I’ve been to this place many times and it’s never consistent. I’ve had decent food and not so great food. I keep going back because my service has been good, the breakfast selection is not vast in the area and despite a busy atmosphere the wait is relatively short, however last week was a terrible experience. I ordered my usual skillet which came out better than usual, but the service was horrible. I ordered and was told I could not have my usual substitutions and that they«never do that». The waitress argued that she’s been there two months and my request is not possible. She continued to argue with me and wouldn’t even ask the manager. My coffee was brought to the table very late and she never came back to the table except to drop the bill. The owner walks around and has never once asked how things were or acknowledged us. Never going back. Anyone have any ideas for a new breakfast spot?

Just left without seating. Showed up with my daughter for breakfast. No one waiting besides us. Told we would have to wait 5 – 10 minutes– no tables or booths available. There were 3 open, clean booths. Another party(4) came in a few minutes after us and were shown right to one of the booths. I asked why we couldn’t sit there and was told they were held for 3 or more and we would have to wait. I said that’s not right, especially with no one else waiting. Hostess just said sorry. I told her we were leaving then. We left and went to Panera across the parking lot. This is what happens to businesses who think their offering is so good– they get complacent. Too bad– the food was good there. Eggsperience has lost a 12-year customer and family

I’ve been a regular and have shook off the reviews on Unilocal but the last few times have really been lack-luster. In the crowded north-shore breakfast market they need to do better and show they care. I got my usual corned beef hash and my wife got a scrambler with onions/green peppers. The waiter was one of the newer guys(6 months) and just not very good. The food came out and the corned beef hash, which I love, was dry and a bit burnt. My wifes eggs looked awful. The onions where more like you’d find on a burger and the eggs dry and UN-appealing. We tried to say something but the waiter never check on us. The owner just was walking back and forth and you’d think as a regular would once in a while check on us. Really disappointed.

OK about sums it up. Burger was cooked as I asked but the pretzel bun was a little stale and fell apart. My wife’s breakfast was nice but overall it was just OK. No rush to go back.

What has happened to one of my favorite breakfast & lunch places? We went as a family of 7 this weekend for lunch. Ordered iced teas … no lemons(mind you the grocery store is next door). My husband ordered a hamburger. When the food was delivered to the table the waitress said«sorry sir, we are out of hamburgers.» We were shocked that we learned this as the food was coming to the table. My husband sat at lunch while we all ate and had nothing to eat. By the time he would have ordered something else, we would have all been finished. Lastly, our grandmother ordered a plain bagel not toasted. It took 15 minutes to get that to the table. Can’t imagine how long it would have taken if we asked for it toasted. Not sure if we’ll be back… maybe one more try?

Went to Eggsperience Café last Sunday and discovered they have a new menu! The menu is smaller in size and now offers gluten free entrees. They are offering several new dishes for patrons to try. Eggsperience has taken many traditional recipes and kicked them up a notch or two. I had the caramel apple french toast with pecans, delicious. Another thing which has changed for the better: when ordering a cup of coffee, they now leave you with a thermal coffee pot so you can refill your cup when you want and not look for a waiter. The service is consistent, friendly and fast. Summer is a great time to visit Eggsperience, they offer outdoor dining in a dog friendly environment.

I really wish I loved this place since I’ve always heard good reviews. I’m hoping it was just that day when the food I had wasn’t great. But when I received my skillet the potatoes were all burnt and the whole dish just tasted bitter. It wasn’t busy when we went so I’m not sure how it could be burnt so badly. On the other hand, my friend ordered an omelette and said it was delicious. I’ll try coming again and see how it tastes. As for now, it’s only 3 stars.

I love to review breakfast places. It’s by far my favorite meal of the day, when I get a chance to enjoy it. But, on a Sunday, it’s a family tradition to go out for morning brunch. I’ve frequented this establishment often, and I had the opportunity to have breakfast and lunch. They are both excellent. Eggs Benedict is hands down the best in town. The skillets are fantastic and the pancakes are big and fluffy. And the waffle… well let’s just say yummmmm! The teas are steeped nicely and the water is served with a lemon! Excellent place to bring the family, but get there early enough or you will have a wait.

