 min for my to go order and I ordered 2 entrees. He offered to give me a .91 cent discount for the time I waited… Wow! So generous. Never again will I call in an order.

It is really quite unfortunate, as I have frequented disestablishment on numerous occasions and received absolutely nothing but stellar service as well as delicious food. Today I placed an order via telephone for takeout. The gentleman who answered the phone read back my order correctly. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order, he had made one dish incorrectly and tossed me one of the most offending looks I have experienced in my lifetime. He told me to «Sit down and wait it will be 15 more minutes.» While paying for my meal, he made absolutely no eye contact, provided no gratification for the sale or my patronage and tossed my credit card back at me on the counter. Again, this experience has been rather unfortunate, as I will no longer patronize this establishment nor will I refer anyone I know to dining here.

This place is clean and new, but the good ends there. I got the red chicken curry and my husband got the pot stickers and spring rolls. I have never had such a bland and flavorless curry. It was watery and not even one-note. It was almost as if they’d used a boxed vegetable stock as a base with no other seasoning. The spring rolls and pot stickers appeared to be ones that come pre-made and ready to fry. Edible, but nothing special at all. Very disappointed. We won’t be returning.

We live within walking distance of this restaurant and were thrilled to have a Thai place so close to home… until we ate there. This is among the worst Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food did not arrive until 45 minutes after we ordered. By this time we were so famished that I thought the food we taste good no matter what. I was wrong. The chicken in the pad kee mao was dry and flavorless. The beef salad was sloppy and equally bland. We waited a year to give it another try as many new restaurants have issues they have to adjust to in the beginning. The second time was even worse if you can believe it. There was a HAIRINTHEPAPAYASALAD!!! Avoid this place like the plague.

Please please please do not eat here. Do not order the«BBQ» special. Greasy overly fried unseasoned chicken w grease dripping on your cabbage! Gross! I questioned the BBQ part but the server was so rude and said they have to cook for their Americans and didn’t even acknowledge the disgusting chicken!!!

Went on a Friday night. Fairly busy, so service was a bit on the slow side. Food was great. Very clean restaurant and restrooms. Fair serving portions. Owner Kevin found my wallet and somehow tracked me down to return it the next day. Good people.

TL: DR Version: This place is inconsistent, had two good experiences and one terrible one. After today I understand why this place is getting the reviews it is getting. I’ve only been to this Thai places two others times, both at night. And had decent experiences both times. So when I was in the area and happened to be a bit peckish. The sign was out for the lunch specials so I decided to check it out. This was sometime between 4:30 and 5, little late for most lunch specials but a good time for happy hour ones. But there was no time listed on the sign, neither is there times given on the menu. With the lack of time listed, the lunch specials look like they run all day. Let me be specific; lunch isn’t a time. When I ask for a time, I don’t want anyone to say«Why it is lunch’a’clock» unless I want a good laugh. Lunch Special can mean many things, the foremost meaning is smaller portions, especially when it is said without a time. So when I walked in, I inquired about the availability of said lunch specials. The man at the counter laughed and said«It is too late for lunch specials.» I told him the sign was still out there, and did not specify a time. He said that«I don’t want to go into super detail and give out the time.» To which I replied«Well… when your whole deal relies on the time you order it… it kind of makes sense to list the time you have to order it. Doesn’t it?» The man got very defensive with me, saying that every other customer had been«just fine with it.» I assume from this mans tone and demeanor that he is the owner. And now it all fits for why this place prices its meals the way they do, and why every time I ask for spicy in the same way, I get varying degrees of spiciness. It is all based off this mans laziness of not wanting to go over the details. That is why the chicken dishes are all the same price no matter what you get. Why there is no veggies in the tofu dishes,(it is better to ask for veggie dishes rather than tofu for vegetarians) and just in general the inconsistency of this location. It is all stemming from the laziness of one man not wanting to think out the details. I was so curious why something like Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup were the exact same price. And now I know. In any case, I told the man what I wanted. I told him I wanted it medium spicy, not extra hot but not mild either. It was still extra hot. Whatever. Details. The other times I’ve been here were at night, there was a woman working and she seemed very friendly and helpful. I would recommend coming during the evening. Just note, if you ask for mild, there is NO spiciness at all. But if you ask for hot, it is a burner… although apparently not every time. Enter these doors with caution: you can not know what to expect.

I’ve eaten here a number of times partly because it’s very close to home and partly because it’s much healthier than the other alternatives nearby. What can you say about it — many times it seems staffed by one person — which although odd, does not usually seem to make a difference, unless a group or 3 shows up… Frequently, there are not of diners(take that as you may), so I guess it’s lucky for me. The seating arrangement leaves you feeling like you are in a long narrow hallway and the background music is top 40 radio station. All kind of, uh, different. But, the food — the food is fresh & the place is attractive & clean and the man who is often working is quite nice and does a good job.

The interior is a bit odd. As some other reviewers have opined, if it looks like the place is empty, I hesitate to go in. In actuality, the main dining area is tucked in the back, past the hallway and behind the kitchen. Service was wonderful, though I believe the proprietor was handling the duties. There were only two other tables beside us, but he checked in on all of us more than a few times. Since we went during lunch time, we ordered off their lunch specials. We shared the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Woon Sen and Curry Fried Rice. The pad thai was too acidic(ketchup-y?) for my tastes and seemed over-sauced. The noodles were of a decent texture. The pad kee mao was okay, kind of one note. The pad woon sen, which is cellophane noodles, felt over-seasoned. The curry fried rice was pretty standard. Not great food, but very nice service. If they could add more complexity /spices that I often find in SE Asian food, then I would give them another shot.
