Dr. DiBos performed a valve replacement for my 85 year old father. Dr. DiBos has an extraordinary bed side manner with the patient and the patient’s family members. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. He made us feel comfortable and gave us the utmost confidence in his ability to heal our dad. He is an amazing man and an even more amazing doctor!

Dr Dibos is a Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. I was referred to him by my cardiologist after discovering that I needed my aortic valve replaced due to stenosis (fancy way of saying narrowing of the opening due to calcification). He is very personable, has a sense of humor (unusual for a surgeon… so I’ve heard), speaks in very plain terms that are easy to understand, and inspired my confidence in him due to his patience. He used a minimally invasive procedure that many cardiac surgeons do not use yet. My scar is only about 4 inches long instead of 10+ inches. Instead of opening up the whole sternum he only had to open it about 2.5 inches which I am sure reduced the amount of trauma and shortened my recovery time considerably. I would trust Dr Dibos to operate on any of those I love… as matter of fact… I would insist.
