Ordered the grilled shrimp pita wrap thanks to a recommendation from my sister. It was just enough of everything to make delicious. I usually don’t like raw onions but these were cut to the perfect size and had the right balance of tomatoes. Presentation was spot on — the wraps were held in aluminum foil so it was easy hold and not slopped together. Only issue was the use of styrofoam container for takeout, they’re terrible for the environment.

Excellent! Fast, clean and great service. Got the gyro meat platter with Greek Fries, and my friend got the lamb kabob with roasted potatoes. Platters include 2 sides and a greek salad, whcih was delicious and a decent size. Nice change from the«chain» joints surrounding it. A «go to» if your shopping at Canton Crossing!

Three words– Spicy Feta Dip! It was great! Not like the Spicy Feta at Cava Mezze, but still wonderful. I could eat a vat of it! I also had the Greek Salad with chicken. It was just as good as I remember getting from the original Samos in Greektown.

Stopped here on Saturday with my husband for a quick bite to eat and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place! **Great for dogs** First things first, the food was delicious! We had a pork pita wrap, a gyro salad, and the Melitzanosalata. We absolutely inhaled the melitzanosalata which I highly recommend you try if you like eggplant. The pita wedges it comes with have been pan fried in butter so be aware of this if you’re sensitive to fried foods. It comes with veggies so perhaps you could just ask for more veggies to be added to the plate. I truly enjoyed my salad and I liked that the dressing wasn’t heavy so the vegetables were the star of the salad. They give you a good portion of meat on here if you opt for that. We had to take some of it home and the vegetables remained crisp the next day even though I had already poured dressing on them. Next up, the atmosphere. This is such a nice casual café. You order at the window and they bring the food to your table. Everything came out quickly and we were left to enjoy our meal in peace. We had our dog with us so we sat outside and it was so lovely. There were several other tables out there and people walking around the square which just leads to a nice atmosphere overall. We will definitely be back.

I am so surprised that place has got 4 stars. I certainly hope there are better Greek restaurants in Baltimore. I have tried multiple things on the menu and they have all failed to meet the expectations. 1. Hummus– lacks flavor, on the sweeter side, worst hummus I have ever had without a doubt. Almost makes me wanna throw up. 2. Pita bread– decent but is loaded with butter and not worth the calories 3. Salad– nothing extraordinary, the dressing is almost a combination of southwest and Caesar dressing. 4. Over-priced for the quality of food. I wouldn’t go there even if it was any cheaper 5. Service– only good thing about this restaurant

This is a great place to go to if you live or work in the area. I just wish they had one in the area where I live. I love the Neptune salad, which is a Greek salad with shrimp. My only gripe is that I wish they gave you more than 3 shrimp. Otherwise, it’s a great choice of your looking for a fast option.

I DON’T GETIT? Is it the convenience of being in Canton that people are raving over it? I have tried this place time and time again and I just cannot seem to get myself to like it. I try it, wait a couple of months, decide lets try it again, and then remember why I didn’t like it. The food is not very good quality greek food, I much prefer ordering Greek Town grill because I get more bang for my buck and the food is more authentic. This place just continues to be unappealing to me.

Great place for a quick bite to eat. Everything I’ve tried here is very tasty, in particular the chicken gyro platter, greek salad with chicken and the greek salad with gyro meat. The melitzanosalata dip is very good as well.

This is the«quick» «fast-food-like» branch of Samos Restaurant not too far away. This location though is located in the heart of Canton in the new Canton Crossing area. Embedded in a busy area with the likes of Harris Teeter, Target, Old Navy, and a host of other restaurants like On the Border, Red Robin, Pie 360, this place holds it’s own. It brings what everyone loves about Samos into a new casual, friendly, «quick» meal type of setting. The food is good, you wouldn’t expect anything less from Samos. The service is ok, seeing that you pick up your own food and drinks. The location reminds me of a Moby Dicks or Chipotle layout but it works. They have outside seating for hot/warmer days and since it’s at Canton, the hustle and bustle of the area is a nice addition to just sit and people-watch. If you order a platter, it automatically comes with a salad, so be prepared to be stuffed by the end. The portions are pretty much huge. However, everything is extremely flavorful and worth the trip over. Price-wise, it falls in line with the other Greek restaurants in the area and so the prices are to be expected. Overall, it’s a place I’ll likely keep coming to and it’s a place you should check out if you’re a fan of Greek Food.

Very disappointed to get the shrimp and haloumi and only have one tiny slice of cheese. Shan’t be going there again any time soon.

I really like the quick service and food preparation here. Honestly, I have never had to wait more then 2 – 3 minutes for my meal. It’s insanely awesome. I usually get a cup of their soups, which are served right to the brim with some saltines, and usually piping hot and well seasoned. I really adore their platters, and don’t be afraid of how HUGE the portion sizes are. Their products are always fresh it seems, and the salad dressing that comes with their greek salads are really delicious and homemade. They serve it at the original Samos in Greektown as well. This place is best for lunch and can get fairly busy, so don’t be surprised to have to wait in a line to order. You go right up to the front and order, they give you a number, and they will come to you with your food when it is ready. Drinks are self serve. Calamari is my favorite meal here. Their gyros are also quite delicious, as well as their pork skewers. I really love their fresh greek salads as well. The last time I was here, I ordered Baklava, which was incredibly sweet and sticky and gooey. I would recommend it be ordered for dine-in only, because they toast/heat it up and drizzle a bunch of simple sugar glaze on it, which doesn’t come with take-out containers of the order. Bön appetit!

