The Art of Shaving

I came in one day and Matt helped me out in answering all of my questions. I was looking to buy a surprise gift for my boyfriend. Matt showed me how everything worked and let me sample the supplies on the back of my hand. He was patient, kind and didn’t mind answering all of my questions. He showed me all of the kits and told me the differences between all of them. The stuff is pricey, but it’s a shop that’s tailored to luxury products and the price reflects this.

Customer service here was wonderful, and the products are nice; however, no in store shaving is offered at this location. Also, the products are *far* too overpriced… they’re good, but not worth what the store wants. They have a new manager now and she was excellent as to providing information. This is good place to get shaving products like oil, and cream and such because the scents are subtle, pleasing and not artificial.

Tired and not just a tad disgusted with paying five hard-​earned U.S. dollars for each disposable, five-​bladed, nearly-​instantly dull cartridges, I drove up to Beachwood, far, far from the wooded copse in which our cottage is nestled, for the sole purpose of leaving some of that cash money money at The Art of Shaving. Then, I stood in line (or queued up, as you will) to purchase a fine, balanced, German double-​sided (or safety, as you will) razor.
«Oh, yeah. We’re sold out.»
But.
«Father’s Day.»
But. That was… ten days ago?
«Yeah. Sold out.»
The Art of Re-​Stocking? The Art of Customer Service? The Art of Taking My Name and Calling Me When You ARE Re-​Stocked? (Please visit my review of Dan Addleman’s fabulous Imperial Shaving on the Square in Medina. Perhaps, if you know someone who professes not merely to know shaving, but to be an artist in same, you could have them visit Imperial Shaving, and then they might understand why I will only shop there, now and forever.)

I have a theory. My theory is that women don’t really enjoy shopping for undergarments that much. But when you give them a store like Victoria’s Secret they love it! Why you might ask? The experience! You see men get undergarments from Target five aisles away from where we get cereal. No real experience there, just buying underwear. Well gentleman I’ve found our Victoria’s Secret and it has nothing to do with underwear. What is this place you might ask?

The Art of Shaving!!!
We all hate to do it but its a necessary evil. That said my theory on this is if I’m going to do it, do it right and do it the best I can. This store helps me do it the best I can. You see most people handle shaving like this. 1. Go to chain store and buy cheap to middle ground razor and whatever can of shaving cream looks cool. 2. Shave 3. Wake up with razor burn and a terrible shave. The Art of Shaving will end all of this.
You see the art of shaving has mastered one thing… The Art of Shaving. They don’t promise that getting the best shave is going to be cheap or easy but one thing is for certain. You will have the best shave of your life. The Art of Shaving has their own line of products that really do enhance all aspects of the shaving experience. They follow a step process that when used gives you a shave like no other. They have a variety of products to complete this process and offer several scents (Try the Ocean Kelp or Sandalwood to really impress the woman in your life) that leave your face feeling smooth and fresh.
The salesmen are friendly and knowledgeable about their products and more than eager to give you a demonstration of how the products works. I must say this store really brings out the inner Mad Man in you and you cant help leaving feeling like you’ll be a bit more GQ at the office next week.
What keeps this store off the radar for most men… Price
The products aren’t cheap and in order to benefit from any of them you really need to buy them all. What I mean is you cant really just buy the shaving cream and expect to get the results promised. You really need to start with the pre shave oil, the shaving cream and the after shave balm in order to truly benefit from these amazing products. They will try to add additional pieces such as the shaving brush or the custom razors but in my opinion these are just add on items.
In conclusion if you want the best you have to go to the best. and when it comes to shaving at home no one does it better.

Very nice and friendly store. I dont have much to say about this place, if you are looking to spend a lot of money on shaving supplies and feel classy about it. This is the place to go. The customer care representatives are very nice and friendly.
