Firstly, no stars was not an option. I am very disappointed with the services I received from MA IT Tech. The technician came to my home to retrieve some files on an external hard drive that were encrypted with malware and/​or ransomeware from an old laptop of mine. He seemed very thorough and well versed. He was not able to reverse the decryption but said there may be a greater likelihood of success if he could access the original laptop that the files were from and that there would be no additional charge. It took some time for me to locate the laptop and all it components but I did call him once I found them all. We set up an appointment for that weekend. He phoned the day of and said that he wouldn’t be able to keep the appointment but he would come pick up my laptop and external hard drive and work on it from home. I was told it would be ready in approximately three to four days– that was roughly three months ago! No type of communication with me and my calls and messages have yet to be responded to. This man has all sorts of personal (photos, videos, original music, writings, etc) and business information (tax returns, bills, etc) and documents mine. Save yourself time, money, disappointment and frustration and go to a real and reputable it tech.
