Bella Hair Studio and Day Spa

Jenny is great! She trimmed and colored my hair and helped me transition back to my natural color. She was very friendly but relaxed. Even though I was passing through town, she gave me the same attention and service as a regular. Fun atmosphere.

I just got my hair cut by Abby. She is super awesome and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The price was great, the place was cool, and I’ll be going back next time I need a haircut.

I am new in the area and looking for a professional hair dresser, through a long process and a great deal of research I ended up booking an appointment at Bellas with Jenny.
Jenny was so friendly and easy to talk to, I felt like she had been doing my hair for years, she went beyond my expectations, I loved her confidence and couldn’t believe she nailed my color formula just by looking at my hair, we called my stylist in Florida and confirmed it. WOW, so impressive. The staff are all so friendly you really feel like part of their family. I loved the relaxed easy to be there in that fun atmosphere. I look forward to my next appointment with Jenny. I don’t believe I would hesitate to go to any staff member there they all seem to be very good and I don’t believe you would be disappointed. The haircut I got here was not good at all. The stylist didn’t pay attention to what I was asking for and gave me a quick trim instead of a change in style. While she cut my hair she chatted with other staff instead of focusing on my hair. I will not go back.

I had the worst haircut in my life at this place. Stacey was my hair stylist. Extremely inexperienced and unprofessional. She did not even come close to doing what I asked. She cut my bangs so bad I went straight to another salon to try and salvage. I am on haircut number 3 to fix them. She didn’t touch the length of my hair. I was so mad I had to get out of there before she did anymore damage. I can’t speak for the rest of the staff as Jen was killing it on prom do’s. A big mistake to let Stacey out from behind the counter!

I live in downtown Bangor and have always been intrigued by this salon when I walk past, so I gave it a shot. Jenny was my stylist and this girl knows how to work fast (I would describe the overall experience as a whirlwind). I think I was done in less than ten minutes – cut/​dry/​style that is – and, I have to say, I was nervous the whole time, as most are the first time with a new stylist (but also because I was paying $ 25 when I usually pay $ 50 and she was cruising).
In the end, I love my new do and it’s indicative of the façade that you need to pay more to get more.
I was looking for more texture in my cut and wanted something playful. I showed Jenny a picture and she immediately went to work. She was not timid about chopping into my hair, as some stylists can be when it comes to layers (and then they don’t do enough). I was especially happy about how she framed my bangs and I’m particularly picky about that. I only know one other girl in CO that does them the way I like.
As a girl who scouts the best salons wherever she lives no matter the price (CA, WI, & CO) and as someone who has been to other salons in Bangor/​Brewer – I endorse Bella. My only concern was that as a first timer in the salon there wasn’t a strong sense of welcome and I also had to wait 10 – 15 minutes before Jenny was ready for me. However, this place isn’t pretentious and there’s something to be said about that. Love the cut and can’t beat the value.

Bella is a fantastic salon and I continue to get compliments all the time on my hair cut. I keep coming back to Jenny for haircuts, styling help for a big event, anything I need. I recommend it to people all the time. Jenny worked with my hair to figure out what would work best for me, and she knocked it out of the park!