Why didn’t anyone tell me about Samos!!! This place is NOW officially theeee spot to grab a great gyro or pita when I’m in the mood for some Greek food! I enjoyed the gyro so much, that I will probably be in the mood for Greek more often! There were a few other options on the menu that I wanted to try, so I will be back to dine here with a friend! Of course I turned to my trusty Unilocal app to search for a quick bite nearby since I was in the mood to try something new. I actually dropped in for a late lunch around 230PM, so the lunch crowd was gone. I probably had about 30 minutes before I needed to be back, so I was hoping service would be prompt. And it was! I ordered the sliced gyro pita wrap, which comes stuffed with gyro meat, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. With that I ordered just a simple side of fries. I grabbed a table, they were clean with cute chairs and even some simple table décor, which added a nice touch. My order was out promptly and the food was plated nicely, the tomatoes and onions were super fresh, the fries were just like I like them, and everything was delicious. It was a quick lunch that did not disappoint! I’LLBEBACK!!! *in my terminator voice*

Decided to try something new for dinner, was in the area running earrands and wanted to check it out. I was glad I stopped in! The resturant was very clean with a modern desgin. The staff was friendly and their spead of service was extremely fast! I ordered the Souvlaki Platter, it comes with a greek salad, pita bread and a choice of a side. I got the rosted potoatoes. The salad was very good with huge chunks of feta chesse in it. The portion sizes where huge, however there was only one skewer of chicken. I found myselfing want more of than one skewer of checken and less of the side of potatoes. The potatoes were ok, a little to heavy on the oil in my opinion. In all the food was a very good price for the portion and tasted fine, just wish I had more chicken!

Gyro was good, but I wish the meat wasn’t sliced into thin long strips. I prefer to have chunks of gyro meat. The meat was a tad dry because of this. I would grade the gyro a 3 out of 5, but the baklava was a 5⁄5 and totally redeemed this place. The baklava was very fresh, moist, and oozing with honey. It is a pretty thick and substantial piece for $ 4. If I am in the area again, I would come here just for the baklava. This place is in the Canton Crossing shopping complex, so there’s a huge free parking lot.

Popped into Samos as a break from my usual at lunch. Packed as expected. Nevertheless the staff is pretty proficient and they get the orders out fast. My lunch order was their standard gyro and Greek fries. I’ve always been more than satisfied with their food and today was no different. My food was freshly prepared and hot after taking it back to my office. If Id offer any criticism it would be that things sometimes can be a little pricey. i.e. $ 15 salads. But that won’t deter any future visits. If you’re in the Canton area I definitely recommend Samos for casual Greek dining or lunch.

I enjoyed the shrimp gyro. It was delicious! I only wish there were more shrimp. The sweetened iced tea was good. Don’t forget to ask for a refill before you leave.

Pros: + Delicious food + Reasonable prices and great value + Fast, friendly service + Space is large and clean, with ample seating + Located next to grocery stores(e.g. Harris Teeter) and dessert shops(e.g. Yogi Castle) Came here for lunch with a friend on Wednesday. The ordering system works like a fast-food restaurant: you line up, order and pay, and you get a number. You take the number to your table, and they bring your food to you. When you’re finished, they also take your plates and trash away, which is really nice! The service is surprisingly fast — we got our food just minutes after ordering. I got a gyro platter, which consists mainly of gyro meat(lamb?), tzatziki, and soft pita, and comes with a side Greek salad and a choice of side(I got the Greek fries). I also got a rice pudding(with cinnamon) for dessert. The platter is $ 12.75, the individual salad is $ 5.75 and the Greek fries are $ 4.75, so essentially I was paying only $ 2.25 for the meat(same price as a fountain drink). All of the food was delicious. It all felt pretty healthy and not greasy at all. The quantity of food is *very* large, and I was already stuffed by the time I got to my dessert. The rice pudding is also very large, sweet, and provided a refreshing contrast to the gyro meat. The space was large and clean, and there was plenty of seating, even around the busy hour of noon. We didn’t have any trouble finding a table. The location is also great. There’s Yogi Castle, a frozen yogurt shop, right next door, and Harris Teeter and Target are right behind it, with ample parking.

After running a few errands in Canton, I was hungry and in the mood to grab something quick so I went over to Samos Greek Island Grill after I finished my errands at Target. Samos Greek Island Grill is the fast-casual version of Samos Restaurant in Greektown. I’ve heard plenty of great things about both spots, so I was excited to give the Canton spot a try and I had a slight Greek food craving for the past few days. When I was looking over the menu, I knew I needed to try the Spanakopita. It’s one of my favorite dishes and I knew this Greek establishment would do it justice. The spanakopita was stuffed with spinach, feta, and herbs then wrapped in filo. This was light and flaky without being greasy. Additionally, it wasn’t overly cheesy, the flavors in the spanakopita balanced together nicely. I also ordered one of the platters which came with a side of Greek Salad. The Greek salad was good and a nice addition to the meal, but there was nothing particularly noteworthy about this dish. My Grilled Chicken Platter however, was a completely different story. The chicken kebab was incredibly flavorful and tender. While the one kebab looks like it not may be enough food, with the two sides, it is more than plenty. The other side I chose were the greek fries. Greek fries are french fries topped with feta, lemon, and oregano. The fries had a touch more of lemon flavor than I would have preferred, but overall it was still a great addition to the dish. If you’re looking for a quick Greek food fix in Canton, Samos Greek Island Grill should surely satisfy your cravings.
