This is a solid municipal park area. Mostly aimed at providing sports facilities with multiple baseball, soccer and youth football fields, it also has two playground areas along with a 2 mile paved walking path. This is not the park to visit if you want to commune with nature out in the hills, this is a park to bring your kid to ride their bike on the safe paved path or play on the playground or to have a little picnic in the fresh air. There are many trash cans which, as a dog owner who has to clean up after said dogs, I appreciate a lot. Well kept with fences in good repair, lawns mowed and minimal/no trash on the ground(only that which like blew in on the wind overnight). A fair number of trees are spray painted with an X which usually indicates that they are dead and need to be removed but there should be enough left on the walking path to provide shade while taking out those trees most likely to land on one’s head in a wind. No idea what the restroom facilities are like and whether or not they are open year-round; that is an important factor after all in visiting a park with kids or far from ones’ home.
