Baskin-Robbins 31 Ice Cream Stores

Not even worth giving it 1 star. Shake was a runny milk with a little bit of ice cream. I didn’t know you could screw up a Sunday but they did!

Unbelievable!!! Sold us a Halloween cake on November 29^th!!!
The inspector should check to see how old their products are!!!

This review has nothing to do with the quality of Baskin-​Robbins ice cream. Rather it is a reflection of the poor customer service offered by the owners of this establishment. On two separate occasions my wife and I have been double charged and in both cases it is not been resolved.
The first time was an honest mistake with a pre-​ordered birthday cake, they decorated the wrong base cake. Apologized and offered a new cake in its place the next day. I believe I was accidentally charged the second time for the replacement cake. But the real issue was in the resolution process in which this store shows up as an «Aloha» store 97 006 on my credit card. I showed them the double charge on my credit card statement. The owners argued with me and told me «no, this is Beaverton.» The husband was supposed to contact the bank to resolve and never followed through. Unfortunately so much time passed that I couldn’t even dispute the charge.
Recently, my wife treated herself to an ice cream. The credit card reader seamed to fail, the other transaction was supposedly voided, and she was asked to re-​swipe and chose to use a different card in case it the magstrip was faulty. It turns out she was charged on both credit cards. Again, and honest mistake and only $ 5.49. But when she sought resolution with the store. All my wife received was pushback and denial.
Baskin Robbins ice cream is classic and family friendly, however, the owners of this store (and one other) are tarnishing the brand they bought into. I wish there was a corporate liaison who would intervene. I’m not telling them how to run their business, but they need to adjust their focus on customer satisfaction.
Case in point we have avoided this particular location because of the bad experience and have driven further to get ice cream or order a cake.

Way back in the olden days, Baskin-​Robbins was more or less the Salt & Straw of Portland. Inventive flavors, cool cone choices, friendly people at the counter … it really was a great place to go. I used to particularly love the watermelon sorbet served only in the summer and loved it well into my twenties.
Times change. I stopped getting ice cream cones anywhere while trying to watch my waistline, so my visits to Baskin-​Robbins dropped off to nothing. And of course along came all the choices we have now in so many different shops (Salt & Straw and Cloud City just to name a couple).
I stopped by this shop just because I hadn’t had ice cream in quite a long time. I ordered an old classic, pink peppermint candy, and savored it. The service was excellent (as well it should be as I was the only one in the store) and the young counterperson friendly and accommodating.
Yes, I did savor the ice cream cone, but more as an homage to the past and good memories, because I have been spoiled by the kick in the flavors at the newer ice cream shops. Yet the pause in the middle of a busy Saturday was what the doctor ordered, and I walked out the door with a smile on my face.

Go to another Baskin Robbins for any special orders or anything you see and want from the website. I ordered a Turtle Pie by phone to pick up for a birthday party. I do the same thing every year for this person, only I ordered from other stores with no problem. There is ONE picture/​description of a Turtle Pie on the website. I asked for that. My husband picked it up and brought it to the party — and it was wrong. I called to try to fix the issue and I spoke to a person who claimed she made it and has worked there for many years. In VERY broken English, she told me that the website picture isn’t the normal Turtle Pie — and that it has to be special ordered (which is what I thought I did). She said the normal Turtle Pie is just pralines and cream ice cream — made no sense to me. She did NOTHING to fix the situation. Very frustrating!

weak flavored strawberry shake that didn’t even taste that strawberry. They should be able to do much better. at least better than Mcdonalds considering they are a ice cream shop.

I’m not sure if the personality of the managers/​owners are the ones that drives me to other tasty delights somewhere.
I think they are friendly. Maybe I’m like them, I can smile on command. But I don’t have a personal relationship with them to tell them that they own a business and they need to smile in the premises of their building.
An ice cream shop is an ice cream shop. There is nothing here that stands out among other Baskin Robbin’s or any other ice cream shops.
The ice cream cake is mediocre at best.
Minus one star for not being able to sell Dry Ice. (In which they have done few years ago).
