I was very displeased with the service I received while attending happy hour here. There was only one bartender who was clearly struggling. She was snappy and rude when I inquired about the taste of a particular drink I was interested in ordering. I would not expect this type of service at such a highly regarded establishment. I will NOT be coming again. Generally I patronize the Pikesville location(happy hour and dining, where customer service is wonderful!

This review is specifically for the service I received. The food is never the issue as it was absolutely perfect. I was given a check that was a reprint from 3 hours earlier that had some other party’s food on it along with my food. When I brought it to the attention of my waitress she said«oh yeah that’s from a previous party and your stuff is underneath and that’s everything you ordered. They paid for their stuff as you can see at the bottom of the check» Excuse me can I just get my check with what I ordered so I don’t have to look through a bill from some other party. I ask to speak with a manager and when I explain the situation to him he just brushes it off. Never have I received such horrid service from this place. I’m a little in shock from the service as I have never had an issue here. Oh well, if you eat here I hope you don’t get the same waitress I had.

We had our son’s rehearsal dinner at Ruth Chris Pier V. The entire event was flawless. From the moment I first contacted the restaurant and spoke to Laine Dyson, Director of Private Dining our family was given the highest level of customer service and professional guidance. After visiting several restaurants and speaking with managers of private dining In Baltimore It became clear that Laine had the expertise and Ruth Chris waterfront restaurant had the ambiance we needed. I strongly suggest Ruth Chris at Pier 5 and Laine Dyson as the place to have your event! The food was amazing and the guests were so impressed by the waterfront and beautiful room. Our rehearsal dinner was fun because the attention to detail paid by the bartenders and serving staff was impeccable.

Normally for Xmas eve dinner after church we go to the Annapolis or Water Street Ruth’s Chris. We called Thanksgiving weekend and they were all booked up. It didn’t help that we had 6 adults and 2 kids. I’ve yet to have a bad meal at any Ruth Chris. Seriously. I want my filet well done and that’s what they do. It’s perfect and juicy and makes my belly happy. And they have a kids menu! Who knew? Now, I’m not paying $ 15 for my kid to eat there until he’s older. We did share the creamed spinach which he ate like almost a cup of. The kid loves his creamed spinach and RC does it right. The service is, I think, what makes it worth the money at RC. Obviously the food is top quality and delicious but it’s the service that makes it all worthwhile. Our server was great. She was funny and immediately recognized that two kids late on xmas eve night were going to be a handful. She kept drinks refilled and snacks on the table. Plus, and this was the best part, when it came time for dessert instead of us having to buy two servings of ice cream we only had to buy one which she split into two dishes with different flavors. We didn’t even have to ask for that, she offered it! That’s what gets you bumped up to a much higher tip. We were seated in the other side of the restaurant, clearly the large party/family section, so it was okay that it was louder than RC normally is. Our kids are pretty well behaved for 2 and 3 but still… so it was also nice to be able to let them out into the hotel lobby to run off energy. Another great meal and memory at RC.

Omg, this place was so expensive but was so worth it. The steak melts in your mouth. That’s all that matters. Haha. I want to go back when I have enough money. lol

To tell you the truth, I didn’t want want like this restaurant or any other chain for that matter but I just can’t help it. Everything from start to finish was just too perfect. At our arrival, our hostess asked us if this was our first visit to Ruth’s Chris. When we said yes, her smile brightened and she said, «Then you are in for a treat!». I just love to go anywhere really but especially a restaurant and have this kind of enthusiasm within the ranks. It makes me happy but more than that, it shows that the staff is happy and who wants to eat in a place where everyone is underpaid and grumpy. Kudos Ruth’s Chris! On to the food. Do you know how many ways there are to mess up a Martini or a Cosmo? Well, apparently they don’t either. Perfect from the first sip to the last. We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. So outstanding that I think I’m ruined for oysters anywhere else! We’ve had them is at least a dozen other places but I just can’t get those 6 out of my head. Damn. From there we moved on a perfect plate of beef carpaccio, capers, olive oil, shaved provolone and arugula. Awesome. Two of my favorite steak and the most difficult for most steakhouses we’ve been to and get tender are bone in rib eye and strip steak. My rib eye was, well, the only word that comes to mind is exquisite. Melt in my mouth exquisitely perfect. Pair that perfect steak with spinach au gratin and a baked potato. If you go, and you should, order the Bananas Foster. Made table side, complete with flambé‘. Both delicious and spectacular!

