A great low-key place on Bell to chill out, have some drinks and pretty good food. Came here over the weekend and got the fish bowl(highly recommend). At $ 30, it is definitely a good price and a drink you must share unless you want to pass out before you finish your meal! For eats, I got the Irish nachos with chicken and mac & cheese grilled cheese sandwich. The irish nachos are actually french fries with assorted toppings; a must share meal because they give you a big portion. The sandwich will satisfy the cheese lover in all of us; cheese and greasy heaven in a sandwich lol. The prices are just right for the portions you get. The staff are cool and the vibe is nice. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a low key night out.

My friends & I were looking for a bar to hit after work for happy hour so we decided to go with Beer Belly’s. We got here around 4pm on a Thursday and it was pretty empty but we didn’t mind so much. We were so hungry so we practically ordered everything on the menu lol. We ordered nachos with the works, sliders, macaroni & cheese bites, chicken wings(buffalo & sweet & spicy) & tater tots with cheese. I really enjoyed the nachos and macaroni & cheese bites. The chicken wings were okay but I’ve definitely had better & they weren’t hot(temperature wise). I thought the tater tots would also taste better than they did because of the previous reviews I read. Also this place is definitely affordable for the amount of food we ordered. We each only spent a little over $ 20. For drinks finally, we ordered beer which was $ 5 for happy hour and mixed drinks were also $ 5. I can’t speak for the mixed drinks but my beer(blue moon) was good. Would not mind doing happy hour here again but just for the drinks.

Came here friday early evening around 7. VERYEMPTY(only customers) Server seemed to have very little knowledge of food(i.e. «Hows this food?» «Its really good») lol Had order a bunch of sharing appetizers and some extra entrees. Cost around 10 – 12 $ each dish. Some were generous servings but some were just disappointments. Overall tasted good for bar food. Fishbowl was 30 $ & we went with the red color(waiter said its just a color difference with the blue one) — definitely can taste the alcohol. — a lot of ice, but not enough to say wtf is this. — overall taste was good — smaller than I expected though. I’d come back here possibly later in the night when its a bit more packed because even the 2nd party that came in after us just dipped as soon as they saw the emptiness.

Came here last night for my friends bday dinner. We were seated right away even though our whole party hadn’t arrived yet. A few people ordered drinks(not me) which came out within minutes. We ordered Irish Nachos for the table… omg so yummy. Although we were taking forever to order since our whole party wasnt there we were never rushed. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. For my dinner I ordered the Fish and Chips. The Fish was fried perfectly. My friends ordered all different things, bacon cheeseburger, disco fries, buffalo chicken wrap, pulled pork sandwich, cuban sandwich, cheeseburger and salad. We all enjoyed the food and service. Will definitely go back again… especially to try the fried oreos(i was too full to order them last night) lol

Not many menu options. I found a long wavy hair inside my straw as I was drinking my water, and I completely lost interest in anything related to Beer Belly’s. I know it’s just hair and it’s just water. But I literally had to pull it out of my throat cause I swallowed it while gulping down my water. Ughhhhhh! I can’t. If I come back for any reason, it wouldn’t be to eat/drink.

Nice space. We sat upstairs since we were also having food. We ordered onion rings and Mac and Cheese. I just wish they had more of a variety of dipping sauces– something with a nice kick like a chipotle mayo or habanero mayo. The place had a little smell upstairs, reminded me of the smell of a wet rag. I think they may have wiped down the tables or mopped the floors with a dirty cloth. After a few beers, the smell didn’t bother me as much. Cool spot and the guy who served us was awesome!

I was having such a craving for tater tots so I had to go on Unilocal and I’m so glad I found beer belly! Not only were their tater tots nice and crispy, we also got it loaded with chili on top, so good!!! I love that both the nachos and tater tots came in big portions so it’s great to share especially if you’re hanging out with some friends and having a drink– which you’ll definitely find because they have 50 beers on tap! My night was definitely made by their loaded tots and Saranac Porter! Can’t wait to come back here again!

Huge selection of crafts on tap, and the tables have tap machines for more common stuff. The pressure on one of the taps at our table was really strong, though… either that or my friend would make a terrible bartender Irish nachos are out of this world. Loaded tots are good too but a bit much if you’re getting it on top of Irish nachos. The wings are decent, too. Hot isn’t too hot so next time I’ll try the habanero. 50 cent wings on Wednesdays!

One of my favorite bars on Bell Blvd! LOTS of beers on tap! Good food for cheap! The service let’s just say isn’t what you come here for… It’s okay unless you sit at the bar. I’ve gotten amazing service sitting at the bar before. When I’m at the tables the service is so slowwwww. For food I’d go with; — Irish nachos — Mac and cheese balls — tater tots — wings — ceasar salad(believe it or not it’s actually a decent salad yes at a bar) Upstairs has the tables with the pour your own beer taps but honestly it’s not too comfortable sitting at those tables especially if you order food and want to have a conversation with the person sitting across. All in all check this place out! wed night is 50 cent wings Thursday is ladies night and I believe half off appetizers.

