Went there to get donuts for my son’s birthday party in school. first thing I noticed was that the employee from what I gathered was arguing with the owner or the owner’s daughter. the older lady has been handling money and when I ask for donuts put off fuse did not wash your hands while touching the food. in the middle of my order after I proclaim that I needed two dozen donuts the old woman said that she really needs to leave and gave the order to the other lady. when I told the younger woman my order she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed so I decided to leave. do not ever go to this place. if somebody has a business and wants to thrive they should at least try to be courteous to the customers. Also I don’t normally do reviews but I really feel like I had to do one ton this place. It sucks.

Best jalapeño cheese sausage kolache around! Fresh donuts in every flavor, chocolate drizzled donut holes… yum! Service is fast and friendly. They will even custom fill one for you!

Ah yes, Super Donuts, the«other’ bakery in Bastrop. Super Donuts is a reliable place to get your unhealthy breakfast treats. They have a very large variety(donuts, bearclaws, twists, meat kolaches, fruit kolaches, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, etc.) and don’t seem to run out of things very often, so that’s good. I really enjoy the sausage kolaches and croissant breakfast sandwiches, and the donuts are pretty good too(I usually go for the ones with strawberry or maple icing). The only thing I wouldn’t really recommend are the breakfast tacos … I got one that I believe was supposed to be potato/egg/cheese, and it was pretty odd … imagine cheddary garlic mashed potatoes in a tortilla and you get the idea. Today I stopped by to get some sausage and cheese kolaches to take to work. I bought 6 regular ones for my co-workers and one large one for me. I should have just gotten a regular one … the bread on the large one was extremely thin, so I basically just tasted the meat, which was good, but I’d like a bit more bread to balance it out. They have a $ 5 credit card minimum which is kind of annoying(and I believe illegal as well), but I usually spend more than that when I go anyway since I’m not buying for just myself.

No need to drive into Austin for excellent donuts. No, it’s not quite as wonderful as Mrs. Johnson’s but it’s still incredible. Get there early on Sundays – certainly before the church crowds descend – and you’ll have your pick of fresh glazed, crullers, sour cream, bear claws, lemon, and cream cheese kolaches. And more. A lot more. In addition to donuts, they have a nice assortment of kolaches – sausage, pan sausage(my favorite!) jalapeño, cheese, etc. They also have croissant sandwiches and breakfast tacos.(Haven’t tried their breakfast tacos, as for my money the best breakfast tacos are at Jalisco). But I’ve tried most all these treats and have enjoyed them all. The whole family enjoys Super Donut on the weekends. It’s cheap, it’s really good, and there’s something for everyone – even those who aren’t in the mood for donuts.
