Absolutely perfect. Came here with friends on a thursday night and we were blown away by everything. The décor, wine list and food was without a doubt impeccable. Very small restaurant, maybe 30 seats on the inside and tables on the patio. Very intimate and beautiful. We started with a few apps. The cheese and charcuterie board were very well put together and the tartine was beautiful and possible was the best way I’ve ever eaten ricotta cheese. For entrees we had the Faroe Island Salmon, Pepper Crusted Steak, Shrimp and Grits and Pork Ragout Special. My Salmon was pink in the middle which is the way I believe ALL salmon should be served. Perfectly seasoned with a ring of a red wine reduction that was was visually satisfying. I’m not one for olives but the olive and quinoa salad on top was such a palate pleaser. My girlfriend had the«plat du jour» which was the pork ragout with pappardelle pasta. Our server had mentioned that the pasta was made in house and it was a perfect al dente. The ragout itself was like nothing we have ever tasted before. Incredibly tender and flavorful. And the shaved truffles on top made it one of the greatest dishes I’ve ever tried. The cocktails were perfect. The food was incredible. And the service was amazing and personable. Even though there was one gentleman serving for the entire restaurant, he made it his mission to make sure everyone had a unique experience. Dessert was very very indulgent. A very generous portion of chocolate mousse and lemon sabayon was the cherry on top of our 5 star dining experience. We went here on a recommendation from a few friends, but we have never heard of Table. Definitely one of Rhode Islands best kept secrets.

I find it hard to believe that so many alleged patrons gave this restaurant anywhere near top rating. Being fairly local and working close by we were excited to have an upscale restaurant in town, but it’s still in «wanna-be«status in my opinion, and it has a too high an opinion of itself which will likely do this place in. My spouse and I both work long hours and would eat here a couple of times a month, Never really had a totally satisfying wow experience really. It’s hit or miss, mostly miss. .The continuation of that, on top of a never changing menu… that isn’t the greatest to begin with, just wore on us. Such a disappointment. —-Soups are often under seasoned and lukewarm and they have offered the same four soups over and over since they opened. Usually puréed goo. We stopped ordering them . — Appetizers /sides /small plates: Needs a total re –do. Not really appetizers but vegetable side dishes. And not the kind that could be a mini meal or even anything with a «wow» factor. They are literally a side of veggies, ie: ten Brussels sprouts… or five slices of sweet potato, for 8 bucks. I don’t mind paying for anything, but there’s Nothing at all creative, no culinary effort to warrant the price for half of a sweet potato with a dust of herbs on it, or re-re –re-re-reheated Brussels sprouts, sogged out, mushy, served in a small bowl of cool grease. Sometimes you’re in the mood for a couple of appetizers and a glass or two of wine for dinner. Can’t be done here. The«Small plates«are just that. They should call them«small minded» sides instead. The poutine(French fries with curds and gravy, lived on this in Montréal and when visiting Paris cafés or in London). Don’t judge the dish based on what’s served here. The gravy here is tasteless and after two tries with this at Table I stopped getting this here. I offered suggestions but the manager is too ignorant to accept suggestions and told us «this is how the dish is supposed to taste » trust me, It ISNOT supposed to taste the way I’ve had it at table. A can of generic supermarket gravy would taste better than the gruel poured on the«frittes» here. It’s this ignorance that may explain why the food in general is as it is … Mediocre . The entrees, very limited selection and never changing menu. Again quality is too Hit or miss. They can’t cook chicken, often under cooked, and I’ve sent it back on a few occasions . Flank steak and salmon are decent, but definitely better elsewhere. The burgers and frittes and Caesar salad are always very good in my experience, but that’s about it. Pros: ambience, excellent excellent wines, Décor, are nice. Burgers and Caesar salad(small portion not meal size) are very good. Cons: 1) The Manager Is friendly enough, but ignorant if he can’t see the problems with the food and the variety and the lack of quality this establishment serves. Maybe the owners /investors should take a survey. Word of mouth opinion of this place isn’t at all great, which is why I’m not trusting all the«rave» reviews posted here. reviews from Family? friends ? 2) The food itself. I give up. Mediocre. Suggestions: Dirty, wrinkled, grungy paper menus are a turn off and dim lighting doesn’t hide this . Hire someone with a palate. Perhaps the owner and manager should take some time and visit and eat at some finer smaller restaurants in Boston, providence, NYC and see how it should be done. The place has so much potential and obviously invested much time and cash into the décor and even the dinnerware and wall art is different and is beautiful. But you need to re-address the food … The effort, the thought, the creativity, and especially the quality and palate of the food you serve is quite lacking. We really wanted to love this place, it’s frustrating and so disappointing that we don’t.