Really like this place, the food is consistently delicious. I love their bacon mac and cheese sandwich, kind of confusing texture wise but it’s pretty awesome. Also, their fries are completely on point, which is a big deal for me. My only complaint is it is semi-confusing when you actually want to eat there versus hanging out at the bar. I don’t always see someone to seat you, so sometimes you kind of just wander upstairs until someone acknowledges you? I don’t know. Not my favorite. But anyway, I really like the beer taps upstairs, that’s pretty cool. Definitely an awesome place to watch football on sunday afternoons.

Places I rate 3 stars are ones I had a mixed experience in or want to try again, and Beer Belly’s is no exception. I came here early last night(on a Monday close to 6pm) to grab a drink and to watch basketball. The bartender was attentive and asked me often how everything was and was quick in taking my order and getting me a glass of Guinness on tap. I ordered a turkey burger, which I didn’t enjoy at all, because the patty wasn’t what I expected: it was overly greasy, freed, and a dark caramel brown color. The turkey burger patties I’m used to aren’t so strangely smooth textured, and their color is brighter too. The food was a disappointment, but Beer Belly’s probably has other food options that are better. It was great to see that each table along the wall of this space had its own small TV screen, and I’m glad that they had an NBA game(and a soccer game) on, too, at the same time, both of which kept me entertained. Even though my experience here could’ve been better, I’m up for giving Beer Belly’s another try sometime.

Randomly walked in on a Friday evening and had a pretty good time. They have a TON of beers on tap and a nice bar area as well as tables/booths. The vibe seems to be more chill/low key than other bars on Bell Blvd, not a rowdy crowd, which I thought was a positive. We ordered soups at the bar(weird, I know) but I tried the French onion and it was DELICIOUS. Much better than I expected, especially at this hour. Will surely be back next time I’m in the area. They also have a bunch of outlets along the bar — major plus!

This is one of my go to bars in the Bayside Queens area, you’ll probably find me there on Wednesdays, for their great wings specials. The mesquite bbq is easily one of my favorite wings sauces, it isn’t overbearingly sweet but sits in that perfect spot where very few bbq sauces can reach. I do wish that their hot sauce was a bit spicier, but thats probably a result of me living in buffalo for so long. The other bar food is pretty phenomenal. They serve my addiction to tater tots even offering an amazing loaded option thats topped with cheese and chili. I often sit at the bar with a beer stuck trying to decide between the wings and tots usually drinking myself to oblivion over the choice. If i get both it’ll kill me. If i don’t get one, my BAC ends up skyrocketing. Speaking of BAC, Beer Belly’s has one of the most impressive beer selections and setups that I’ve ever seen at a bar. Their first floor is a standard bar, where you can see all the beautiful tap handles; The second floor has direct taps where you pay for the amount that you drink. Also if you can, meet Jasmine at the bar! She’s easily my favorite bartender ever. She started picking up on the signs that I’m about to finish my drink and always brings me another cold one right as soon as i finish the last drop. Also PLEASEBRINGBACKTHESMORESDESSERT! It’s soo good.

I would give this place a solid 4.5! The food was extremely delicious and affordable, and I didn’t even come during happy hour with happy hour prices. There is a wide beer selection, but I wish they had more cocktails. Recommendations: — Loaded Tater Tots — if you’re in the mood for tater tots and love cheese, then definitely get this dish. It was very delicious, but make sure to devour it before it gets cold. — Sliders — Yum! — Fries — Nice and crispy, as how fries should be — Wings — I had the teriyaki wings and it was good!

900th review /last 2015 review! This is an epic moment, Unilocal.Celebrate me. Four of us stopped by here a couple of weeks ago. It’s yooooooj(Donald Trump voice). Two floors. Bar sections. Tables. Booths. And beer dispenser machines on each table upstairs, which, while ingenious, obstructs at least two people from seeing each other, so you have to adjust yourselves accordingly. Our waitress, Emily, was super cute! She was 18 and we talked to her about adopting her. She handled us well and checked on us at a good rhythm throughout the evening. The menu offered several options. We ordered French onion soup, wings, and a chicken quesadilla. Bar food — solid. I didn’t drink but was told that it was a tad overpriced. Overall, well run local bar that has a neighborhood feel that welcomes all ages to hang and watch a game. I’d recommend.

