I went there on Monday and it was freezing cold inside the restaurant, and the food was very cold too, when I received my cream spinach it was lukewarm and the beans were lukewarm and everything was really peppery. They need to make sure their food is hot because it was freezing in there and the food was wasn’t very inviting I would not go there again.

I love bbq! The only problem is, I wouldn’t know good bbq if it slapped me in the face. This was my first time trying old fashion bbq at a restaurant. I really enjoyed the food! For $ 13 I got 3 choices of meats and 2 sides. The wait was a bit long, but that can be attributed to everyone in line taking their time to choose their meal. I know I will be eating at Dickey’s again very soon!

Came here today and the workers(all young teenagers) shoulda all been written up. I think the manager is either young themselves or doesn’t know who they have working for them. We were the only ones in there and they were all in the back watching a video on their cell phone and then they started making gagging noises. Not pleasant while I’m trying to eat. It sounded like a girl was seriously throwing up in the back. I ended up not eating my food. Grossed me out. Well people started coming in and there was two families standing in line and no one helped them. They stood for a good at least 7 mins. One of the ladies had to scream helllooooo to finally get their attention. Just very unprofessional. A third guy came in to order and the worker musta pissed him off cuz he ended up walking out and yelling«F’n stupid» the employees will for sure run this establishment into the ground.

The food was great and fresh. The entire restaurant is really small but extremely clean! Very friendly employees and the bathrooms were extremely clean!

So my husband and I had a hankerin’ for some good ol’ American BBQ. We saw Dickey’s open up nearby and made a mental note of it. What a waste of brain cells. So today we decided to try it out and ordered the the picnic pack which comes with a lb of meat, 2 sides, 4 rolls and bbq sauce. We ordered the sliced brisket with baked beans and mac&cheese. We also ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was ready fast enough. I ordered it at 3:48. It was done at 4:03. I actually went to pick it up at 4:10. Brought it home and hubby and I were hungry and excited to try it out. First disappointment. they forgot the salad. I called them up and complained. I was to ask for Terrence should I decide to get it another time. Second disappointment… no bbq sauce. I didn’t know you were to self-serve the bbq sauce. The menu online listed the bbq sauce as a part of the order. So. I expected it to be in the order. Not far off into some corner of the restaurant I probably wouldn’t look at if I’m not eating in. All this would be forgiven if the food tasted amazing. but alas. .the most important disappointment. the food. Good lord what have we done? The meat was bland, dry, and just. chewy. Not even reminiscent of the slow cooked hours they promised. Not even house seasoning? Come on. salt and pepper guys. that’s the most basic of seasonings. even if there’s supposed to be bbq sauce lathered all over it, the meat should be, at least, basically seasoned. I was okay with the mac&cheese but my husband thought it tasted exactly like kraft. you know. the instant kind with the powdered cheese that makes kids hyperactive? We’ll just say we didn’t feed it to our son to be on the safe side. The beans, I thought were a little sweet but edible. They were at the perfect temperature and other than it being a little sweet. I thought it was fine. My husband on the other hand said they tasted just like bush beans. the ones from the can. I’m no expert on baked beans. I don’t have much experience with canned beans. My husband, on the other hand, grew up on southern food. He said his mama would’ve had a heart attack from all this food. not because it’s heavy. but because it’s just sooooo disappointing. the«buttered» rolls? I’m sure it would have done Sara Lee and all those other ready-made heavily processed bread companies proud. Good for them. All in all. we didn’t finish our food. It’s really a rare occasion where we’re sooo disappointed that we can’t even finish our meal. We seriously lost our appetites. I even called back to get a refund on that salad they forgot.

Pricey but good. I pay those kinds of prices at a sit down restaurant but not having to pay a tip is a bonus. We had brisket with Mac and cheese and okra. Just as good as any BBQ place. Wish there one closer to home in north OC.

Just tried Dickies thanks to Groupon. For 3 meals the total was around $ 43. For real bbq food this is pretty tasty and worth the price. I had the lil’hogie with 2 sides which is more than enough food for 1. Totally recommend this place! There’s a good amount of seating, but don’t come during lunch. This spot is probably a lunch hot spot.

We’ve been here three times since we moved to Beaumont. The staff are friendly. The BBQ is very good for coming from a chain restaurant, but it seems they take a little more pride in their quality than their other restaurants. I’ve been to a few of them. The chicken wasn’t dried out. My kids normally won’t eat ribs, but they devour these. I ordered an XXL tray of potato salad the other day. It was a big hit at the party I took it to.

We found out about this Chain restaurant while passing through Ogden, Utah and found this one close to our home. For a chain restaurant we thought it was pretty good. Each time we got the Daily Plate Special. You get to pick your 2 sides and its of decent size portions to fill us up, plus there is self serve ice cream cones after you’re done too ! Prompt, friendly service and clean is always nice. Review#2 We signed up for the«Big Yellow Cup Club» and now get texts and emails for specials. Getting some sort of deal is always good !

