I did my undergrad at Wright State University. It wasn’t my top pick of schools at the time since I had 3 other schools I was more interested in. Plus it was a good hour from my home. So of course I lived on campus all 4 years. What disappointed me most about the university is that they advertise themselves so highly on the radio as you can hear in Columbus, but the results aren’t there. When I graduated in November 2010, Wright State completely shut off all ties with me and did not even try to offer their career services to help me land a job afterwards. I had to move back to my home city of Columbus, Ohio because my family friends were more helpful than my own school I went to. This school should have done something for me for the 4 years I dedicated to their university. Recently, I contacted my school for some pertinent information for Columbus State and my school told me I can’t have the information and I should have had a copy of it myself. I was so upset by this because I gave them this information freshman year and thought they would keep it around for a long time. Obviously records mean nothing to them. The only good thing that came out of this school were the credits I could transfer to my new school and an organization I joined to build a lasting friendship with people in Dayton. Other than that I would have been better off going to Ohio State or a community college. At least I would have gotten some help after I finished school and not been turned away as an alumni.