Is this a popular place in bayside? I feel like there’s so many great bars and restaurants on bell boulevard that I’m confused as to why people come here. It’s spacious for sure with an entire second floor but the food here is so not good. There’s one thing that I like here and it’s the tater tots. Other than that, the appetizers and entrees were bad. The spinach artichoke dip was so salty. The nachos were SOSO bland. Little cheese and no toppings make it a pile of bland tortilla chips. The bbq pulled pork burger smelled like a bad dump of meat. And the chicken sandwich was bland too. The Mac and cheese was a huge disappointment. How do you mess up pasta and cheese?! UNBELIEVABLE happy hour is good here though. So get drinks before 10am. That’s all I can say.

I really like the spot. They have tons of happy hours. I think Wednesday’s are wing night and Thursday s are trivia night with half off Mac and cheese. Their Mac and cheese is good. And really good wings… And huge selection of beer. Atmosphere are adult friendly and cool chill hangout spot. I come here frequently

50 beers on tap — awesome! Their tater tots was probably the largest plate of tater tots I’ve ever seen, and for the price it was SOWORTHIT. They have 50 cent wings on Wednesdays, but you can only order in multiples of 10. They have the bar downstairs with four bar stool tables and more seating upstairs. I came with a party of three and we were seated instantly upstairs with no problems. Will definitely be back to check out the other beers on tap!

Friday night, one of those nights where you just want to relax, take it easy, be in a cozy place sip some beer and enjoy some greasy fried bar food. YES tonight is that kind of night which means it’s time for BEERBELLY’s! NOTE: Beer Belly and Potbelly are not related in any way but both will get you a belly ;) Best way to describe Beer Belly is — BEER and BARFOOD! if you like neither, then this place might not be for you. It is located in the Hipster Foodie District in Queens aka Bell Blvd, right on Bell blvd and between 39th Ave and 40th Ave. Parking: OUCH bad, you’ll probably find a spot during the week days on Bell blvd but weekends are a different story– try going toward the back to the residential area(212th st/213th st) for a spot. It was a friend’s birthday, we wanted to take her out for a very casual drink but at the same time enjoy some decent food so in the end, a friend suggested Beer Belly. This is my first time to beer belly and I’m not a big drinker so I wasn’t thrill when they mentioned Beer Belly but once they started to talk about how awesome the bar foods are, I’m like IN. It was Friday night at around 10pm, we walked into Beer Belly, got our ID checked– security guy was friendly which was a shock! To my surprise the place was not as jam packed as I imagined. Décor and Ambiance: furniture wise– think sport bars and it’s exactly how it is– wooden furniture, some sport posters and some LCDTV. Simple. The place was surprisingly clean(No vomit smell or BO) and semi bright, which I didn’t expect from a bar but I do like it when I can see what’s in my food. Crowd is filled with mostly young working professionals so even a bar noob like me can enjoy. 2 floors– 1st floor has a big bar and a few tables where people stand and hang out but 2nd floor is why I thought Beer Belly was cool, ALLTABLESONTHESECONDFLOORHAVESELFSERVETAPSOF4DIFFERENTBEERS. seats approximately 70+ people. We requested a table on the 2nd floor mainly for the self serve taps, we got lucky and got one with Blue Moon, Bud Light, Brooklyn Lager and forgot the last one. Don’t really mind because my favorite is the Blue Moon. The machine displays how many ounces you poured and basically charges you by ounce. Each beer has it’s own price so don’t go crazy thinking they all the same(Price chart in the menu) There are a lot of good bar food on the menu, mostly burger, sliders and fried food but I think two of my favorites would have to be: Loaded Tater Tots– What’s not to like about tater tots, brings back the memory of those NYC school lunch days except now loaded with cheese, and chili. It’s a pretty hefty portion– medium size metal tin bucket. The tater tots are fried to golden brown, topped with cheez whiz and the very flavorful chili, just simple and delicious! just make sure you eat it fast before they turn soggy! MUSTTRY! Chicken Parm Sliders– Remember the KFC Double Down– two pieces of fried chicken filet with cheese in the middle? This is exactly what it is, except in a slider form. Don’t get this if you are trying to lose weight, actually why are you here if you are trying to lose weight? hah. Anyway it’s two pieces of fried chicken filet with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce in between. The chicken filet dipped in batter fried to perfection and add that slightly melted mozzarella cheese and some of that marinara sauce, just greasy enough for you to wash it all down with that beer. Service: We had a very attentive waitress and since she knew we were there to celebrate our friend’s bday, she threw in a round of shots for us which was very nice of her! Price: varies– depends on if you have party animals or not, with a self serve tap right in front of you, price can get dangerously high for some people. Bar food wise– price ranges from $ 8-$ 12 depending on what you order. Overall: I had a good time at Beer Belly, don’t let the name fool you, you don’t have to be a big drinker to enjoy Beer Belly, matter of fact, you probably don’t want to be a big drinker and come here, since you’ll go out of control with that tap in front of you. Love the bar food, the cleanliness of the restaurant and of course love the service. Definitely the place to go to for birthdays, any major celebration or just a chill night out with friends! Just make sure to bring SELFCONTROL!