Ordering was kind of weird because you are giving your entire order to one person who is making it as you go. But it’s kind of a lot of info for one person because your adding sides to the mix. We both ordered the westerner and made one a plate which comes with two side(we got fires and beans) and we ordered our son chicken nuggets with fires. The food was delicious. I could be just craving it because I am pregnant but it was really good. Bbq sauces are great too. They even gave us a coupon for a free sandwich when we come back.

This was the first time eating their food. I got a $ 10 certificate for $ 2.50(must spend $ 20.00 min). I went and got 1lb of brisket and it was dry and the outside was kinda burnt and hard. It was more like jerky. The best parts were the fatty parts. I got a medium coleslaw and that was good. And a individual waffle fry and that was also good. Sad the meat was horrible and that’s their specialty ?? Now I’m screwed cause I have 2 more $ 10 vouchers.

We stopped in on our weekly pilgrimage to the high desert this weekend and were happily surprised! We typically stop at this center for chili dogs at Weinersnitzel but when we parked we noticed Dickey’s in the corner(Hot dogs or a place called Dickey’s, and there’s a Game Stop between them… LETTHESAUSAGEFESTJOKESBEGIN!) Back to the food, I ordered a 1 meat plate with beef brisket, waffle fries and mac and cheese. I know, so did your 3 year old who hates to eat his green beans but I’m a like that myself so read someone else’s review if you want to know about the buttery flavor of collard greens and the way the wine and the salad meet your pallet. The portions were solid and brisket was really good considering this is a chain restaurant. The meat was pre-portioned and packaged in plastic wrap and your meal is assembled much like the«SUBWAY» model with one guy chopping your meat and prepping your bread and the next guy adding toppings and someone else ringing the cash register. The meat comes without sauce and all of the sauces are provided in a warmed dispenser around the corner in the condiments area with everything other than what is on your plate. Utensils, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, mayo, 3 kinds of Dickey’s own BBQ sauce all there and ready to go! The only thing I could say negative about this place is that the layout of the place SUCKS! The entry hall/ordering/menu and decision making area/dining area/exit area is about 5 feet by 15 feet and eating here is a combination of everyone coming through checking out your food(or coughing on it) and talking and butts in your face. There are rare occasions when having butts in your face is cool, but eating at a BBQ joint is not one of them! The place looks really crowded even if there are only a few people there. If you have someone in your party that isn’t a BBQ fan there is also PANDAEXPRESS next door too, this is a great place to stop on your way out to Palm Springs, Cochella or Joshua Tree.

HEALTHCODEVIOLATION. Saw this happen yesterday jan-27−15 This brunette lady with glasses comes out from the back of the restaurant(Btw 1st time here) comes around to the F.O.H to hug some customer(whom I’m guessing is a friend) whilst still wearing her food preparation gloves full with food particles and stuff on them. She hugged him ever so carefully to not get him dirty but my question is why didnt she bother to take them off in the first place? I never did see her take them off and then goes right back to her work station! I have no idea if she even took them off or even replaced them.!? I’m sure that’s not allowed in the health regulation book. What’s worse is that she bothered to come out to do that in front of dinning customers! Why couldn’t she have had waved or yelled out a simple hello from the B.O.H? Or taken them off prior so customers wouldn’t of have seen this scene? Its called Common sense. I’m never going back here where it’s apparent that theres no strict rules on their employees in this certain restaurant. It was clear to see that they do whatever they want in there.

Glad I got to sample their wares before this chain opens in Riverside. My father and I did the man thing and ordered a two-meat and three-meat plate with choices of two sides and a roll. He got two ribs and brisket, beans and mashed potatoes. I got ribs, pulled pork and brisket with beans and mac ‘n cheese. First impression is that unlike most other places, their brisket has full smoke flavor and MIOISTURE! The ribs came easily off the bone and retained all flavor and moisture. The pulled pork is moist and left plain, which was nice because no coloring or sauces masked how properly cooked it was. As a chain, we speculated Dickey’s must smoke the meat elsewhere because there was little evidence the smallish interior could fit such a device. No matter, we both declared we would come back. Looking forward to an alternative to the two mediocre BBQ places in Riverside: Gram’s and Canyon Crest.

This place is fairly new, so of course all the locals(myself included) are going to be excited about going somewhere other than Chili’s. It totally has that southern BBQ Pit feel, and smells wonderful! The service was good, a nice group of college kids; fast and to the point. This was my first time here, but I’ve been told you can get a decent cut of meat depending on the day. But, whatever you do… stay away from the DRY Tip(see what I did there) I had the brisket salad– not bad at all. Perhaps I just wasn’t feeling it that day but I’ve definitely had better BBQ in my lifetime. The Hubs had a two meat platter, WAY over priced for the amount of meat you get. Solid menu items– Mac N Cheese(not jalapeño) Onion Strings, Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Ribs. The sweet and hot BBQ sauces are perfect when mixed. Highlight of my visit– the free, self serve ice cream cone.
