Best place to grab a bite to eat for brunch or lunch or dinner or late night snack. Their staff is friendly and helpful and there’s a little bar in the front which is pretty cool. This place is usually always packed when I go but the wait for seating is never long. I always order the steak and avocado sandwich with their fries. The garlic sauce for the fries is a game changer. If you wanna order for take out I’d recommend changing your sandwich to a wrap so the bread doesn’t get soggy.

I have eaten at press 195 multiple times and i must say the food is delicious. However, today we ordered our food(4 of us) and the service was just unacceptable. We have now been waiting for 45minutes for 4 sandwiches and fries. When i asked the waitress what happened to our food, she explained«well, you ordered gluten-free bread». I replied, «well, do you guys make bread from scratch??» She sighed and walked away. I asked to speak with the manager about the service we received and he had no answer. The only reason i gave his place two stars insted of one is because of the food. The food is really good but don’t expect a half a brain for a waiter/waitress or manager and you will be fine!

This is the only place I get panini’s from. There is no other place you should go to for that if you live in the area. I don’t often crave panini’s but when I do this is where i’ll be. Nice little bar at the entrance, and still very spacious towards the back to feel comfortable. My girlfriend loves this place as well and she doesn’t even like bread. You could imagine how good it actually is, let’s talk about the fries for a moment. They feel less fatning and definitely restaurant made other than being frozen.

Came here for lunch with a friend of mine today. I had #42(Grilled lemon chicken, Fontina cheese, baby spinach, tomato olive bruschetta, and Press 195’s famous pure maple syrup basil pesto. It was delicious. Highly recommend this place if you’re on Bell Blvd and want something different and fresh. Beer selection is excellent too and the service was great!

This is my favorite restaurant in Queens, I’m not sure HOW I haven’t reviewed it yet. I’ve been here several times, and although they are great year round, I love going to this restaurant particularly during the summer because of their little outdoor patio in the back. Their restaurant is pretty small so I recommend only planning a small group dinner here or you may be waiting awhile; I usually go with no more than 6 people. They have a great menu selection of paninis, sandwiches, knishes, and you can’t forget the belgian fries! My favorites are the meatball knish and the prosciutto panini sandwich(depending on how hungry I am — the knishes are kinda small so I usually get the fries with it, whereas the sandwich is filling enough so it doesn’t necessarily need a side). The brownie sundae for dessert is OUTOFTHISWORLD– a must! Huge frken brownie! I always get the red or white sangria here, and my fiancé loves beer so he loves how they rotate their beer menu often. Can’t wait to go back!

I just absolutely love press. As a server myself I respect the waiters and waitresses because they are always busy but always on point. All of the food is TODIEFOR. The drinks are decent I would recommend the red sangria… Oh, and the avocado chicken salad too. I could drink that dressing as my main beverage. So delicious!

One of my really good friends brought me here and the food was great. Sangria was perfect too, it was a nice Sunday and we sat outside.

An awesome gem in Bayside for a yummy and filling lunch or dinner. They have so many different panini/wrap options, so it’s impossible to find something that doesn’t suit your taste. The only con is that I believe they raised their prices recently. My friend and I split the belgian fries and each had a panini and a beer for lunch the other day, that set us back $ 25 – 27 each, which is pretty hefty for casual meal in Queens. I had a great lunch, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so costly, especially because I came during happy hour and the beer was discounted.

Oh my god. If I could eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be the one. Press has so many options from starters to desserts that you’ll never want to order the same thing twice. The star is the Belgian fries. Share them with your group of friends !(Or don’t…you can eat it all to yourself, that’s perfectly fine too) you must add chipotle mayo and sweet onion ranch. I got the #49 which is a chicken cutlet sandwich with pineapple, Canadian bacon, onions, Monterey Jack cheese, and chipotle mayo all pressed together to form this amazing sand which. Surprisingly the pineapple balances everything together with the bacon and the chipotle sauce. Service was quick and friendly too so that’s a plus. You have to come here immediately ! I know I will soon be a regular at that place.

Being that my last review was in 2012, I felt it necessary to write an update! Press is still one of my number one places to order from or dine in. I hadn’t been there in a while so my Hubs and I decided to go before a night out on Bell. Even though it was a Friday night around 8pm we were seated right away. It helps that the outdoor area is now open so there was additional seating there. I had a white sangria, my favorite :) We of course got the Belgium fries with the garlic aioli, a must when you dine in or order out. I also tried a newer sandwich which had grilled chicken, fresh mozz and a roasted pepper spread which was very good. So many places tend to start to decline in their service and quality the longer they remain open but I am happy to say they have not missed a beat. Each new menu item they add keeps with the quality of their past menu and it seems they are trying to mix it up to add some new items to keep with current trends. A must try if you’re in the area!

