Typical AMERICAN Diner that does things right from menu, service and good hot food made fresh. Today will be pancakes and eggs small OJ and tall glass of cold milk.

The review is for the Santa Fe bison burger, the crab and corn chowder, and shrimp papperdelle pasta. The wait took about 5 minutes, ordering was swift and food did take about 20 minutes but it was crowded. The food is excellent for airport food, and while it’s a lot more expensive than McDonald’s, the food was worth it. The Santa Fe bison burger was juicy and flavorful, the chowder wasn’t overly salty like many other places that serve chowder in this city, and the pasta was done well. Service was good, drinks and refills flowed without a need to ask for them. If you don’t mind spending more for a better dining experience than the BWI food court, this would be a good choice.

The host was sweet. The waitress wasn’t rude but she wasn’t really friendly… Maybe am is too early. This isn’t why they get two starts the two starts are for the Host. They get 0 starts on the crap breakfast I had which was a 3 egg scrambler. How do you scramble egg beaters so hard that they turn brown!?! Was NOT worth my $ 12! When I land in Chicago, I’ll enjoy the real food

Hostess ignored people. Waited at least 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. Lots of empty seats. Hostess was rude and bothered to have to do her job. My waiter Justin was ok. Had to ask for silverware which hostess was supposed to get. However overall way to slow for an airport. Food was good quality and priced fairly for an airport. Management needs to look at its staff to address customer service, attitude, and efficency.

The food here was fantastic. The service was horrible. Our server was a nice guy, he just couldn’t get it together. I sat down and ordered a shake right away. He brought out our waters and we ordered our food. I also asked for a bag of ice I could put on my sore hand and he said no problem. Our food came out and I still didn’t have my shake or the ice. When I asked him about the shake he said she(the girl making them) had been slammed and he would check on mine. At that point it seemed obvious that he forgot to put in my order. In the meantime, I took ice out of my water and put it into one of my ziplock travel bags. When I finished eating I walked up to the front and asked to speak with a manager. The hostess went in the back to find him and never came back. After about 5 min I went over to where the girl was making shakes to ask if she had my order. She was yelling at a server that she had put his order on the counter and it wasn’t her fault if someone else took it. I stood there for several minutes and she never even turned around to look at me. Her machine was loud so she didn’t hear me try to get her attention. So I walked back to the kitchen doorway and asked someone wearing a different colored shirt if she was a manager. She said no but what could she help me with. I told her it had been well over 45 min since I ordered my shake and I’m done with my meal-and I’ve asked to speak with a manager but he is nowhere to be found. She said she would check on it. I went back to my table and my shake was delivered a few minutes later with an apology and I was told it would be taken off my check. A few minutes later the manager came by and apologized and said he took an additional 20% off my check. When he left my table he went to another table and told them the same thing. So in the end they basically made it right, but the experience was so tainted by the bad service I can’t give them more than 2 stars. Had it not been for the good food they would only get 1 star from me.

Great food. Great to see local at airports. Service was fast. Kari gave great customer service. I had the bison meatloaf, which was amazing. I also had a loose cannon IPA, delicious as well. They source foods locally as much as possible.

Took a long time to be seated. It wasn’t busy the person just took their sweet time to seat people. That doesn’t work so well for an airport. People have places to be! I ordered a chicken Cesar salad. My wife ordered the hearty breakfast and my mother in law ordered pancakes. She said her pancakes were good. My wife only like the bacon on her plate. The eggs had about 10lbs of cheese in them. My salad was ok. Nothing special. I did like the fact it had diced tomatoes in it. Was not worth $ 13 though. Really wanted to like it. All in all long wait for an over priced(yes I know it is in an airport) joint.

If you want to wait longer to be sat here than you did in the TSA line, by all means, eat here. Getting tired of the host to seat me, I walked over to the counter only to find out that every place hadn’t been cleaned. Frustrated I left and went down the way to eat. I have been here(and eaten) only once. I came back to give it another try due to my first experience. Well so much for that… the first time was not so great. Food is pretty bland and service isnt all that hot either… I get it, this is an airport restaurant… turn over is priority. People want to sit, order, eat, pay and then leave pretty quickly. To have lines waiting to be sat is near sighted and ridiculous and to top that off with dirty tables… better off going somewhere else, they dont care.

Second time eating here(both times at bar). Man, I can’t believe how good the food was and the prices too. Meatloaf. Crab cakes. Salmon Sliders. Local craft beer on draft! So much better than the restaurant at other end of the food court. Plus the service was top notch. Will dine here again no doubt. You like Brussel Sprouts? They have ‘em!!!

