Ice Skating on the River And The Baton Rouge river center

This was such a fun way to wrap up my New Years trip to Baton Rouge! $ 12 a ticket, 75 minute long session! Your ticket also includes a small drink and skate rental.
Tickets do sell out fast for skating sessions to buy early if you want to get on the ice! Parking was free and the staff was very organized, skates are pretty basic and can hurt your feet so wear thicker socks and go up a half size if you can!
They had a small concession stand for nachos, popcorn, fountain drinks and prepackaged snacks!
All in all, great event for families, couples or an individual!

River center for the last few years has done this 2x/​year — in July and Christmas time — this is a good thing as people of all ages are exposed to ice skating — you see beginners — young and old — as well as people who have skated for many years — but they all seem to be having fun. You see some fall, some cling to the rail, and many many real smiles and bright faces. Cost is $ ¹²⁄₇₅ minute session — this is long enough as you will need breaks from skating. Your admission does include a 10 ounce fountain drink. Also if you do not want to sjTe but only watch — that’s free — time for me to go back on the ice for the final 20 minutes