These hand cut Belgian fries made me miss pomme frites in the city, they taste really really good and have some decent sauces to choose from-albeit not as much as pommes frites. 4.5÷5! The fried shrimp po’boy was surprisingly really good, the bread it came in was fresh and held up really well, the shrimp-although not many, were fried and sauced well, could add a little extra sauce though since the bread was so hearty. 4⁄5

The ciabatta bread is unreal, I had the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomato and grilled chicken sandwich. It was amaze balls, even without any of their yummy sauces. I noticed the sweet onion ranch I failed to try! I usually get the children’s grilled cheese because it comes with sliced apples and potato chips, which I dip in the roasted garlic sauce. Reasons why I love press, other than the great food: — Changing variety of craft beers and ciders, I’m always trying something new! — TVs at the bar are always playing sports — Waiters are always efficient and polite. — Backyard seating area for nice summer nights. — Proximity to other bars. Additional comments: Parking can be really difficult in this area if you drive, sometimes it takes 15+ minutes. But it it’s down the block from the LIRR. I always call for a wait time, it can get really busy during peak hours to get seated.

This is an inviting spot to enjoy hot sandwiches in a lively place. During the several times I’ve been here, the wait has never been that long(15 minutes at most), and I’ve found the servers to be very efficient and mindful of me and whoever I’m eating with at the time. Food-wise, the sandwiches are delicious and filling, but I wish they weren’t filled with so much cheese, which can feel heavy on my stomach depending on which sandwich I get. The last time I was at Press, I ate a prosciutto-basil-mozzarella cheese sandwich, which was light on my stomach and had a subtle yet delicious flavor. As I mentioned before, the ambiance here is lively and energetic, and this place is packed especially during weeknights and weekends. I wish that the tables weren’t so close together, because my eating companion and I could overhear what the folks at the tables next to us were saying, and we couldn’t freely talk either since we were sitting so close to other customers. Press 195 isn’t a place I’d go to frequently since its food is on the heavier side, but for the occasional hearty, warm meal, this is the spot.

I had decided to try this place due to Unilocal reviews. The place was much smaller than I thought it would be. Wifey and I went on a Monday night. The place was packed with people. I can’t imagine how packed it is on a Friday or Saturday night. It took us a while to order from the menu since it had such good choices. We had figured it’s best to call in the order and pick it up. When we got there, we were told to wait at the bar for the bartender to get our food. It’s hard to reach over to pick up your order as well as to sign the receipt since the bar area was so packed. The last thing I wanted was to accidentally elbow someone who is sitting there drunk. then cause a fight. If that were the case, I would have to post not only the attached pictures of the food, but also black eyes haha. I had the Bell BBQ Classic sandwich which was pretty good. You can definitely taste the fresh cilantro and avocado. My wifey had the grilled zucchini, yellow squash and red pepper with fresh spinach and roasted garlic spread. She really enjoyed her sandwich. I had ordered the Belgian fries with both roasted garlic sauce(it wasn’t that good) and pineapple sesame sriracha sauce(this one had promise… it has a unique flavor to it. much better than the roasted garlic sauce!). The fries were cold. Even though we had picked up the food about 25 minutes after we placed the call… the fries tasted as if they were out for hours. not good at all. Parking was tough by the way. Some of the side streets didn’t have enough space for cars coming from different directions. So be careful if you drive there. I will still give this restaurant 4 stars since I have to dine in one day and taste the fries that a good number of Unilocal reviewers have posted and loved… instead of ordering take out.

I popped up in here yesterday to get some lunch with my girl, and she’s been raving about this spot. We came in and although there was nobody to seat us, we just grabbed a seat anyway. Soon after we were greeted by a waiter and given some menus. He didn’t speak much just gave us our menus and left. He checked on us maybe 10 minutes later but my girlfriend still hadn’t made up her mind; the menu is pretty extensive. A few minutes later we’re ready to order but there’s no waiter in sight. Another 10 minutes or so went by and a different waiter comes up to us and we submit our order to her. She was more courteous. I opted out for the #44 and some belgian fries. Fast forward 20 minutes and our food is at our table. The fries were delicious but the sandwich wasn’t anything to call home about. It was way too crunchy, and the chicken was tender in some places and hard as a rock in other. At the end of the day, I couldn’t justify coming back on just the fries alone. I won’t be coming back here; moreover, for the same price-point I’ve had better.