Although their Belgium waffle was good, the scrambled eggs I ordered were really bland and seemed a little burnt I ended up taking two bites of it and putting it aside. Hash browns were okay and service wasn’t bad.

Eggsperience is pretty good and I always leave full. Their Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice is really good. I usually order the Chorizo Omelette. It’s really big and can fill you up if you stick just to that. I also get the Lox Bagel on the side. It would be nice if there were a little bit more Lox and they added their own cream cheese as opposed to giving you a little container of Philadelphia but oh well. Conveniently located in Bannockburn Green and there isn’t really anywhere else that comes to mind in the general proximity that would be competition.

Our last two visits to Eggsperience have been disappointing marked by slow service, order problems, and inconsistent quality. Historically this has been one of our favorite breakfast and brunch spots so not sure what has changed. While waiting to pay the customer in front of me told the manager of the slow service they experienced which met with complete indifference. I shared with the same manager that our experience with the service was similar and that our order came out wrong. There was little interest to address or even acknowledge the issue. Here is hoping they find their«A» game before its to late.

I ate way too much and I have no regrets. It does get a little noisy, but that’s because its packed with individuals eating to their heart’s content. They have an extensive menu and a team of staff that prides themselves in efficiently seating and serving their customers. Even though my pumpkin pancakes didn’t look anything like the picture, it definitely tasted great! One would think that would be enough, but I went on to eat more. Next up– An order of avocado burger. Massive portion and visually appetizing, I was glad that I didn’t stop with just the pumpkin pancakes. All that was less the 20 dollars. Oh yes, it was a steal!

I never would have believed that I would have to write a review like this on the North Shore. My son and I went here because of all of the wonderful breakfasts he has had there. We will not be returning. We went in and the hostess took our information and set us up at a booth right by the door, across from her desk. We sat down and decided to order the fresh juice, which was delightful, by the way. The server took our order and grabbed the coffee mugs before we could say anything(we had thought of coffee), but in retrospect it was a good idea as we ended up having our coffee at the adjacent Newport Coffee House, which I feel is one of the best coffee houses around. We were surprised, but no big deal. Then, as we were waiting for our order, I spied an insect on the divider between the booths. I asked my son to turn around to see if my suspicions were correct and sure enough, it was a quite slow-moving cockroach. He flicked it to the ground and I got up and smashed it. We then looked between the booth and the window and saw lots of dirt accompanied by a good amount of alimentary detritus. I then went to the hostess, explained our situation, and she looked quite sheepish and said that she would talk to someone. She never did, to my knowledge. I got the impression that there really was no one to talk to. Our food came, we ate, but I was disappointed at the pecan and apple pancakes. The pancakes were good but the apples were supposed to be in a caramelized sauce. As it turns out, it was more like a warmed up Karo sauce with some half-cooked apples(still hard) and chopped pecans. I explained the roach issue with the server as well as the pancake issue and she was a bit taken aback. The hostess came over to us after we received the check to say, «I am sorry.» I understand that cockroaches are unfortunately a problem in just about every restaurant. I understand that things like this can happen. I do not understand the blasé attitude and the lack of doing something to make us feel a little better. Shame on the Eggsperience people for leaving a hostess in a situation where either she did not feel she could talk to her boss, where there was a manager who did not have the smarts to deal with an unpleasant situation, or where there just was no manager on hand. No matter what, we are no longer going there. It is always a loss when there is no breakfast place around, but hey, we have Kevin’s Place!

I have always liked the Weight Watchers wrap. It is made with egg whites and has tons of vegetables and lower fat cheese. I always have fruit with it. I count it as 7 points on my weight watchers diet. Once in a while I will have eggs over easy, bacon and splurge on hashbrowns instead of fruit. I have the whole wheat bread with a bit of butter. The service is great, efficient and fast. The owner is nice, and wants to make sure your experience(get it) is good. The Eleni egg omelette is really good and so filling. Can never finish the whole thing.

