This place used to have amazing food, but it’s really gone downhill over the past 3 – 4 years and become a trendy kinda bar with bad service & crappy food. Honestly, there are so many great restaurants on Bell why waste your money? Unless you specifically feel like Cajun/Creole, I’d keep it moving.

I wasn’t happy with this establishment. The bartender was rude and didn’t acknowledge me until on of her regulars got her attention. I ordered a Guinness with a Jameson neat and got a Coors light with Jameson on the rocks.

I love this place! A mix of various age range, music is great and an awesome place for some sports. Their specialty drinks are amazing too! Delicious jambalaya also! They have Purple Haze beer which is part of the Abita family Brewed in Louisiana. Neighborhood is great too! Bayside is the new Williamsburg

Great brunch spot in the area. They have a brunch pre fixe for $ 18.95 which includes an alcoholic drink, muffin/bread basket, fruit cup, entrée, coffee/tea and coffee cake. Such a great deal! We left completely stuffed and satisfied. They do not skimp on portions either.

Bourbon Street. One of the most popular places on Bell Blvd. that I have finally went to after hanging out on Bell Blvd since I was a teenager. On a diet — so maybe you should take this review with a grain of salt. Had the mussels appetizer — it was… really just«meh». Ok… nothing special, definitely wouldn’t get it again, and definitely too pricey for what you get. Had the skirt steak — presentation was very nice. Asked for medium-rare, and it came perfectly… rare. It was ok. But for the price? $ 28, it was just too pricey for what it was. Opted for the veggies — green beans & cauliflower, little too bland for my taste. Considering they do a lot of cajun type of stuff, I figured stuff would be a little more flavorful off the grill and sides. Overall, for my experience whilst dieting — I give it 3 stars. I’ll surely come back to try some of their Cajun-style fare — I guess that’s what they’re known for.

Their rooftop lounge is a great. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Showed up on a busy Saturday evening with a large group(12+ ppl) without any reservations. we waited by the bar while a table big enough opened up. bartender was quick. we were seated before finishing our first drink.

I had been to the Manhattan location several years ago, and enjoyed it. My first visit to this location was in the summer, a scheduled visit by bicycle(from Manhattan) with the Rooftop Explorers to see their new rooftop bar. They knew we were coming, as well as the approximate arrival time, and that we were publicizing the event. Despite having been assured of access, when we got there, we were informed that the roof had been rented for a wedding party. The owner or manager bought us all a round of drinks and appetizers, which were ranged from fair to good. We briefly visited the roof when it became available several hours later. Very nice roof. Last Saturday, I made a dinner date with a friend for Bayside. I thought it would be a good opportunity to revisit Bourbon Street. Things started off with a clueless waitress. Nice personality, but a rather dim bulb, completely inattentive, asking things multiple times. Not once asking us if we needed anything.(After the removed all the silverware after the salads, she failed to replace them. When we asked for new forks, she looked at us like we were from Mars.) My friend needed to use the restroom. The staff were confused as to which of their two sets of bathrooms was out of order. Apparently, they both were, as the toilet wouldn’t flush when I used it later. My friend ordered a fish dish, which came with a potato dish, but she told the waitress she didn’t eat potatoes and asked if a substitute were possible. «Well I could give you French fries…» Which part of «I don’t eat potatoes» didn’t she understand? Wow. I ordered a blackened shrimp appetizer and a Caesar salad with grilled salmon. The shrimps were quite good, so I thought this could turn out to be a good meal. Finally, an hour later — by which time I had thought our meal was forgotten and I was full on the bread — our meals came. She did not like her fish, but ate it. It was accompanied by mussels — or I should say mussel shells with dried-out pea-sized things inside them made out of rubber.(I tried one. Feh.) I was at first impressed by the portion size of the add-on salmon, until I tried it. It was white salmon — in other words, like that«pink salmon» you buy at the supermarket that you buy because you don’t want to spend the money on red salmon. It was dry, rubbery and tasteless. After a few bites, I was annoyed. I called over the waitress and told her this was inedible and I am not paying for it. She brought over the manager or owner — I believe the same woman who tended to my group in the summer«What exactly is wrong with it?» She sounded as if she doubted it. My friend said hers sucked also. She said she would take off the entrée for both of us. My friend refused, saying she had eaten it. While I was in the bathroom, apparently my friend told the manager that she was really astounded at both the poor food and the very low level of service, etc. When I came out, the manager comped my friend’s bill completely. I paid only for the appetizer and my beer. Later, my stomach was in terrible shape. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I got food poisoning, but let’s just say it was«something I ate.» That was my last visit to Bourbon Street, except perhaps for drinks on the roof next summer. There are too many good restaurants along Bell Boulevard to spend my money here. I nearly gave it one stars, but because it’s quite not the worst, and I’m feeling generous, I’ll give two.

Went here for drinks which were way over priced for the Northside of Queens. Prices are equivalent to Westside Manhattan. Anyway it was nice that we were able to sit outside on the rooftop in December. The rooftop was heated nice! The have special areas you can reserve for special Occasions. Just my luck a baby shower was going on and children were running all over. Parking is available in municipal parking areas. The wings were decent. I would go back during happy hour only! Leave the kids at home!

