The oldest Polish Catholic church in Texas. The second oldest Polish Catholic church in the United States. The stained glass was hauled by wagon from a port on the Gulf and installed by determined farmers. The inside is breathtaking even if the pews are narrow and your knees will bang the people in front of you. Friendly church with a neat old cemetery outside the doors. The pastor is from Poland and when I was there said«if you’re a man, you will be here at 8 am next Saturday to clean up the cemetery. It doesn’t get done by itself gentlemen. Bring mowers, clippers, weed wackers, gloves. etc etc. and we can be done by noon.» HAHA
