Dr. Micale and staff are an absolutely wonderful group of individuals to entrust all your dental care needs to. When one arrives, they are greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist who genuinely feels she is here to help and make you feel comfortable. Whether it be a gentle cleaning with the professional hygenist, a filling, or even a crown procedure, the old mindset of the dentist being a ‘terrible’ time is debunked. I highly reccomend this office for all your dental needs.

Like most normal people I’ve always dreaded that annual dentist appointment. What’s to like, anyway? You sit in an uncomfortable chair with your mouth wide open. So vulnerable. You drool. You spit blood and gunk. You get lock jaw. You have cotton swabs shoved up your mouth. You attempt to respond to questions and end up sounding completely retarded. And you’re told repeatedly that you don’t floss enough.
So one day I decided to switch things up and made an appointment with Dr. Micale. Got tired of my old boring Basking Ridge dentist (he will go unnamed).
You know how usually you walk into any doctor’s office and get the bitchy, tired look by an angry woman named Wanda who says «name and insurance card» with total boredeom in her eyes? Then her eyes go back to her computer screen, where’s she’s most likely on
, but she keeps her hand outstretched impatiently waiting for you to find your insurance card? I hate that moment.
Not like that at Dr. Micale’s place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by his sweet staff. They are probably the nicest and most supportive office staff I’ve ever visited. And as busy as they are, I kid you not, they treat you like you’re the only patient in the world. One woman has been there for over 40 years — she is like the mother or grandmother you never had.
Then there’s Dr. Micale. Finally… a dentist with good bedside manor. Once again, he enters the room and treats you like a human being, not just a head with bad teeth to fix. He’s talkative, personable, knowledgeable and immediately makes you feel at ease in that chair. Also important to mention that the man knows how to give a good shot! I had a filling replaced, and I didn’t feel a thing.
When it came time to talk teeth, they all gave me an education on gum disease, decay, long term care, and best teeth practices. I left in good spirits, smarter, healthier, and of course with my free toothbrush and floss in hand.
I will see them in six months and I’m already looking forward to it.