Great locale, great space and decent décor but falls a little short on the power from the drinks and the food is mediocre. Crazy enough I would return. The vibe was cool, where the 20 somethings might grab a drink and watch a sports game in Bayside. There’s a lot of competition on Bell Street with new bars opening up so Bourbon Street might need to amp it up a notch. There is valet parking and they host private parties. Your bill adds up quickly here, pretty much Manhattan prices for Bayside drinks. Consider all your options on Bell Street but Bourbon Street is worth a shot.

The place is not that bad. It’s a fun atmosphere and it’s rather busy, I have the jambalaya and it had a white meat chicken which was a nice surprise. Bartenders were a tad aloof on serving us. Not the greatest place but not the worst not a place where you’d want to make it a destination but if you stumble into it it’s good

Sigh. Much disappointment. Been coming to this place for several years already. Previous rating was 4 stars, but since finally visiting the place after they renovated I had to lower to 2 stars. Came here on a saturday around 7:40pm with no reservation and was told the wait would be 45 minutes. Didn’t mind waiting, except I was seated at a table that has been empty ever since I arrived. There were clearly 4 empty tables. One of which I was seated at, but I saw other parties wait 20 minutes and they were seated at these already empty tables. Not sure if it’s to create a crowd in the front to make the place look popular… but that irked me a bit. The staff at the front asked me if I wanted to wait at the bar and have a drink while I wait, seemed like it was scripted because she would say the same thing over and over again to other arriving customers. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that it isn’t appropriate to ask a person with a party that includes children to go to a bar. After being seated and ordering food, it took 30 minutes for the appetizer(buffalo wings) to arrive. The buffalo wings were extremely dry and saltier than usual, 3 wings were coated in sauce. It took 45 minutes for a salad to arrive. And over an hour for our entrees to arrive.(Turns out our food was actually ready but our waiter didn’t serve us the food until we asked him… by the way when we asked him about it he basically walked by us just saying«yeah I know») I would usually order a steak sandwich, so I noticed the onions aren’t as caramelized and there were less steak pieces. The sweet potato fries were crisp so that was a highlight. Overall, disappointed with this experience because I spent approximately over 2.5 hours for mediocre food. At least the bread basket was okay, the pecan butter was less spreadable from what I’ve had in the past. Basically filled up on the bread and water because the food took a while. Maybe next time my experience will be different and I’ll update my review.

Came here on a Saturday with 3 others. Made reservations for 9PM. It was PACKED and took 20 minutes to be seated. Another 15 minutes to place our order. We recieved our complimentary bread basket and I noticed that they no longer included their walnut butter, instead you get the generic stuff. I picked out a biscuit and it had pan paint chippings on the bottom… I would advise you view your food to make sure(especially in the dim lighting) that it’s safe lol We got our food around 10PM. I noticed that our entire dining section had 1 waitress and a few bus boys. Now for the food, we ordered: — Bayou mussels: had a bit of sand, only okay — Crab cakes: really salty, again only okay — Cajun pasta: probably the best thing food wise ordered at our table — Jambalaya: ordered this after reading the positive reviews on it but we didn’t like it that much and probably wouldn’t order it again — For desert we were originally going to order the bananas foster but the waitress let us know it would be a 20 minute wait so we got the sundae instead. It was massive, think Dallas BBQ frozen margaritas cups. Big enough for 4 people to share and was your basic run of the mill sundae. The center in some of the scoops were old. I had a groupon for this place $ 40 for $ 80. If not for the groupon I definitely would not come here. I wouldn’t pay $ 100+ for mediocre food and service.

Went here for brunch with a good friend of mine. We have been scouting new potential brunch spots, and this one did not fail to impress! The environment is dim and gives off a slight«Louisiana Influenced» feel, with Mardi Gras beads greeting you at any table you’d happen to sit in. Our brunch came with an assortment of muffins and bagels, mixed fruit, an option of either a Mimosa, Screwdriver, or… there’s one more, but I’ll be honest and say I forgot haha. Brunch will run you anywhere from $ 17-$ 20 dollars. I chose the Bourbon street style eggs Benedict — which was fantastic. It came with home fries, eggs Benedict on an English muffin, and sausage — with a Jalapeño hollandaise sauce to top it off. The home fries were a great blend of spices, while the eggs and English muffin complimented the dish all the while. The sausage however, simply phenomenal, it’s strong, flavorful taste caught me by surprise — and left me wanting more with each bite. The jalapeño hollandaise sauce packed both flavor and spice, and topped off the dish quite nicely! This is a first timer for me, so this review is subject to change, but they have definitely left a great first impression on me. Highly recommended!

What a nice gem for Queens! We did the prefix dinner and Tuesday night’s special, lobster and steak. Boy was the food delicious and massive amounts. Talk about southern hospitality! May have found our new favorite restaurant in Queens now. In a quiet Queens town of Bayside.