My fiends introduced me to this place and swears it’s the best sandwich shop is bayside ANDITWASSOTRUE! There was a wait when we got there but we also went around dinner time so that was understandable. The hostess advised 20⁄25 min but it was def shorter than that which was great. The food is so good! You won’t be disappointed. There’s a huge variety of sandwiches to choose from. I had a steak salad with a creamy cilantro based dressing. So very delish!!! The fries were also very good. The staff is friendly and they seem to know the menu rather well which is nice when you go for the first time. The only thing I didn’t like was the space. It was rather small. There’s no place really to stand if you’re waiting to be seated. You kind of just wait outside or else you’ll be on top of each other. Also parking is hard to find but that’s just queens. There is always… and I mean always when I say always, a line for this place. It’s just the matter of how long the line actually is. If it’s 20 minutes or under, I suggest you try this place out. The service here is top-notch. Our waitress last night was extremely understanding and accommodating. Belgian Fries — They are your average fries that you can find in any burger joint. The sauce tho… the SAUCE though… was on point. You can pay 75 cents for 1 flavor, or you can get a slick deal(kinda, not really) and pay $ 2 for 3 different flavors. As a group of Asians, we opted for the $ 2 for 3(surprise!) This section is dedicated to the sauces: Chipotle Mayo — Tangy flavor, nothing too amazing but can be EASILY remedied IF they add a bit of cayenne pepper to give it a kick. Roasted Garlic — Tasted like garlic… you either love it or you don’t. Pineapple Sesame Sirarcha — Sweet and spicy, with a bit of fruity goodness. Fan fave amongst my friends. Paninis: There are lots of options and I hate that because I’m indecisive as hell, but that means there is something on the menu for everyone. After reading a few Unilocal reviews, I ordered #38(panini with steak/avocados/sweet onion jam) and I enjoyed every bite of it. My friend ordered a #47(chicken panini) and he said the chicken was a bit dry. Ha, jokes on him cuz he didn’t read Unilocal. Sangrias: Ordered the white sangria and found it a bit underwhelming. It was a bit too sugary and a bit WEAK to be honest but the ladies loved it. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re ever around the neighborhood.

This is my go to sandwich and fries places in queens. They have a great selection of beer and matching paninis. What you MUST get are the Belgium fries. This is not up for debate. You should and will get the fries. It comes in a basket that can easily be split between two people. You should also try their sauces. Whenever I go with another friend, we usually get two baskets and order almost all the sauces. The specialty sauces of note are the: chipotle mayo, roasted pepper, honey jalapeño mustard(My favorite), roasted garlic(Close Second), and pineapple sesame sriracha sauce. The ambiance of the restaurant is very laid back with a beautiful outdoor patio spot in the back. Their beer and sangria selection will never leave you thirsty for more. Perfect for summertime lunch spot. Off of the hot press the notable ones are: #19 Roast Beef: A simple but delicious sandwich. Classic and unbreakable. #37 Homemade Meatloaf: A perfect pick of you’re looking for comfort food. #41 Homemade Slightly Spicy Meatballs: The panini version of a meatball sub, a must try for meatball lovers. The Basil in the sauce adds a nice refreshing flavor #46 Momma Karps: A great new addition to their menu. It’s really savory and balances well between the salty and sweet aspects of the sandwich. #25 Thinly Sliced Breaded Eggplant: Nice vegetarian option and delicious with their marinara sauce. I’ve also had the Steak Knish, which was delicious but in a different vein from the panini. I do kinda wish that the marinated steaks were a bit more tender.

LOVE their sandwiches! The first thing you notice about their menu is how extensive it is. Everything sounds so good that it makes it hard for one to even decide what to order. Their Belgian fries are a must try, you get to choose sauces to go with them. I really like the chipotle mayo. Last time I came, I decided to try one of their burgers just to see how it was since I always order paninis. And man, was that a good burger. I was impressed! It was cooked just the way I liked and it came with fries so I didn’t have to spend extra on that, which is a plus. Their white sangria is really good too! Service is great and outdoor seating is available during warmer weather. They do have a lot of trees in the back so leaves might start falling all over your food because that’s what happened to me but it’s still a nice outdoor space. Will definitely come back for their other items on the menu! They’re always adding new things to it too so that’s another good reason to come back.

4.5 Stars to be exact! The perfect lunch spot for two on a cool Saturday afternoon! Menu offers a large variety of fresh pressed ciabatta bread with different ingredient combinations spelled out. They are either made Cold Pressed or Hot Pressed which includes Meat, Poultry, and Veggie. #47 — Cilantro-Lime Marinated Chicken with Fontina Cheese, Pan-fried Sweet Peppers & Mushrooms, Spinach, and Pineapple Sesame Sriracha Sauce — yeah I know, long name! A very well put together sandwich! Presentation was very cute. The sandwich was cut in half and put together shaped like a heart. It comes with a small side of half sour pickles. I was very blown away by how well the flavors come together. Chicken breast was juicy and huge! It was very well marinated and seasoned with herbs that I see hints of. Together with the fresh hand rolled ciabatta bread, it was incredibly delicious. Pineapple sesame sriracha sauce has just a teeny bit of spicy and sweet — don’t be afraid to try my non-spicy lovers, it is really not spicy! Belgian Fries are good. They are golden brown, long, and sprinkled with sea salt. It was meant to go well with the sauces they offer. I am not much of a sauce person but even plain sea salt fries were good enough! Admittedly, sandwiches are usually not my first choice for food because I personally don’t like getting my hands dirty but this was worth it!
