Patrick’s By the Sea

I know that five stars for this Bar Harbor tourist shop may sound a little excessive, but hear me out.
1. This shop is a bit smaller than some of the other «tourist trap» shops along the strip, but they have a decent selection of high quality items at competitive prices.
2. This shop is dog friendly and also has the cutest dog who is the shops unofficial mascot. He I older and blind but still incredibly adorable.
3. The staff here is exceptional. They are incredibly receptive to customers but not overbearing and intrusive. The staff here was actually the nicest staff we interacted with while in Bar Harbor.
4. They not only have your generic run of the mill tourist attire, but have a huge selection of hand crafted items from local vendors. The jewelry here was gorgeous and I almost died laughing at a lobster calendar which was made by a local lobster fisherman.
Overall, this store deserves the five stars because they treat their customers right and have a great selection of items. A few smiles, small talk and a welcoming vibe goes a long way for me!

I almost want to call this a bootleg Vineyard Vines, as they both have pink whales as their logos. However, the similarities end there. Whereas Vineyard Vines is a preppy clothing store, Patrick’s is one of the many souvenir shops that Bar Harbor has to offer.
Although they sell a lot of the same things that the other stores have (Maine t-​shirts, magnets, postcards, etc) they do have one of the better locations on Main Street. They are very close to the water and the ferry terminal, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are the first stop for the tourists that come to Bar Harbor by sea.
I do gotta give them props, though– they were the only souvenir shop that sold these sweet Hatley iPhone cases, and I was able to buy a moose themed one!

Dog friendly! In fact a sweet, little dog resides here! And they have lots of cute stuff.

Wonderful little shop of souvenirs and gifts. Staff very nice and appreciated business. If you are in downtown Bar Harbor this is worth a stop.
