Old world dairy barn. Great little ice cream shop and walk up window. I felt like John Trovolta in Pulp Fiction taking my first taste of the phenomenal chocolate shake. Incredible product priced high($ 5.75 large shake) so i can see how a big family wold not see the value. I love this old world feel treat yourself once and feel, see and taste the difference.

Friendly staff & amazing flavors. For those who aren’t from around this area, like myself, this place is worth the drive. They have plenty of flavors to satisfy even the pickiest tastebuds. Steph(I hope I remembered her name) was very helpful in helping us find the best flavors to suit our needs. There were 4 of us and she was very helpful and quick to give us samples until we decided the winner(s). I’m not a cherry ice cream kind of person, but the Cherry Garden is my favorite. It’s a maraschino cherry based ice cream with coconut, pineapple and crushed maraschino cherries. I think the coconut and pineapple flavors are what really won me, but it’s really blends well with the cherry. I always know an ice cream shop is good based on their vanilla ice cream. And they really get it right. It’s creamy and delicious. Everything you would want in a vanilla ice cream. It’s amazing how much ice cream they give you. The mini is definitely not a mini. I got the small on a cone and it was a lot. I got 2 huge scoops and it was enough to fill me up and then some. TL:DRCHERRY garden, they give you big scoops, just come. It’s worth it.

Great place for ice cream and breakfast. Not many people no know that. Had simple eggs and English muffins and porkroll for breakfast. Just Delish and quick. Great coffee. Ice cream always great — we get 6 pints to go and come back in a few weeks to restock. We always stop when we are down in this area.

We drove past this place on our way out of town & saw it was packed! We made sure we stopped by on our way home(at a random time during the weekday) we were super glad we did! The ice cream was fresh & super creamy! It definitely had that dairy, home feeling! The only thing was it was a little pricey!($ 9 for 2 small ice creams) But worth it for the refreshing homemade taste compared to the typical Dairy Queen!

Longacres is a very good place to get more then Ice Cream, They do serve food. I really like the Burgers. The Ice Cream for me always comes after the burgers.

While visiting in PA, I was taken here in a large group by my friend. We were here for lunch and ice cream, so we sat down. Immediately, I noticed that there wasn’t much seating since the place was a combination of a restaurant with a grocery store and ice cream shop. So, as you can imagine, it was a little odd in terms of décor. The type of lunch food was sandwiches/burgers/fries, and so I got a «California» cheeseburger, which is your basic cheeseburger, but with lettuce/onion/tomatoes. It’s not super gourmet but I mean, this didn’t seem like that type of a place. In addition to the burgers, our table also got a bunch of sides. I got the macaroni salad and a side of red beet eggs. Sadly, they were out of the potato salad. The macaroni salad was a bit on the sweet side, but I liked it. The red beet eggs, however, were a little on the bland side. It didn’t seem like it was carried enough of the beet pickling flavor. I probably wouldn’t get it again, but since it was a local food, I figured I’d have to try it out. The real star of the show though, was the ice cream. My girlfriend really loved it too. The ice cream was really creamy and was really good at preserving its texture during the time that we ate it. Definitely make sure to save room for the ice cream; it’s definitely worth it.

When I was a kid, you could go to a dairy bar, and you’d buy your milk there, because they were an actual working dairy. Their ice cream was probably made using their own milk. Guess what, kids? Places like this still exist! Longacres pretty much is a snapshot in time. A long list of flavors to choose from; indoor and outdoor seating. Just don’t show up on Sunday, or you’ll be sad(they’re closed).

All flavors are delicious and the portion sizes are huge! Have to try the new salted caramel, either with or without pretzel pieces.

Really good ice cream !! Tons of flavors, all looked delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong. And they were very accommodating for a large group of assisted living residents.

Real authentic old-school craftsmanship for their Dairy Bar area and soft serve. We got milk shakes ice cream and soft serve and everything was really rich and delicious. The kids loved it and nice to see a local Dairy as there are so few. Look forward to the next trip

Hats off to the coconut custard. Rich and creamy, pieces of coconut and just sweet enough. Will be challenging myself to try every flavor before the end of October. Still remember that cherry soda I had here many years ago. It was so refreshing and much needed on that cold and rainy night. Prices are reasonable as ice cream here is heavier than the supermarket selections.

Nice little local dairy, delicious ice cream and sundaes. It may just be my own thing but, I recently read the list of ingredients on a pint of ice cream and was surprised to see all of the preservatives and chemicals in their products. :(that being said… it is delicious. They expanded within the past few years and now have soft serve outside and a nice little sitting area inside and out. They also have a small menu for food and sell other dairy products.

I must say it is a blessing living so close to some of the best ice cream in the boyertown area. Every flavor is fresh and bursting with ‘straight up awesomeness’. This old fashioned dairy bar is just charming and is the perfect spot for any quick celebration or occasion. Did your kid have a good soccer game? Get some Longacre’s. Wanna do a cheap date? Get some Longacre’s. Hot summer night with nothing to do as a family? Get some Longacre’s.(See where I’m going with this?)

Longacres Modern Dairy brings back so many wonderful memories of coming as a kid with my family. Everything is delicious and everyone is super friendly. Best memory was watching my Dad eat the entire garbage sundae. :)

I love ice cream… it is my most favorite food group! My husband took me here and we had hot fudge sundaes. I had mine with vanilla and he had chocolate ice cream. Ice cream had a good texture and flavor. The hot fudge was delicious. Would definitely come back again. I enjoyed it!

Yum. Farm fresh ice cream treats and a limited food menu. Now served from a window like the cows intended. There is usually a line; that’s how good this place is. A bit pricey.

The best coffee ice cream ever! Other flavors are great too. It has a really homey, small town vibe. And there is plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy your ice cream on nice day. Service was fine, no problems there. Prices were great! I was shocked at how low the prices were(…or perhaps I’ve lived in a city for too long). My only issue is that the parking lot somewhat resembled a zoo, and we had to drive around a few times before being able to find a parking space. We went on a Sunday evening, there were a bunch of people hanging out at their cars, and it wasn’t clear whether or not they were about to leave. But this just goes to show how much business Longacres gets!

Honestly the best ice cream and milkshakes I’ve ever had. Tons of flavors and toppings to choose from, also frozen yogurt! It has a very old-school, home-y vibe… places like this do not exist anymore. They also sell milk to take home – and I definitely recommend the chocolate milk.

Longacres is always a stop for me when traveling back and forth to Philly. Love to get the baby dish — it’s enough for two to share, if you don’t want to stuff yourself. I’ve never found a flavor I didn’t love — but have found a few dishes that were subpar. Mostly because it’s slower in the off season, and the less popular flavors just don’t turn enough to keep super fresh(beware of ice crystals and that off taste if you choose poorly). They put up a huge new covering over the entrance so you can sit in the shade. Love it… just stick to the basics in the off season to ensure the best goodies hit your mouth.
