Not really authentic Mexican food more of a Chinese food place. Burrito was gross !!! I never leave a bad review but this place was honestly WORSt! Mexican food ever.

The food here is just okay. I added an extra star for customer service. I was greeted when I walked in and the lady who took me was very sweet. The quesadilla was a little bland. The crispy taco shells were soggy and dripping. Pretty hard to eat a crumbling, soggy taco. Edible but nothing special. Maybe their burritos are better?

Above average takeout spot. The meat(chicken or steak) is fresh and seasoned well but the rice could be better. Salad and hot sauce are average and the tortillas are a little too thick. Overall, a good Tex-mex spot. You’ll be stuffed for under $ 10, what more do you want?

The owners and employees here are very hospitable and considerate folks. They installed one of those makeshift foyers on to the front door to prevent a draft of cold air. They hold the door for you if you’re carrying large packages. Kid friendly. Overall, a nice spot for a bite to eat.

Ok… so here’s the deal… I was soo skeptical about ordering from this spot since I loved Taco Palace so much, but I’m literally ordering for the 3rd time in 3 Days(CHEATWEEKEND!!)… So if you’re looking for authentic mexican food, this is NOT the spot for you. However, if you’re looking for cheap tex-mex with sizable portions and good quality food… this is YOUR surefire. I literally order the same thing everytime(cheese enchiladas), and it’s consistently on point. They have gotten my order right every time and it’s usually at my door within minutes of ordering. They also accept credit cards over the phone, which is a HUGE plus in my book. What more could you ask for?

A few other reviewers have already said it. This place is the worst excuse for Mexican food I have ever had. Ordered a few tacos and nachos which came out to nearly $ 50. Insanely pricey for what you get. The guacamole is not even guacamole. It was a brown, cold goop that I had to throw away. The cheese nachos were stale tortilla chips covered in cheap cheese. The nachos tasted of old grease and were cold. Taco Bell has better food, and I hate Taco Bell. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the disappointment. Find a real Mexican establishment. These people have no idea what they are doing. I hope they close soon and something better comes along.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! This is a small tex-mex place with a decent menu and fresh tasting ingredients. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was very clean with good lighting! Prices were affordable. I wasn’t too hungry so I just ordered a Chicken quesadilla and added the lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream all for 50 cents. The tortilla was really nice and crispy like a fresh hot pita bread! The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the other ingredients inside were mixed well. Very satisfying. My friend tried the combo beef and chicken platter as well and thought it was fine. I’d definitely come back to try their other menu options!

So this an update to my original review. I have gotten take out here several times now. My final verdict? If your craving tacos and don’t feel like taking the hike out to Roosevelt Ave, Taco Han will do in a pinch. Certainly not the place to go out of your way for tho. Their menu is a big hit or miss. Take my advice and stay away from their nachos and anything they state as «chili.» I could have done hell of a lot better job with nachos using store bought cheese and a microwave at home. Their ground beef aka chili tacos are absolutely horrible. They are always cold and soggy. Their guacamole leaves much to be desired also. The foods I have seen consistency are the steak quesadillas, steak and or chicken tacos and burritos. I have also tried the fish tacos and it’s usually pretty good. Now, it’s not the freshest tacos or burritos I have had but it usually satisfies the craving without going too much out of the way. To conclude, I wish I could rate this establishment as hit but it’s just mediocre at best. Sigh, Bayside really needs some better Mexican food places. Better yet, I will take taco trucks/carts like on Roosevelt Ave..

Ok place for night food. I bought a burrito from this place around 1130pm. Chipotle food tastes better, but Chipotle are not open past 10pm. Good thing this place is open during late night hours.

OMG!!! Where do I begin? No offense but I should’ve known just by the name! I should’ve cancelled the order when I placed it. Abysmal! I must’ve repeated my credit card number at least 7 times and the person on the other side kept repeating it and saying blah blah blah 0003. It was 03! After this exercise in futility 6 times, I finally asked her why SHEKEPTADDINGANEXTRA0ATTHEEND? NOWHOLDONTOYOURSEATSFORTHEANSWER: «BECAUSECARDSCOMEINGROUPSOF4NUMBERS.» I said but this is an American Express! What followed was silly laughter and the answer: «oh I thought it was a Visa or MasterCard!» To which I responded: «And you arbitrarily decided to add a zero?» she did not know the meaning of the word. I said it could’ve been any other number! So finally after we get that phase done, she gives me the total and says it’s $ 93! For 3 burritos, nachos and yellow rice with beans??? Silly laughter again! «Oh yes,» she said. «It’s $ 36.» I should’ve cancelled right then and there, but it’s a new business in the hood and I wanted to give them a fair shot. BIGGGGMISTAKE!!! TOOBAD I CAN’T GIVENEGATIVESTARS! Next, I gave my address and stated the apartment number clearly! 4 A as in apple. Time goes by and I get a phone call. What’s my apartment the voice says? 4A [I’m screaming] he is standing at the lobby door. Tells me what bell to ring, I almost passed out! 4AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I said! There is a number formula next to each apt 4A is 401, dial 401. finally he’s at the door and delivers food. Now starts the food review: Worst Mexican food or any food I’ve ever had! HORRIBLE! No taste, burritos were not even closed! just a blob wrapped in foil. Nachos were dry and disgusting. The guacamole was unrecognizable! It wasn’t GREEN! I threw it out!!! Money down the drain. then I called back and asked to speak to manager and couldn’t because he didn’t speak English! WHAT!!!#$@^& DON’T EVERGOHERE! RUN! DISGUSTING! Good food. Friendly owner. Pleasant cashier attendant. I recommend the Grilled Steak Combination, & ask for 1 – 2 extra tortillas(they give only 2). Delicious!

