I came here after reading a few good reviews, but missed the one about the almond croissant. Unfortunately, I tried said almond croissant and it was as bad as described. Having had similar desserts from a Parisian restaurant in Toronto, I have some high expectations. However the croissant from LB Bakery was quite lackluster. The croissant was chewy and not flakey at all. The filling was rich but couldn’t save the dessert. At first bite I thought maybe it was just stale leftovers, since it was noon. I also tried the coffee. I ordered a mocha and that was not bad. Overall, though, I was not impressed.

Almond croissant– $ 3.71(tax included) The croissant was oddly chewy, not crisp, especially for 9:16 in the morning. The bottom layer was vinegary, like the stuff had soaked in to just below the frangipane filling. The filling was rich and smooth but it doesn’t save the dry ends or the weird vinegar thing. I am not impressed.

No. No. No. An insult to coffee. Plus, asking 8,38 $ for 2 double espressos doesn t help to taste better a coffee that has no reason to exist.

LB bakery is right near our hotel so we decided to walk there for breakfast in lieu of eating our continental breakfast. I would have rather eaten the continental breakfast. I had a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was gross. The only reason I ate it was because I was on my way to a conference and didn’t have time to grab anything else. I did have a good cappuccino there, so the coffee was good! Definitely wouldn’t recommend the bakery though.

I am impressed by how they constantly have different desserts, and they are all so good. Today, I had a giant macaron with a rich chocolate filling and raspberry jam. The chocolate was so smooth and rich. My mom really enjoyed the peanut butter cookie as well.

Cute bakery with good quality ingredients attached to the Lord Baltimore Hotel. The staff of the bakery is friendly, and also helpful… they saved my jacket in the back for me that I had left behind one day. The food was good and I’d recommend stopping in here if you’re in the area.

Amazing pastries, tarts, scones and muffins. Salads and quiche were also excellent. Extremely reasonable prices. The display has a Starbucks look to it. Great location in the Lord Baltimore Hotel in the inner harbor.

If you can admire beauty in desserts and goodness to bring to your senses, you will be inspired to walk Charles to Lord Baltimore, and interested to see the desserts in LB.

Great selection of pastries. I got the almond joy macaroon and a raspberry filled le petite. It is quiet inside and I’m surprised not as many people know about this place. They also have decent cold lunches for the go!

We walked in at 645am on a Monday and were greeted with huge smiles and friendly personalities. It took us a minute to order(yeah. we needed coffee) — settled on just a large drip and a large iced coffee and a bagel(toasted) and an almond croissant. The coffee was amazing — my guy slurped his down before mine even cooled so I could drink it. He had a bagel and I had the croissant(I was REALLY looking forward to mine)… the bagel was just okay(nothing like those NY bagels we get… we’re spoiled, I know) and the croissant was mediocre at best — the ends were dry/tough and the inside was a bit mealy(not enough marzipan, in my opinion). Overall a great little place — fantastically long hours(for those early and late night caffeine needs) — and amazingly fresh and strong coffee. Perhaps I just picked a poor baked good?

A cute little place attached to The Lord Baltimore Hotel. I stay at The Monaco when I visit Baltimore, but the coffee shop I normally visit across the street has closed. The valet peeps recommended that I try out LB Bakery since it’s just around the corner. Great call valet peeps! Thus is a cute little place with quite a few seats spread throughout. The first thing I noticed was how friendly the staff is. This alone is reason for me to come back. I love supporting a business where you can truly tell that the people enjoy being there. The latte I got was delicious… what really blew me away was the selection of pastries that are evidently made on site. They had quite a selection, but I didn’t partake this time… I mean after all it is still bikini season… wait until the winter when I can plump up…

