Can’t really complain about a relatively new Target. Especially in Batavia! I spent a lot of time here visiting relatives when I was young and there was no where to go, no place to shop… BORING! But now, it seems Batavia has turned a corner in the shopping department. The addition of Target in this little old cow town is a sign of hope that the economy is on it’s way to doing well again! My only complaint about this Target is the state of the bathrooms. It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever been in, but damn! If your employees can’t clean shit off the toilets and restock toilet paper, then hire out for your cleaning tasks please, Target! I haven’t been in a Target anywhere in a long time that has had a clean bathroom! This one is no exception. Yuck.

This Target location is not my favorite but it’s convenient when I’m out here. I work in this area and only go here because Batavia has few options. They do have the only Starbucks in Batavia so that’s a plus. It’s really frustrating for me to go to a store where the clothing racks are a mess. This store is clean and organized but it’s probably because they don’t have as many clothing options as the larger city stores. I wish this location would carry more clothing — brands and sizes. The racks are more empty than they are full. In this case, I would prefer a messy store if it means they would carry all the same merchandise as the other stores. They also don’t carry the NYX makeup brand that most of the other stores have. I’ll only go here if I’m crunched for time and need to go to a store on my lunch.

When I lived out here, this Target was like my oasis. In a town with not much besides a Walmart and a Kmart, this place was my saving grace. It’s actually a pretty clean target and well stocked considering its location. They also have a Starbucks which is magical out in an area where good food and decent coffee are nearly non-existent. I’ve heard rumors that this target would be closing and I hope for the people who live out here that that’s not the case. Leaving everyone with the choices of Walmart and Kmart would be a real shame.
