Aloha Garbage Co Inc

Seems to be a bit behind the times on service. Often do not answer the phone. The web site doesn’t have account maintenance ability, so there’s no way to look up what you owe or update anything. No coordination of xmas tree disposal in my neighborhood, something I’ve had in every other place I’ve ever lived. The office staff is friendly, but it’s hard to get a straight answer. I am actually sneaking my composting into my mother’s can in another city just to get rid of it.

Rude, rude and very rude when they answer phone call.
Do we have any other option here?

Dumbasses! They don’t even answer their phones after calling them so many times, to enroll. Not to mention the number of messages I left.

After my best friend passing away, there was no garbage service for about 3 months. so we called to cancel the service, all the office lady was worried about was the past due balance. I explained that no garbage was being put on the curb and she had no compassion at all and was very short on the phone. its hard enough dealing with death let alone some dumb ass inconsiderate bitch worried about 68 $ for a past due amount. id love to dump a 2 liter soda on her head one day. when calling pge, and Verizon, and directv, everybody was very nice and caring for the situation that we were in. I had every intention on paying aloha garbage. phuck you aloha garbage, you are garbage.

WOW!!! I wish I could give this 0 stars. They Knocked over our recycle can with contents still inside and left. The Recycle can sprawled all over the street. The worst part is when I called after holding 20 minutes the receptionist matter of factly told me she would send a note. I told her my elderly mother couldn’t pick it up and that I had just had shoulder surgery and I needed them to come pick it back up and empty it. I told her the driver saw me and kept driving. She curtly said well he probably didn’t see it or you. No apology or assurance nothing. If this is a family owned company it is awful! Another vehicle just drove by and left it laying there.

Normally I am a big support of local «family owned» companies, but OMG… I’d take the nationwide corporate behemoth Waste Management over these guys any day of the week.
Saying they have terrible customer service is an understatement. The staff here are very rude and unhelpful. They have probably never even heard the term «good customer service,» let alone know how give it. Their job is to pick up garbage, and they act like I’m asking for the moon when I requested they actually empty my garbage can on my pickup day.
I’m not sure how many phone lines they have coming into their office, but it is wholly inadequate. If you need to call them, schedule yourself at least a couple hours to keep calling back because the line is always busy. Once their system answers, expect to wait through another few minutes of drivel from an automated system trying to convince you to not speak with a real person… like anyone will spend two hours of their life trying to talk to someone to then have an automated system convince them not to.
If/​when you get to speak to a real person, you should know up front that any problem you have is your fault. If you try to even suggest it’s their fault, they will read something incredible long off of a sheet of paper, like some foreign speaking phone support person, telling you that you did things you never did, which is why it’s your fault.
Since the government doesn’t allow any other garbage company to my house, I’m stuck with this business, but count on me to be involved in the service bid process next time it is up.

Can I do 0 stars? I HATE Aloha Garbage. I have had to have service with them for 6 years now and if I could have any other company do it I would.
They have the WORST customer service, everyone I have spoke to is rude. They are not helpful whatsoever, and I have had to call several times EVERY time I had a request that was out of the ordinary. :((like can I please have an extra pick up)
They don’t care though because they know that they are the only company we can use.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are awful! Half the time don’t pick up recycling or yard debris. I’ve not received a statement in over a year so I keep sending money. After I accidentally paid $ 250 instead of $ 25 they said it will take 30 days for a refund so I asked about my balance. Was informed I already had a $ 70 credit balance. Why not send me a statement or better yet a CHECK for the overpayment. PGE would do this. These people are crooks and idiots.

I’ll give them a 2.5. It’s a 5 star for their truck drivers and a 1 star for their office staff. I live in a very tight cul-​de-​sac and their drivers are great about getting in and out even with cars parked on the street. One day our recycling truck driver saw me loading up a bunch of cardboard into my bin after he had emptied it. He stopped and helped me load a whole other bin load into his truck. Their office can screw themselves though. My wife called to downsize our garbage can and the lady said they had shut off our service due to delinquent payment. After a whole lot of arguing on the phone I went to go to their office with all my proof of payments over the last few months. They finally called us back and said they found proof of payment. They lady was super rude and condescending. We didn’t get an apology and my wife wrote the company a big email about the incident. Never got a response. In fact of the 3 times I’ve emailed them I’ve never gotten a response. Why have an email address then?

This is what is wrong with no competition from a government awarded franchise. Agree with all the other reviews that there have zero interest in customer service. Failed to pick up our garbage on several occasions and then blamed us when we called them on it and wanted to charge a fee to come back and get it. It got so bad that I was tempted to start video taping them drive right by my trash can as proof. I feel sorry for people still living in their service area, moving is the only way out.

I have to laugh at the reviews, because they are all spot on! Rude, curt, and hate their jobs (probably because it is a family business and they all hate each other.) I had the misgiving of getting my bill through email, you know, to save a tree or two. The return address from the garbage company is ‘info@…’ It looks like spam, so I never got my bill. I have had to report them to the better business bureau at least two times. Next time I have a problem with these wackadoodles, i’ll complain to the state attorney general.

Horrible service! I am so tired of them spilling garbage all over the street, putting my can down tipped over or in the middle of my driveway or even not emptying my can all the way. They are not very accommodating over the phone and when I asked if we could pick up our new can instead of waiting a week for it to be delivered the receptionist was very curt and told us there was no way it could be done. I couldn’t get a reason why out of her.

Terrible customer service. Driver showed up a whole hour earlier than normal last week. When I heard the truck in our parking lot, I raced out in the pouring rain to meet him with my garbage can. Instead of taking 30 seconds to take my trash, he stuck his head out the window and shouted, «You’re too late!» and drove away. He saw me standing there in the rain, in my socks and pajamas, flagging him down and he didn’t care. It was extremely rude.
When I called to complain about it, the woman said that it was my fault and I should have had the can out earlier. Then she said that it would cost $ 13 to have him come back to pick it up. No thanks.
If there was another trash pickup company for my area, I would have cancelled my service with them right then.

I’ve had to call these people 3 times and 2 of those times the person was so rude! I had to call the manager to complain before and now I’m going to have to do it again.
I called first thing this morning for on-​call pickup service in the morning. I was told by a machine that they were «busy» and to leave a message, but that it could take «up to one business day» for a response. How does that help me if I need service tomorrow before they even open? I finally got a hold of «Janet» at 3:40 pm, only because I hit «0» to get somebody, and it worked. When I tried to complain to her about not getting through, etc., all she did was keep interrupting me and never apologized. When I pointed this out, she still interrupted me and said, «What do I have to apologize for?». Hmmm… Poor customer service, your company for not having the ability for someone to «hold» for assistance, your rudeness and lack/​or incapability of handling a complaint!
Just because this is the only pickup service in Aloha, doesn’t mean Customer Service can be bypassed!