I use to get the chicken and steak combo but I’ve found their steak tend to be dry and burnt on the edges. Now I just get their grilled chicken combo. The chicken is seasoned well and tender… the tortilla is always piping hot, tender and delicious. The rice, refried beans are all very acceptable and the salad is crisp and fresh. The big thumb down is their quac. Stay far away from it. it’s diluted with some type of liquid and barely has any avocado taste. it’s bad. I usualy just dump it into the salsa(which is also bad). I’m hoping to develop a friendly relationship with the counter lady soon so i can have a heart to heart with her and get the guac situation rectified. Other than this, the food is good.

Clean place, a few sit down tables. I went with my parents and daughter on a Sunday late afternoon. Very nice lady working the counter. She was helpful, but never asked our party if or how we liked everything, so i didn’t bother telling her that the guacamole was one of the very worst I’ve ever had, anywhere. Granted, you get what you pay for, and for 3 adults and one child, the check(with tax) came to $ 30. I almost gave this place 2 stars, mainly because the guacamole is so damned important to me, and it’s not that it wasn’t very good, it’s that it was BAD. I felt badly wasting it, but i shouldn’t have. It was a sad waste of avocado. From my photo, you can clearly see its resemblance to vomit with bile. We tried a ground beef quesadilla, which was quite salty, and therefore my step-mom thought it was«tasty». Having been married to a mexican lady for over 10 years, i can tell you it was more of an Asian-styled quesadilla, nothing you’d expect from a mexican restaurant. My chicken & steak fajita was just ok. Good mexican rice. The whole fajita together was decent for take out food, but would have been a big zero of served at a real sit-down restaurant. The ckn & beef were pretty much dried out. My father said that his coca cola was quite good. Should have been, as it was canned. No, I’ll never go back there. I’m glad to see they recycle bottles & cans though. Oh, and btw, i was starving when I got there, so you can only imagine that my review would have been worse had I not actually been hungry.

One of the worst Food experience I ever had. My wife and I stop their doing Lunch. We both love Mexican Food and we looked forward too taste the food their. It wasn’t busy which properly never a good sign. A big grand opening sign was at the door. We decided to try the food. We ordered Guacamole for appetizer, quesadilla and nachos. The guacamole was disgusting and we had to bring it back. The color was already brown and you can see the chef didn’t make it fresh. The cashier gave us the money back, didn’t seem like was the first time. The main course was horrible as Taste less. This place didn’t even has plates or something like this. Please don’t waste you Time and Money at this Place. So much better place out their

Ever since taco palace close I can’t really find a great tex mex place! I wanted to give Taco Hut a break so I read these reviews and thought ok seems good… WRONG! For starters the Guacamole is terrible. It looked discolored and tasted like it was mixed with water and like it was days old. I ordered a steak and chicken combo, my steak was def not cooked all the way it was pink in the middle and not a pale pink like super pink. The flour tortillas that come on the side were warm but not soft they tasted stale. The food just was not fresh. I gave it a try but never again, not a good experience.

2 reviews? 3 stars? These guys are great, it’s a family owned shop and they are great! We walked by late night as they had been ready to close… They still took our order, and everything was fresh and on point! Will 1000% come again and again!

This is a recently renovated Mexican fast food restaurant with new ownership. The food quality seems fairly good and price is on the affordable side. Nothing fancy there, just convenient place to enjoy a quick lunch.

This is the«new» place that opened to replace the fairly popular cheap eats establishment Taco Palace that suddenly closed without warning. It has all the familiar trappings of Taco Palace. Asian looking people running a fairly low priced Tex-Mex place. Most of the menu items makes a reappearance from Chili tacos down to the«Fajitas by the Pound» though the enchiladas from Taco Palace are gone. New entries make a visit including«BBQ Satay», «Mexican Pizza», and«Tostada Salad». The interesting phrase from Taco Palace’s old take out menu claiming Mexican food to be the No.1 rated ethnic food and a lack of MSG returns on Taco Han’s menu. However, if you came expecting the same value eats of Taco Palace you’ll be sorely disappointed. Maybe Taco Han is still finding it’s legs having recently opened. I hope not since it seems to claim«Since 1991» even though I can’t seem to find any other Taco Hans. The Mexican rice that comes with their special combo dishes are surprisingly undercooked so that the rice is actually crunchy and altogether unpleasant. The chicken is dry and unseasoned. The grilled steak is inconsistent. In a burrito the steak is flavorful and tastes grilled but in the combo it’s dry and overcooked. It can’t be due to being busy. Only one other customer was there and he was just sitting on a laptop drinking a Snapple with no food. Maybe that was a hint.
