Let me start by saying, their menu is very cluttered. so please have an idea of what you want before you get here. We had got here early in the morning, and was looking for breakfast style food. but when we got here, the menu was so cluttered that it was really hard to see what was what. Since I was trying to time crunch, we chose two different bagels to try. While the bagels were delicious, they were not what I had in mind as a breakfast meal. We had the following: — The New Yorker — Nova Lox(smoked salmon), cream cheese, finely shredded onions and capers — this was somewhat heavy for a lox bagel, however, still delicious — Brooklyn Bomber — deli chicken breast with melted Havarti cheese, homemade spicy mayo and tomatoes — surprisingly, a very light meal. The flavors were also good and I actually prefer this over the New Yorker. Though the food were decent, I would probably not think to come back here.

The bagels are fresh and tasty. The service was very uninterested when I came up to the counter. Not terrible just no personality or zest. I really enjoyed everything I ordered and the front case has a little of something for everyone ranging from sweet to salty. I could see myself being a regular here. The cream cheese was priced a little high but it’s very good.

My favorite bagel place of all time! I haven’t found anywhere else that has such an amazing pesto bagel. I ate here VERY frequently while I was attending LSU, and I miss it all the time. The Brooklyn bomber on pesto is my favorite sandwich, and I couldn’t tell you the last time I got something different. New Orleans doesn’t have any great bagel sandwich places; at least none like this. If I am around Baton Rouge, this is the one thing I want to eat. I would pass up Pinetta’s, Ruffino’s, or Juban’s for a bagel sandwich. That tells you how much I LOVE this place. Another example of how much I ate NY bagel is that I owned a house in the garden district while I was living in Baton Rouge. The restaurant on government is much closer, but they never had my pesto bagel. I would drive all the way past the opposite side of campus to go to this location before I returned home. Even in traffic. They give you a pickle spear, bagel chips, and veggie cream cheese with your order. Very delicious, too. I’m glad I have friends in the Baton Rouge area so I can go here every once in a while. Honestly, I would consider franchising in New Orleans if I had the time.