I’ve been to a different Eggsperience location, so I pretty much knew what to expect, and was gladly, not disappointed! We came in with a group of 8 adults and 2 children on Memorial Day for breakfast around 9:30.(yes, we were able to make a reservation!) We were given coffee and water right away, and I love that they leave carafes and pitchers on the table. The menu is rather large, but easy for anyone from a health nut to a gluttonous you know what can find something to indulge in. We had a variety of things on the table between all of us, French toast, scramblers, skillets, benedicts, and omelettes. Everything looked delicious, even my boyfriend’s French toast covered in bananas(which I’m allergic to.) I had the chorizo omelette, which comes stuffed with chorizo, tomatoes, onions, cheese and jalapenos. It also comes with a side of sour cream and salsa. It was a huge portion, I’m glad I opted for sliced tomatoes instead of hash browns. The flavors were great… just enough spice, and the filling was evenly distributed through the omelette. Our server didn’t have a problem with splitting the check, which I also appreciated.

Went again today and built my own skillet with Avocado, Bacon, Sausage, Mozzarella cheese and scrambled eggs. Beyond filling and so tasty. Awesome customer service as always. Will be visiting again soon.

This place is awesome. I love the casual atmosphere and fusion of style breakfast. I don’t feel that is over priced like some other reviewers I think it’s justifiably affordable. The portions where generous the service was just great. My favorite part is to see how energetic and friendly the stuff was. I I definitely recommend this place

Perfectly satisfying, consistent just like the last time and you bet I got that same Mediterranean omelet — you know the one that’s as big as my plate. I had family in town, and I was thrilled to bring everyone here for a meal. My kiddos split the Berry Berry pancakes with granola and a side of bacon. The pancakes were ginormous and topped with whipped cream(I know bad mom). I split the omelet with my hubby and added cheese to my hashbrowns and he got toast. Oh my was it completely loaded with veggies(spinach, tomatoes, feta cheese, and kalamata olives and a huge portion of yummy hashbrowns I almost didn’t want to share. I tried the fresh squeezed orange juice, and it was really like one of those commercials where you imagine the straw going right into the orange — fresh and tasty. My brother and his wife split an omelet and got the pancakes as a side. She ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was better than the Sbux kind, smooth as a whip. She ended up taking home a bag of their own beans. I imagine our bill probably came to close to $ 50 for six people, which is a steal. The service was fantastic(just like before) and the restaurant was completely full, and the regular coffee rocks here. What’s not to love?

After many weeks of waiting, I was finally able to indulge a craving for something with syrup. Although I ended up ordering a french toast meal that included cream cheese frosting and strawberries, so I guess I never got my syrup. But the real point here was the pancake/waffle/french toast, so I will say mission accomplished. It was good — I won’t say it was stellar, but as I’ve observed before, I have a really really broad range of 3 star for breakfast places. I feel like it’s so hard to distinguish yourself that it’s difficult to move out of the«it was fine» range. The toast had a nice crispy outside and tender inside, and the cream cheese icing… well, need I say more. Price was reasonable, service was friendly — all in all, a good place, but realistically one of many kind of run of the mill breakfast locations.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I adore both sweet and savory opportunities and typically pour over the menu in search of both. Thus, I settled on the strawberry crepes and turkey sausage during my eggcellent Eggsperience visit with Angela S. Inside, Eggsperience is a typical clean cut b-fast establishment. Clean booths, Dum Dums at the counter(seems to be a requisite thing in the Chi burbs), sprawling menu and free WiFi! Our server was sweet and to the point — just the way I prefer during a meeting time. As for the food, the crepes were standard but tasty — three flufftastic envelopes filled with fresh strawberries with a light dusting of powdered sugar. Nothing over the top, but nicely done. Turkey sausage fared the same. As for the standout — the coffee! And this is coming from someone who doesn’t drink too much java. Both varieties, regular and unleaded(decaf), are 100% organic and 100% tasty. I was super impressed. I had a lovely Eggsperience overall.
