First time to a LongHorn’s and very impressed. Flo’s Filet, medium-rare — amazing texture! Was so smooth, almost melt in your mouth, buttery. Cooked as it should be. Sides: brocolli and twice baked potato. The potato was the lease exciting part of my meal. Wish I had ordered mashed. Also ordered calamari and spicy wings(not spicey, but good flavor) as apps — good starter options. Restaurant was clean and service was good.

Excellent lunch! My wife had the filet mignon; I had the ribeye. We both had fries and salad. Everything cooked to perfection. The salad was outstanding; lots of variety and crispy. Love that special touch; small loaf of freshly baked bread. Awesome. Service was also great. We shall return again and again. We really like the western décor.

There is a reason this place is always completely packed. The food is amazing!!! Even though it is a chain, it’s definitely one of the best restaurants in the Bangor area by far, at least as far as steakhouses go. We have eaten here many times and never once have we had a bad meal or bad service. My husband and I just went this past Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed at all. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and all of the food came out steaming hot and fresh. Even the bread they brought out while we were waiting for our appetizers was piping hot. If you plan on getting an appetizer, I HIGHLY recommend trying the pub pretzels with beer cheese. It’s AMAZING!!! I think it’s a fairly new item on their menu because I don’t recall seeing it before. I will absolutely be ordering that again on our next visit! As far as the service at Longhorn, it has always been top notch. The wait staff has always been great and they have always stayed right on top of our drink refills and checking up on us to see if we need anything. In fact, the waitress we had this weekend brought us a huge free hot fudge sundae after our dinner once she found out that we were celebrating our anniversary, although we had a pretty hard time eating it because we were so full!!! One tip: Because Longhorn is so awesome, they usually have a pretty long wait time to get in, especially on the weekends. However, if you call ahead, that will usually cut your wait time in about half. Had we not called ahead, we would have been waiting between 30 and 45 minutes to be seated, but because we did the call ahead seating, we only had to wait about 10 – 15 minutes to be seated. Just writing this review has made me hungry and want to go back to Longhorn! I think I’ll tell my husband that we need to go again next weekend!

Longhorn Steakhouse is the best steakhouse in the Bangor area. It may be a chain restaurant, but the flavors are incredible. I started off my meal with the Wild-West Shrimp appetizer, which was the best fried shrimp I have ever tasted. It has a little kick to it, and it is perfectly fried and seasoned. I believe it came with a ranch dip. For my main course I had a chicken tender meal. It came with about 8 giant pieces of fried tenders, and I chose to get fries and mac n cheese with it. The fried chicken was some of the best I have ever eaten, and the mac n cheese was heavenly. On another note, the service was fine, the atmosphere was great, but the food was the best part. Everyone should try this place out at some point. Food 10⁄10 Atmosphere 9⁄10 Service 7⁄10

I give it 3 stars because my server was wonderful ! I asked her what I should get and she made great recommendations. She never let my water get empty and chatted with me about where I was from. The Mac and cheese was pretty darn good and the shrimp add on she told me to try out shown the steak . Being from Texas maybe I just get better beef all the time ??? But last night I has a very good steak at the Hilton from room service here in Bangor . I just think they need better steak at the steakhouse if that makes sense . She also told me about the lemon blueberry cake. I took it to go and just had a few bites … It’s better then the steak lol The food is 2 stars at best

We decided to visit again after a wonderful meal a couple of weeks ago. We checked online to see if they were still doing the 2 for $ 30 deal. Unfortunately when we got here we were told that was no longer going on and the website was wrong. It wasn’t a huge deal so we ordered the mussels appetizer and 2 steaks. I thought the mussels tasted fishy but Tim couldn’t taste it so he enjoyed them. We then got our steaks. Tim’s was a perfect medium rare while mine was well done(although I ordered medium rare as well). The waiter offered to take it back and get me another one which was great but obviously with the need to cook it took 20 minutes. It was cooked to the correct temp the second time. We were a little surprised that we then paid full price for the entire meal. Jason was a great server, very nice.

Tried this place once, and never again. I always have the expectation that a steakhouse can cook a steak as ordered, even though it rarely happens. Longhorn failed with this as well. I ordered a steak cooked medium, it was well done. Why didn’t I send it back? Our waitress never came back to check how our steaks were cooked, let alone how the rest of the meal was going. She did come back about 15 minutes after we’d finished eating, and at that point I just moved on to dessert. Bad move on my part. My husband and I got the fried cheesecake, and both of us threw up all that night and the next day. My husband, who works in the restaurant industry, said they may have left it out of the cooler too long, then cooked and served. Never, ever, again will I go back here. Bad food and service, I usually give a place a second chance, but food poisoning is where I draw the line.

Had the rib eye. Steak was cooked to order, but was very fatty. Taste was acceptable. Asked for loaded baked potato, got butter and sour cream only. Otherwise, the potato and salad, though unexceptional were good. Service was fast and friendly. Perhaps, on balance, a little over priced for what was received.

My lady and I have made this a stop as we commute to Canada and back to Boston. We like to eat at the bar and enjoy the company of friendly bartender ladies. the food is very good I enjoy the steaks and ribs but my lady likes the salmon and trout. They have a good mix of beer on tap. good value for the money

Normally I wouldn’t touch a chain with a 10 foot pole — after all, that is what Unilocal is for, right? Tap into the local places. But this place won me over in a big way. Goes beyond steakhouse fare — I tried the trout, though overbuttered, it was delicious and super fresh. Grilled asparagus also excellent. Service super friendly and not pushy/upselling, which is nice.

Great food! Far better food than I expected for a chain. Great steak for the price. Our waitress Victoria was awesome! She was very attentive to our needs.

The food-awesome! The service-awesome! The atmosphere-awesome! For a chain, they got it right. If I lived around here, I’d be back often. Victoria was a great waitress.

Longhorn is a higher end steak house and the décor and food reflect it. The cuts of meat are tender and delicious and cooked to exactly your specifications. This is a great place to have a meal with a group of friends, but probably not the best choice if you have lots of young children. There is a full bar in the center of the restaurant as well as ample seating areas on both sides. You can choose between a booth and a table, or put several tables together for a larger group. * Please note: The portions are quite large! So if you aren’t that hungry, don’t order an appetizer or you won’t be able to finish your meal. Also, the desserts are simply ENORMOUS and are practically impossible to finish, even when sharing one among multiple people. So this is a great place to go and just have dessert if you ate several hours ago. All in all, this is probably one of the top places to get a great steak in the Bangor/Brewer area.
