Unfriendly and unresponsive staff. Called three times over 3 days and told someone would check on the part and call me back… still waiting a week later… I’ll take my business elsewhere. Too many other competitive options in the area.

Walk back in time to hardware stores that were crammed to the gills with floor-​to-​ceiling hardware, and other thingamabobs. You could spend all day looking for your part, or you could just ask one of the nice people behind the counter to help you with your needs-​yeah-​real human interaction-​dig it!
I couldn’t say if their prices are higher or lower than the other «home centers», but what you don’t get at these places is a nice conversation generally centered on discussing what your project is, advice and suggestions.
Feels like good business to me.