A friend and I had lunch here the other day and it was delightful from start to finish. The dining room is small but charming, our waiter Claude was excellent. We started with the cheese board, which was very tasty with homemade jam, honey, candied nuts. 3 cheeses and nice bread. We then split the house Caesar which was as crisp as the best salad I’ve ever had. I had the hanger steak which was very flavorful if a tad undercooked. My friend had a burger which was large, juicy and tasty. We split a cranberry apple tart which was light and superb! The 20 year port was just the perfect ending to this wonderful meal. I took home a Reuben, which my husband loved, I tried it and the corned beef was very tender! I would have liked a bit more of a bite to the sauerkraut though. It is on the pricy side but well worth it. Will definitely go here again!

The food was not that good. I had the pea and lentil soup – it was way under seasoned and flavorless. Next up was something I really wanted to try: the goat cheese grilled cheese. Goat cheese is a mild cheese and I was curious how they made it work in a grilled cheese which typically features full flavored cheeses like Brie, Gouda, cheddar. Answer: they didn’t. It fell flat. Lastly we had the donuts which really weren’t donuts at all and were more like dough boys. A thick, dense, deep fried batter. And the worst part of the whole experience was the price of draft beer: $ 9 or $ 11 depending which of the 3 you wanted. Service was attentive and good. My wife and I enjoyed her butternut squash risotto – it was tasty. But literally everything I ordered was terrible.

My friend who lives in Barrington has not steered us wrong yet when it comes to restaurants. Of the 3 restaurants that she has recommended, I have now rated 5 stars here on Unilocal.Let’s take a look at 3/3, the most recent addition to my favorite restaurants in Rhode Island. Table. Simple name to represent the food that they have here. They’re not gaudy or trying to be something they’re not. Their food is simply, delicious and pleasing to the palate. It’s a fusion of French and American cuisine and like all great restaurants, their menu isn’t overly complex and trying to overreach their expertise. They have both a lunch and dinner menu both of which offer a different side of what they offer. We were of course there for dinner. The restaurant is situated within a strip mall of sorts, but stands out though with its décor. It’s exactly what you would visualize a restaurant like it would look like on the inside: Old worn wood reused to frame the wine on display, tables that are slabs of wood but polished to give you a great dining experience and an open window into the kitchen. There is a generous list of wines on the menu from whites to reds to European(French/Italian) to California. The service was impeccable and fun. We started off with the sausage, French onion soup, brussel sprouts, and poutine. All of these were excellent dishes although something tells me we really couldn’t have gone wrong with choosing any other appetizer on there. The sausage was spicy but served with a side of crispy bread. The brussel sprouts were perfectly browned to add a little crisp to the texture but not overly cooked to leave it mushy. The poutine was, well, it was poutine. Need I say more? I went with the risotto tonight while the other dishes at the table included the pasta fettuccine special and the short rib(served on top of risotto). The risotto was nicely cooked and simple flavored with what looked like some pieces of ham giving it a delicate flavor that won me over. However, I might go next time with the short rib which was served on top of the risotto giving it another dimension of flavor. The pasta was also delectable. Obviously home made with a beautiful tomato cream sauce. Yes, they did have a dessert menu but we were so stuffed at that point … and SOMEONE gave up sweets for Lent but that’s ok. We will be back to concentrate on desserts the next time =). Plenty of parking. make a reservation if you can beforehand. It’s a small restaurant and people come up from Providence and all other places to eat here!

