I made a reservation online a couple of weeks in advance. The shuttle picked me up in Bangor 15 min. early and took me and two other people who were staying at the same place to Mount Desert Island. Very helpful and pleasant driver. Ask where they stop because they don’t go everywhere on MDI. The $ 45 fare is much cheaper than renting a car. A great service.
