Time Change

Took my Fossil watch here because it needed one screw. The gentleman told me he had to send it somewhere else but that it would be less than $ 20. I thought that was high, but he agreed to call me if it was more than $ 20.
When I went to pick the watch up, he said the cost was $ 25. For one screw! Never called to ok the price increase.
I’m all about supporting local businesses, but I can’t support a complete rip off.

My watch has been gathering dust on my nightstand along with the Magic Fingers Motel Bed Vibrator coin box for some time now. Someone advised me to check out Time Change in Beachwood Mall for a battery replacement. I was told that Movado should be sent via mail to a licensed place and this always seemed like too much work. I took it into Time Change and they replaced the battery for around $ 15 in 15 minutes. It is working once again and I am happy.

Okay, this is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a Mall Kiosk, but talking to the owner they’ve apparently been there for 8 years so it isn’t about to up and go. From prices to selection to service Time Change was a breath of fresh air.
With an aging strap on my Baume & Mercier Hampton I’d gone to Tourneau the day before and had some dude with a crummy attitude tell me my deployant could ONLY be used on an authentic B&M strap which I’d have to order (for $ 245+ the store fee.) At Time Change, however, I was told that the info I’d received prior was absolutely false and that they could help me out «no problem.»
Browsing their selection of straps I eventually settled on a padded deep chocolate brown geniuine lizarard skin strap for $ 40. I was told it would take «about 10 minutes» so I wandered about for a bit and returned to find that the strap was just slightly too thick for the deployant — an easy fix by the talented staff.
Very happy with the purchase I approached to pay the tab — I assumed $ 40 + work fee… nope, the service was included in the price — $ 40 out-​the-​door price.
Excellent — will be back for any future strap needs.