Loved this place! Went for lunch with my sister. We were the only two people in the restaurant. We started with the prosciutto appetizer. Let me tell you I’ve never seen so much prosciutto on one plate before. Generous portion, served with freshly baked bread, mustard and house made pickles. Highly recommend ordering this. The prosciutto part of it could feed six easily. I had the Faroe Island Salmon with roasted vegetables. It was perfectly cooked and quite possibly the best salmon I’ve ever tasted. Our waiter was engaging and friendly and suggested we come back for dinner sometime because the place had a better ambience at night. It was still charming in the daylight. Cute, small space. Great prices. Not stuffy or snooty– refreshing with it being in Barrington and all…

Heavenly. The food is so fresh. It is carefully selected and creatively prepared. The owner makes you feel so taken care of. Amazing wine selection and the chocolate mouse was so good.

Very good food and atmosphere. We went there many times for lunch and we love it. Probably the best place in Barrington.

We absolutely love this intimate, elegant, creative little restaurant. Every detail from the décor to the menu to the playing is taken seriously. The food is always interesting and delicious. The salads are fun and so fresh. The mussels and salmon are divine. We have liked everything we have ordered here and we keep coming back on most date nights. It’s such a wonderful addition to Barrington. Definitely check out this gem.

Small and quaint, this rustic gem is hidden off the beat among several store fronts. My first experience with business colleagues brought me back again with me wife. Everything in its short menu is superb. Fresh with most ingredients grown by the owner Claude — who remembered me from my last visit. Once settled the restaurant did not feel small. Tables were arranged just so. I had a delicious fettuccini and shrimp dish which went perfectly with a Syrah. The Quayle special however did sound delectable. Each dish showed the extra special effort from the chef. The meal was complimented by perfect service. Attentive, not ignored or hovered. It’s a true neighborhood gem. For us Bostonians worth the ride.

Just had a delicious meal with seasonal rhubarb asparagus strawberries in both savory and sweet combinations. Experimental but not precious. One of our regular treats.

Totally delicious and it’s adorable inside. Everything we got was great and they had a tasty wine list to boot. Great date restaurant but if they take reservations I’d make them because it’s a small place and we had to wait a bit, but it was worth it.

I’ve had a somewhat tumultuous relationship with Table. First I was disappointed, but they were still working out the kinks and I was expecting too much from the new guys, anyway. Then I went back for brunch and I was like, «yay! they are good, really really good! This is the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had!» But then they stopped serving brunch so I went for dinner and I was like, «Oh. Ok. This is fine. I guess.» Overall, after many visits and a couple years later, I’m landing on A-Ok at 3 stars for Table. I have a hard time digesting the entrée prices here. It’s not that the food isn’t made from quality ingredients but if I’m going to wop out that much cash for dinner, frankly, I’m heading to Providence and making a night of it. As someone who doesn’t eat meat, my options here are très limited and the daily veg. dish option has never inspired me enough to actually order it so I end up making up a meal of some apps. On my most recent visit, the the Caesar Salad was beyond bland. I wish I had the nerve to speak up about it to the waiter but in a place this small, I was afraid that the diners 10 inches to my left would overhear my complaint and it just seemed too awkward to get into. I still like the décor and the intimate atmosphere and one of the servers is very pleasant but there is one gentleman, who always seems a bit surly and the time I opted for just water instead of ordering a cocktail, he seemed genuinely displeased at this. I wish I liked Table more than I do. I was excited to have a nice spot right in town to grab dinner and a drink with my husband now and again but the prices and menu selection just leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Table is pretty good, but a bit too pricey(at least for drinks and dinner). Lunch is the best time to go. The lunch menu is interesting and really cheap for the quality food you get. The dinner menu is also great but a bit pricey. Beers are crazy pricey anytime though. $ 8 for a 12 ounce pour of an average craft beer is just too much(this seems to be the new thing in the east bay since Chomp also charges similar prices). Also, just a pet peeve, but I can’t stand places whose only vegetarian option is a very pricey medley of all the veggie sides they happen to be able to throw together on a particular day. Not much thought or effort goes into these so if it is all you offer, you should not charge a fortune for it.