Bourbon Street was a total miss. I wasted time and money dining at this establishment for an experience that never came. Something was off about the place the moment I sat down. Could it be the environment? The poor décor? The low lighting that caused me to strain my already poor eyesight to see? Or perhaps it was the plethora of waitstaff that came to our table to pick up this, drop of that, bring a menu, and what have you. I’m not with the hustle and bustle. I was quite disturbed. I played it safe and went with the Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with Truffle Parmesan Fries. The Po Boy had too much breading. The chipotle sauce & the bread itself were good. The Truffle Parmesan Fries were over seasoned. They didn’t appear to be Truffle fries so I called our waitress over to clarify. She proceeds to point her index finger so closely to my food to show me that indeed that’s what I ordered. Shredded cheese thrown on top of fries does not equate what I ordered. I was not pleased with the bread basket, the theme nor the way I was handled by the manager. If the food is unsatisfactory there’s no reason to debate me on it. Her goal should’ve been rectifying the situation & making me forget about the mishap.

They could have named this place Bell Blvd. There was nothing Bourbon Street New Orleans about it except the Mardi Gras beads. For a Friday night, the place was packed with senior citizens. The bar area was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. We were seated on the right side, separated from the bar by a wooden divider. Which I later learned may not have been wood because the jerk at the bar stool table kept pushing himself into it and knocking into our table. The ambiance was dark, dull and drab. No true essence of New orleans! No music. Where was the music!!! Even Popeyes chicken has New Orleans music! About 4 different wait staff members were serving us. The main waitress was nice but… strange. A carafe of water was brought to our table with a very odd bread basket. Dry corn bread, crackers and rolls. Not impressive. The Pecan butter spread was the best thing they had to offer. We ordered Hurricanes. Rum mixed with juice. Very strong and delicious. I had a hard time deciding what would be safe to order. The waitress said«You only live once! This is bourbon street! Have the bayou pasta.» I ordered the bayou pasta. Green peppers, red peppers, chicken, craw fish and Andouille sausage(or Chorizo). I had a hard time finding the crawfish in my pasta. The waitress had to use a fork to point it out to me. Barely any. The dish tasted like Cajun style Rasta pasta. It was well seasoned and spicy. Very good. My friend ordered a shrimp PO Boy. Not good. I praise God I didn’t order it. Shrimp was overly breaded. Just… DULL. It came with«parmesan truffle fries». A disaster. Tasted like day old fries. Overcooked… and. Terrible. I finished my hurricane and paid. The End. Come for the Hurricane.

I came here to celebrate my dads birthday with a groupon brunch. At each setting was a bead necklace. It was a nice touch. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered steaks, omelettes, and a burger with mimosas, screwdrivers, & coffee. Also got egg Benedict, potatoes, coffee cakes, fruit cups, and muffins. What a great deal this is. We were all fully stuffed and very happy. The steak was medium rare, cooked nicely, but not much seasoning. Had to use steak sauce and pepper it up myself. The steak came with sausage and bacon. This is definitely the neighborhood brunch spot to go to! Service charge is already included, 18% for 6 or more

Bourbon Street was our last stop on Saturday night’s bar hopping adventure! And boy. are we glad we chose this spot! As soon as we entered. around midnight-ish, we were greeted by a warm host, and we explained that we would like to sit in the dining area, as one of us would like to order food and the rest of us would also like to order drinks from the bar. We had a group of 5 and the host and another waiter, was nice enough to quickly clear out a large round table and have us seated. Once we were all seated, our server, Diana came over. She was fcuking AMAZING! Her service was STELLAR and her cheerful attitude really made our stay feel special! My friend was looking over the food menu and me. being the fat panda that I am. Decided, what the hell. Why not. I’ll eat too! They have a fairly large menu with many interesting items. But what caught my eye. was their PULLEDPORKMAC N CHEESE! :-) So I had that, and I also ordered a mussels appetizer and I had checked into Unilocal,so they had a deal, which was order an entrée and get 50% off an App or dessert. The thing that Diana did for us, was that my Mac n Cheese was considered a side order and not an entrée, but she went ahead and honored the deal anyways, which was very cool! We also had an order of cheese fries w/bacon bits. Our food came shortly afterwards, and I was surprised. that this wasn’t typical bar food and actually tasted very good! LOLL The Mac n Cheese that I had was creamy and delicious! Pulled Pork had lots of good smoky flavor! The mussels were clean and very tasty and the broth that it came with, had a slight kick to it, and was very yummy. The bread that it came with, paired well with the spicy broth. Cheese fries were very good! My friends and I demolished the whole plate in short order. My friends drank; I didn’t, as I was the driver. lol After about an hour n half, we were full and drunk and about ready to leave. Check came out to only $ 65-ish for the 5 of us, and because her service was so superb, we left Diana a 35% tip. which was well deserved. She deff made our stay quite comfortable and enjoyable. She also mentioned to us, to come back on a Tuesday night, when ladies drink for FREE! loll
