Makeup by Jessica

Jessica did our wedding makeup. She is super nice, accommodating (we changed the number of people and had a kinda weird schedule), and professional, and everyone’s faces looked GREAT – in pics as well as in person! She really listened to what we wanted – my wife got the super natural look that she wanted, and I got the bright lip/​simple eye that I wanted with perfect contouring. I think her rates are VERY reasonable, and she is very easy to communicate with.

I first had my makeup done by Jessica when she managed a makeup store in DC. She was extremely professional and the store reigned above other DC makeup venues because of her management. She truly wanted to make me look and feel good about myself, whether it was for every day or a special occasion. Although my makeup appointment was more than a year and a half ago, I still wear the looks she suggested and have received numerous compliments from my friends on my skin tone.
Now that Jess is freelance I am flying her in to do my wedding makeup. She is great!!!

I did a wedding session with Jessica and I couldn’t believe my eyes that I could look that good. And without that much makeup. Jess knows all the tricks. What is so unique about the experience is that she doesn’t try to sell you a million products you don’t need. She takes your event and your style into consideration and creates a look that is tailor made, using the finest products available. She consults as to what will fit in your budget if you are looking to purchase items as well. She is amazingly affordable for the level of quality makeup which she works with and level of experience she provides.
Jess also knows a lot about skin care and can recommend products that will help your skin look it’s best.
As a bride to be, I was so appreciative of all the tips and tricks and Jess imparted on how to look your best on your big day. Trust me ladies, this is a day that you will remember forever, and Jess will have you prepared to the 9’s looking fly but natural, and make a memorable impression in your pictures yet soft enough for your hub to be to look at you up close.
I only wish that I had consulted with Jess sooner, because my skin has a glow that it hasn’t had in a long time. Also my eyelashes are growing lush and long (thanks for the secret tip Jess!).
One last bonus — Jess is an animal lover and also owns a Charmcity Pups dog sitting/​walking business with her fiancé, so don’t be afraid to bring your pooch along or have them share in the fun!

I first met Jessica when she was managing a boutique cosmetics store in D.C. Right away I was impressed by her professionalism (and her stellar makeup), so I hired her to do the makeup for my wedding (bride and bridesmaids). I could not have been happier with the results. She came to my house for a trial and stayed for a few hours until we got the right look. She is so knowledgable about the best products and shades out there, I learned so much in just a couple of hours! Jessica kept emphasizing the importance of natural beauty and not over-​loading on makeup, which I (and my husband), really appreciate.
At the wedding she was early to the hotel, well prepared with her arsenal of products, not to mention positive and upbeat with all of the bridal party. My bridesmaids all LOVED their makeup, and enjoyed working with Jessica. Its amazing how much time you actually end up spending with the hair and makeup people the day of the wedding. It is a major plus in my mind that Jessica is fun, kind, and easy-​going, as well as a great makeup artist.
She gets my highest recommendation. Any bride would be lucky to have her!