Absolutely amazing food! Each bite was worth it’s weight in gold. Had the 16oz. Ribeye w/Lobster Mac & cheese and asparagus. Raw oysters as the appetizer. A truly excellent birthday dinner. Our waitress Kelly was just as good as the food. Thanks for a great birthday dinner!

This was the only bad meal we had while in Baltimore. I ordered scallops expecting large melt in your mouth scallops, I got 5 very small tough scallops which was not as fresh as I had hoped. My husband ordered the filet which had a peppery spicy crust which over powered the steak. The lobster in the lobster bisque soup was about a tablespoon of shredded lobster — it was almost embarrassing having it in the bowl to see before the soup was poured over it & the flavor was very bland. And last, we ordered banana foster. The bananas were cooked to mush, then poured over the ice cream; the waiter then realized he forgot the spoons — a bowl of soupy mush when he got back with spoons. I would have been disappointed if this meal was $ 75, let alone $ 175. Would not go back…

I tried the H/H at Ruth’s Chris Steak house, overall i was a little disappointed. I ordered the burger which i suggested medium, came out well done and burnt, i just ate it, didnt have time to quibble. I ordered 3 drinks the blueberry mojito-wack, margarita-ok, and the promegranate martini-that was the best tho i dont drink martini’s in general. I will go there again since the view is spectacular, i just wont order the items that i wasnt satisfied with.

The wait was well worth it. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We arrived late but had to wait 20 minutes for a table to open up. We were then seated and we had a lovely view of the parking lot. This was ok because we were people watching and enjoying our conversation The waiter came and introduced himself and we started with drinks. I was hungry so I ordered more food than usual. I had the Cowboys Ribeye at $ 55 weight 20 ounces. My wife had the smaller Ribeye 18 ounces at $ 49. Both were cooked spot on to our order. It had been about 5 years since I last dined here. Everything was spot on. I will return here soon.

I attended a 50th birthday party at this location. I must say I was very impressed. The outdoor deck over looking the water was very nice and inviting. The staff were friendly and professional. The past heavy hors d’oeuvres were plentiful and tasty. The cocktail prices were not too bad. Parking is quiet difficult at this location due to it’s proximity to the pier six concert venue. Overall great time and Ruth Chris put on a great event.

What an experience! By far the best steak I had in my life, well worth the price. Nothing was lacking, the crab meat appetizer was on POINT! The sides were great and the dessert was wonderful.

I have been to many Ruth’s Chris all over the country. In fact I think I could tell the story of the history of this place by now. Despite being a higher end establishment I have encountered a few Ruth’s Chris that fell far from expectations but this particular one at Eastern Ave went beyond expectations and did the franchise proud. I of course ordered a steak and it was the cowboy ribeye along with potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach, and oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. Yeah that seems like aplenty but I had a guest with me so don’t judge me. The oysters were cooked very good but coming from the Gulf Coast I expected more than six with your order but this could have been a good thing because the side items were huge and more than filling. The only worry I had was if I was going to be able to eat it all. The steak was cooked perfectly to the medium I requested and required no additional seasoning or even steak sauce or ketchup for those unusual people that actually use ketchup on steak. The drinks were also well made as I had the mojito de castro and tried the port of Manhattan. Both drinks were right on target. I am not a dessert person but I manged to save some room for an excellent crème brûlée. When you go to this establishment the one thing I always get is great service. I was lucky to have David as our host and he was great. Looking forward to my next trip there as I might get a bit crazy and try a non steak entrée. Who am I kidding it is a steakhouse and I know what I will be dining on.

An awesome evening enjoying oysters Rockefeller for the first time. The waiter David is a star in his own right; check him out in the Netflix series House of Cards filmed locally. He went above and beyond with his service. I was totally pleased with my spicy salmon with salt and pepper shrimp. For side dishes, I had the creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. The portions are hearty and are enough to share. Dessert didn’t disappoint either. The crème brûlée with berries is the stuff food porn is made of.

