I use to love ponderosa and my boyfriend still does but the last two times I’ve been here I just really haven’t been impressed. Keep in mind though I haven’t gotten the steak the past two times either. The buffet just doesn’t seem to have as many selections as it use to and the things that they do have just aren’t that impressive anymore. The salad was wilted last time too which is a major turnoff. I’m sure Travis will want to go back before too long though and next time I’m definitely getting an entrée so that I don’t starve so hopefully that’ll help boost the rating a little bit because as of right now the only things worth getting are macaroni and cheese, wings, rolls, and ice cream… that’s pretty pathetic for a buffet. Fire Mountain is right down the street and I’d much rather pay the higher prices so that I can at least enjoy my meal!

Five stars in the perspective of the family buffet/value price format. The food is very fresh, hot is hot, cold is cold, etc. The place is clean, comfortable atmosphere, the service friendly and efficient and the selection is good. Their steaks are good; I usually get the buffet. I love their baked chicken and fried wings and the rest of the buffet has good, quality family fare variety. Again, you are spending $ 9 -$ 12 for dinner and $ 6-$ 9 for lunch and the value is definitely there. I enjoy going here after work or for a casual weekend dinner out.

This is probably the most underrated steak you can find. The buffet is stocked, and full of wonderful items. The spaghetti is not to be missed. My only wish is that they served Franzia, so that date nights could be more romantic.
