Balme’s Tree Service

I used Balmes to have a large ash tree removed due to borer infestation. My wife and I could not be more pleased with their work! Their price was reasonable, they were prompt in all communications and in getting the work done, and their attention to the details of doing the job and cleaning up afterward were superb. I literally could have held all debris remaining in one hand; there was scarcely any sawdust to be seen and NO leaves or twigs left lying around. Also, there was NO impact on the lawn. Aside from the tree being gone you wouldn’t have known we’d had anything done at all.
I had asked them to leave the wood so I could use it for firewood, which they agreed to do. Everything was cut into firewood sized lengths and was gathered together and not left lying around haphazardly. I originally asked for everything over 3″ to be left. Their policy is to leave only wood over 6″ for the customer, but they were willing to do the extra work to accommodate my request. I ended up not choosing to have them cut and leave the smaller pieces but they were clearly willing to work with me to meet my needs.
Stump removal (grinding) is offered but we chose not to have it done because the stump was cut so cleanly and close to the ground.
