Ok, I am the first to admit I am a coffee snob. I grew up here in Louisiana and so for me the ONLY coffees I drink are Community and my beloved Starbucks. This morning I was so glad to see Java inside the General! I had been up since 3 and coffee never smelled so good!
I opted for a cold Frappé– a caramel one to be exact and it was pure heaven. No milky water concoction here! It was think and rich and full of robust coffee flavor! The thick whip cream on top was like icing on the cake and it was just what I needed while waiting on my loved ones procedure.
I do not recommend their bakery items. I started out wanting a bagel and cream cheese. They had no way to warm it and it was half frozen… She still tried to sell it to me and I said no. Who wants a frozen bagel!!!
I instead chose a blueberry muffin as it was not in the case… It was still cold as ice but at least it wasn’t frozen. It did taste day old and I wished I had not gotten it.
The three stars they got were for coffee alone. Nothing else.

So far this place is a hit! Good place to go when tired of cafeteria food. Haven’t tried the coffee yet but nacho Thursday is a must. They also have salads and sandwiches, snacks and candy, muffins and cookies, and I think the coffee is Starbucks.