Friendly people behind the counter and yummy in-house pastries! I’m staying in the Lord Baltimore hotel, which does not give you any free food, so this has been my regular breakfast spot daily all week. Here’s the rundown: Day 1, needed a grab and go breakfast, friendly woman behind counter told me that the cinnamon sugar croissant is her favorite, so I went with that. At $ 2 ish, it was a little small, but I know they make their pastries in house. I lived in France so my approval of this croissant is not given lightly. The cinnamon sugar part was pointless, in my mind, but the croissant was flaky, not too buttery but buttery enough, and yummy. Day 2, decided on some protein. So in addition to a pain au chocolat, I picked up a yogurt parfait. Pretty sure Yoplait is to blame for my sickeningly sweet strawberry yogurt — yuck! but the granola they added on top had crystallized ginger in it. So I was on a sugar high but I guess I got some protein. The pain au chocolat is GOOD. Day 2, evening: My colleague and I return from a yummy dinner at Land of Kush(a vegan soul food restaurant in Mt Vernon — worth the hike!) and had walked off some of our full bellies, so we decided it was dessert time. We shared 3 items: the little chocolate mousse, the caramel pot de crème, and the strawberry tart. In order of fine to amazing: the chocolate mousse was good, it was not mind-blowing, but it was good. The strawberry tart was very good, and it’s square, which makes it MUCH easier to cut into and eat than little round tarts. It was also easier to share. The cream in the tart was yummy, the strawberries were perfectly ripe, gets a solid A. And the CARAMELPOTDECREME oh my goodness, this was delicious! It comes with little chocolate beads on top, just in case you’re thinking, «I love crème caramel, but I wish I could also get some chocolate…» oh my gosh, this was so creamy and delicious. I kind of wanted another one for breakfast this morning. Day 3, today: Went back again for another pain au chocolat and a coffee! Their coffee, La Colombe, is well reviewed on Unilocal.10 minutes after picking mine up I have only taken the tiniest of sips — it is still steaming. But it smells good and the first piping hot sip was good. Good strong coffee. Good thing there isn’t a day 4 in this place, or I would gain a pound!

Delicious! Freshly baked goods are delightful. The coffee was great. The employees really seem to care about what they serve. The quiche lorraine was really good! A great stop for a quick breakfast.

The on-site hand made delectables are amazing! You can tell that the baker takes pride in her work. The staff is very friendly and is very proud to sell what they have. Just saw the sign that advertises 20% off to Federal and Government employees. Score! They use and sell St Michaels(Maryland) chocolate zin! The pot de crème, veggie quiche, chocolate dipped chocolate cherry Danish pudding and macaroons are to die for! Even the yogurt parfait was delicious and satisfying. Wonderful staff, wonderful food. A must if you are in the area.

Best coffee in town. They serve La Columbe, the same as at Milk & Honey(so I guess there are 2 best coffee places in town). This place makes their own bagels, croissants and sweets that come right from their French restaurant.

This adorable little café is hidden inside Lord Baltimore Hotel. Perks: — Free Wifi(Connect to the Starbucks one though — it’s faster) — Cute desserts — Plenty of seating AND window cushions! so cute. Cons: — Not that many outlets(if you’re here for studying) — Pricey I tried the Raspberry Iced Tea here and it was surprisingly good! Although it doesn’t taste like ice tea, it’s more of a sweet syrup but it is SO amazing. Mocha — Really thick and chocolatey, I didn’t like it as much as other places.

A great little place. Was visiting Baltimore for a wedding — my hotel only had a fancy restaurant, so they sent me around the corner to this place for coffee. The coffee was excellent, so I went back the next morning for breakfast. Excellent again! This is a great place to go if you are in the neighborhood and need a quick pick-me-up. Everything looks very fresh and delicious!

I came here a few times while I was staying in the Lord Baltimore Hotel. I had a few things here: the white chocolate mocha, a turkey and Swiss croissant, and the chocolate pistachio brûlée. The white chocolate mocha was delicious! It wasn’t overly sweet but had just the right amount of chocolate syrup/flavoring while still being able to taste the coffee. The croissant was good but wasn’t as good as I hoped and lacked some flavor. The chocolate pistachio brûlée was also okay. The chocolate on top was way too thick to eat with the spoon they give you and it is dark chocolate(not that big of a fan). The Pistachio part underneath the chocolate was just pretty much pistachio pudding that didn’t have a very strong flavor of pistachio at all. Overall, I would come here again. I wouldn’t mind trying more of their bakery items and and the workers were super friendly.
