I initially stopped in just to get those delicious chocolate covered pretzels that my grandma used to bring back to San Diego when she visited here. Then we spied the ice cream shoppe in the back, and I’m weak when it comes to ice cream. We grabbed a booth and right away a sweet girl came over with menus and then followed it up with waters and a bowl of pretzels. There were so many offerings, but we both ended up getting milkshakes. I got a peanut butter one and it was very good. It was thick and creamy, perfectly blended. After stuffing ourselves with milkshakes and pretzels we wandered around the store to do a little shopping. This location is a little smaller than the other two I’ve been to and parking is limited, but I definitely like this area better. It’s in a charming neighborhood with nice shops nearby and other places within walking distance. I would definitely return to this particular store again, the service was nice.

I was very disappointed with Malley’s Ice Cream shop. The décor is tacky; everything is pink. I know that that is their signature color and Malley’s is trying to make it reminiscent of old ice cream parlors, but it just seams cheep. The service was very poor too. The shop is staffed with teenagers who don’t seem to care much. We ordered children’s Sundays for our 3 ½ year olds. The server took our order and didn’t mention that these would be very large for such young children. She made no effort to be friendly either. The ice cream is nothing special either, tasted like cheap store brands. The«hot fudge sundae» was just a dish of unappetizing, yellow colored, vanilla ice cream serverd with a small glass of «hot fudge» on the side. The fudge tasted off and was a gloppy mess. They also serve a small bowl of pretzels when they take the customers orders. The bowls are cheap, tacky, and brown, the kind I might see a college student on a tight budget use. The store seems to in the process of some type of remodeling. The flooring has been removed and the shop smells like chemicals. Not at all appetizing to have a bowl of ice cream after dinner. If you are looking for great ice cream and a nice place to enjoy it, try Mitchel’s or Rosso Gelato, both in Rocky River. The Dairy Queen just south of Malley’s is also better and probably Martin’s Deli on Bassett Rd.

Great ice cream and chocolates! I visited there yesterday with my wife, my daughter, our niece and her husband for desert… What a treat — GREAT Ice Cream! I had their Peanut Butter Cup sundae with their Peanut Butter Cup ice cream — it was wonderful! I would recommend a visit for some wonderful ice cream!

Came into this place with very high expectations and was semi disappointed. They have a decent selection of treats to choose from, but nothing really stood out as spectacular. We got a variety of different things to include candy, ice cream, chocolate malts, and sundaes. It was nice to try a northern Ohio staple, but most likely will not be back.

This is a candy store/ice cream shop in one, like the Lakewood, North Olmsted, and other locations. The candy is definitely great, and it is one of the best parts of living in NE Ohio. The ice cream parlor is wonderful, and we have been patronizing it ever since it came to Bay, and before that we went to North Olmsted. The décor leaves a lot to be desired(hope you like pink and green, people!), but you don’t go there for that. You go there for the fabulous hot fudge sundaes. If you order a regular hot fudge sundae, you get two scoops of ice cream(your choice), and a little pitcher of hot fudge that you can dole out as needed. Some of their signature treats and whatnot are really good, but can be a bit much. The Bordeaux sundae is definitely the latter. It has delicious toffee crunch ice cream, hot fudge, almonds, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and crumbled bits of bordeaux candy. Which sounds awesome until you try to eat the whole thing, and it becomes way too sweet. If you do choose to order it, get the children’s size. In addition to big huge sundaes that adults can barely and probably shouldn’t eat the whole of, they have several cute kid treats like the clown and the dog, as well as parlor staples of shakes and malts, phosphates, and just scoops. Oh, they also have some monstrous sundae that is 20 bucks with every single flavor and topping, which you can’t get to go. It is a nice trip to the good old days. Though they no longer have the lace doilies that went under your glass or dish, they still offer the same service, with water and a dish of pretzels while you wait in what seems like the 1950s to order.

Malley’s is amazing. There’s many locations throughout the Cleveland area – this location has ice cream as well as the chocolates for sale. Like the previous review said-they make their own hot fudge, as well as the caramel sauce, whip cream, peanut butter topping… the list goes on. I got a sundae with peanut butter and fudge toppings and whip cream and it was fabulous. Everything tasted so fresh… not fake/processed tasting like at DQ. I was in heaven. They have a large menu of all kinds of ice cream treats. The prices are less than or simliar to what’d you pay at a place like DQ… but way way better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get from here. I am a fan of dark chocolate, and there’s is the best… but even their milk chocolate is outstanding. They always have specials.

How am I the first to review this Malley’s?!? Malley’s is an institution in the Cleveland area. Their hot fudge is to die for and my family makes a point of buying a box of their soft centers every Christmas. I no longer live in town, but almost every time I’m home I pick up a box or 3 of the soft centers or the Gold Cup assortment. And perhaps the best thing about them(for us poor folk) is that after major holidays they often have a TON of stuff for 50% off. On a more regular basis, you can buy a bag of their«Sweet Slips» — candies that don’t look perfect, but taste just as divine for a fraction of the price. Mmmm.