I don’t eat steak so this review is for the spicy salmon and shrimp dinner. The presentation of the meal was beautiful, however, the salmon did not taste as fresh as I would have expected for this caliber of restaurant. I ate most of it because I was starving but I really think they could do better with quality. We also got the lobster mac and cheese which was rather bland and the asparagus that was over cooked and too squishy to eat. The hollandaise sauce tasted more like mayonnaise and like it had been sitting out under a hot lamp all day. I also had the chop salad which was tasty but once again the lettuce was not as fresh as I would have expected. I was also surprised that this location was a very noisy dining experience. They have the kitchen open to seating and the cooks were very loud banging around pots and pans. Overall I’m pretty disappointed at how Ruth’s Chris has declined in quality over the years. I doubt I’ll go back to this particular location because of the mediocre food and the distraction of how loud the kitchen made this place.

Went for happy hour with my BFF. I got the crab blt and she got the cheeseburger. We shares the lobster bites. I likes my crab blt but was too full after the complimentary bread and lobster bites. The lobster bites were my favorite. For 9 bucks a dish, I thoroughly enjoyed my happy hour experience and will return. The atmosphere was romantic and would be great for a date. My BFF and I sat in the lounge and the staff was superb with attentiveness. We didn’t get any alcoholic drinks but they had some good choices for 7 bucks. My BFF really enjoyed her burger and finished every bit.

Pros: Cool location at the harbor, there’s a deck outside so you get a good view of the harbor, and some of the wait staff are friendly. The food is good and consistent with the Ruth’s Chris quality. Cons: Unfoetunately, there were too many to list. We recently had a sully waiter who just seemed pained to be at work. Our party tried to break the ice and ask about his night but he said he was at work so didn’t have to enjoy himself and have fun. Also, there’s a freekin 50 cent surcharge for getting a whiskey or scotch neat. He said it’s because without ice you get a smidge extra alcohol. :-| Since they’re that cheap and stingy with the pours, that surcharge should be hidden. It’s not the cost, it’s the principle. Besides, enjoying a whiskey or scotch neat should never be punished. Pfft! A few other negative things occurred including the fact that as he asked if it was anyone’s first time, and when one person said yes, he didn’t even welcome her, or thanks for joining or choosing RC or anything. If you’re not going to acknowledge it, why ask? Worst part? When I was upfront with the waiter at the end about the less than enthused dining experience, he didn’t say anything. Most would ask why, or what was wrong but he didn’t seem to care. He did, however, tell a manager who came over so then I figured that was his way of caring. Abrupt, but hey… Manager apologized for the issues and after I listed them all(was more than the list above, sadly), she asked if there was anything she could do. I didn’t want anything, just to explain the issues to someone who could address the issues. Oh, and she did say they’ve had other people mention and question the surcharge. Hate to give negative reviews but this aspect of the experience cast a shadow on a celebratory night. My recommendation? If you want a good steak, go to Fleming’s around the corner or Ruth’s Chris on Water St. Do not spend your money where it’s not appreciated.

Ruth’s chris steakhouse is always divine! They have the best filet mignon hands down. This particular Ruth’s chris is in a very nice location. You can eat dinner and then go for a little stroll around the water. You can even walk all the way over to the busy inner harbor or over to harbor place and catch a movie or do some shopping. Check it out! Best Baltimore location for Ruth’s chris!

Came here for happy hour this time! Sat at the bar. I got to the bar around 5:20pm, and the place was pretty empty. The friendly manager led me to the bar and got me water and the menu. Then the bartender, James, showed up. What a friendly guy! Talks like an educated man and well-mannered. Had a great conversation with him. The beer available for the $ 3 happy hour deal are your usual Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light, and Michelob Ultra, all bottled. Nothing on tap. Got the Michelob to start. Ordered both the Steak Filet Sandwich and the Prime Burger in medium well. Each was $ 9. Both came with perfectly seasoned fries. None were burnt. Both came out as medium well. The Steak Filet Sandwich was def 5 stars, the burger was a bit greasy, but still thick, juicy, and tender. 4 stars The quality and service were exactly what I expected from Ruth Chris, and they did not disappoint.