Wow! Airport food is improving! I didn’t expect such big taste. I am a Huevos Rancheros fan. I try them about anywhere I go. The Bison Huevos Rancheros at the Silver Diner are over the top! If I am in BWI for breakfast I will be having these again! Had to knock one star off due to poor service.

We had a stop over and had dinner here. Service friendly pleasant attentive. I had a bluecheese burger. They substituted mashed potatoes because the fries are cooked in the same oil as the fish which I have an allergy. It was cooked just as I ordered. My friend had a local dark ale that was poured perfectly and was delicious. We will eat here again on our next stopover.

Popped in because I was craving a yummy burger… and what’s a burger without bacon!!! LOL :) I had a least an hour before my flight started to board and the service and staff did more than enough to accommodate my time. Because I can’t usually eat a whole burger, I tried the cheeseburger sliders with bacon and sweet onions… Yummmmmmmmmmm! They were nice and hot and all around great. Not over cooked and not too greasy. They did forget my bacon at first, but after I reminded them they quickly corrected the mistake. The shoestring frence fries were also yummy as well. Again, great customer service and a great place to get in and out in a a timely manner. Eat up!

Air travel is so miserable. Restaurants like this don’t help. My chicken sausage was undercooked/pink so I did not eat it. My egg whites were overdone. My toast was overdone. The coffee was meh. My stool was wobbly. Just about everything sucked but at least the servers were pleasant. All in all, nearly 20 bucks wasted on a shit breakfast.

Classic 50’s diner, but a tad more upscale. Farm-to-table focused menu with plenty of interesting Vegetarian(they call it «Flexitarian») and Gluten-Free choices. Love the juxtaposition of USB charging ports next to the table-side jukebox. Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was hot and tasty. One of the better options at BWI airport.

Not world-class cuisine by any means. But, for an airport, this is a fantastic place to sit comfortably and recharge with some above-decent food. There are juke boxes at the table. My son loved playing music. Lots of booths, very comfortable place to wait for a flight. The menu is very diverse. The food is above-decent. We had Burger Sliders. They were regular burgers, very fun presentation. Great french fries. We also tried the Bruschetta. It was edible. Not fancy-shmancy. But, who would have thought that they would have Bruschetta anyway? I was shocked. It is brought out on a platter, you build your own Bruschetta. Cute, little place. Good food. I would definitely go again and recommend it.

Not a bad option when at BWI. Good selection and I ordered from the«to go» counter. They have plenty of sit-down options but opted to eat at my gate. Good value compared to other options at the Airport.

If you care about food quality and local sourcing, Silver Diner is one of the best options available at BWI. Face it, when you’re in an airport, your meal options are severely limited. Fortunately, SD offers organic and local food options including hormone– and antibiotic-free meat. The crispy fried Brussels sprouts with apricots and goat cheese are fantastic. It’s a flavorful combination that is a welcome surprise from an airport restaurant. Service has been mostly quick and efficiently friendly with one minor exception. Rock on, Silver Diner.

My choice of seating and chose counter-top service. My server was quick and prompt, and for one of the first customers of the morning my food came out pretty quickly. I had a skillet breakfast, misnomer as it isn’t cooked in the skillet it is served in(fake skillet), so don’t expect the chared goodness you would get if it was really cooked in a skillet. The food was decent, but for a dish that is advertised as 3 eggs… there is no way unless they were pigeons or dove eggs… lol. also suppose to be bacon and sausage… but don’t expect a full serving of meat as there were a few pieces but not enough to make a single sausage link or slice of bacon. The dish was mostly potatoes. Decent coffee with a free refill. Definitely not the worst airport breakfast I’ve had, and far better than McDonald’s.

Decent place in an airport. Food comes out slow though, so if you’re in a hurry, than don’t eat here. The food was just average or below. My baja fish tacos were not very good. The salad had too much dressing and was overly sweet. The burger was okay. Nothing special. Our waiter John was super nice and attentive.

Really not bad for airport food. I ordered a big breakfast as I had a long wait before my flight. It was a relaxing place to stop and eat and put down several cups of pretty good coffee. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar and was happily impressed they ad real cheddar instead of the usual fake wax tasting cheese, pancakes, sausage and nitrate free bacon(another plus). Wait staff was friendly and attentive. I paid quite a bit more than I would have a one of the fast food places in the airport, but I appreciated having a sit down meal in a relaxing, cute 50s decorated restaurant.