Table rivals any other farm-to-table in the state — to say«it’s good for Barrington» is a disservice to the caliber of the menu, staff, space, and overall experience. Rustic elegance. I went in not expecting much — because it’s Barrington — and was completely floored by our server, our meal, and the space. Our server had a powerful command over the menu, and even better yet, the beer list. We ordered the burger and the grilled cheese. And they nailed it. Presentation, flavor complexity, portion, added details like a homemade sauce for the fries… Totally memorable. A real wow on the service front. Wonderful details in the experience and décor like solid wood platforms for the menus and a window into the kitchen and open counter for cheese and wine pairings. A must try.

Table is currently the best dining option in Barrington. There’s really no comparison for it in town right now. The cooking is aspirational, the bar selections are interesting, and the service is on the ball. For some reason Barrington has been for many years a harsh climate for good restaurant success(for a long time lack of liquor licenses prevented talent from setting up shop and plus, seriously, driving down the main road, you’d think that the Town of Barrington aspires to be an branch of the Federal Reserve given the number of banks that you can find packed in ¼ mile. But I digress). Anyway, I hope Table sticks around for the long haul. I live in food-loving Providence where there’s no shortage of good grub options, but I would still say it’s worth the 15 minute drive from Providence to try this little spot(I’d recommend reservations before you go since the space is small). Good job Table, I look forward to dining again really soon.

Table is one of the best restaurants in RI .Period. It is a small comfortable dining experience. Its all about balance. For example, tonite we shared the frisee salad with a mustard vinagrette dressing; the salad greens and sliced radish were fresh and crisp, and the dressing had just the right amount of mustard to compliment the tartness of the greens. The pasta dish with duck and cranberries just exploded with flavor. The salmon over ratatouille eas perfectly cooked, a wonderful piece of North Atlantic salmon; moist, tender, flavorful. The wine list is without a doubt the most eclectic in the state. Tonite, a Poullsard from the Jura in eastern France. A young, balanced red, meant to be drink now, that compliments lighter to medium bodied dishes. I doubt there is a Jura wine on any other menu in this state. If you enjoy well cooked food, with just the right balance of texture and spices, and a really exceptional wine menu that is just fun to order from, Table is a joy!

While the food is good, the restaurant is too small. The owners have crowded 6 tables along the back wall, when 5 would suffice. I was brushed or lightly bumped 6 times by restaurant staff. The staff was gracious, the place is just too small. The menu is geared to foodies, and the food was good. The tiny restaurant was much too cold. The ceiling is low and it is loud hearing other diner’s conversations. There was no Cabernet unless you bought a half bottle. The décor is very nice. They need to get the kinks out. I am surprised with all the 5-star ratings. Table is just OK.

I’ve been meaning to try out Table since they opened. I took my young daughter for a lunch on Friday. We were very impressed with the impeccable and gracious service. I was concerned that it wouldn’t go well with my 20-month old daughter but she had a grand time. Not sure I would take her regularly, more of a grown-ups place. Like I said though she loved it. In any rate we tried the Mufellatta sandwich and the grilled cheese. The portion sizes were perfect for lunch, and each dish had something that impressed me. On the grilled cheese, it had a great apple butter that was fantastic along with the crunchy bread. As for the Mufellatta, I thought the olive spread was great. It reminded me a bit of the airy taste I remember from my first Mufellatta in New Orleans. Table looks like it would be nice for dinner — they have a beautiful wine collection that is featured on the wall. Looking forward to my next visit.

Barrington finally has a great restaurant! Just went here for dinner and have been wanting to trying Table for some time. For an app I ordered the Daniele Prosciutto and it was creatively matched with an apple butter and some caraway mustard. For dinner I had the hanger steak and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The portions are large and the prices are not outrageous like Pizzico on County road. I was with a large group and we split the dessert sampler. Even with six people we all tasted everything. The décor is that of a modern french bistro and it’s very limited space requires a call ahead for a reservation. The service is fantastic! the place was packed on a Saturday night and 2 servers handled the place like a well oiled machine. I’m so happy that the owners of Table have open a farm-to-table bistro in Barrington!
