Stumbled across this place over the weekend. Nice hidden gem. My husband and i experienced great service(Brittany is awesome!) and indulged in their pizza pretzel pies. They just started serving food 2 wks ago and you can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into the menu. Its thought out nicely. The salad choices are well prepared and reasonably priced even adding a protein. Its no «pub» type fare you’d usually find off the main drag around this area, which was a great surprise. If you work around the area/walkable, they have great daily specials worth a-go! They also do a «punch card» for your meals, so make sure you ask for that when you get your check! They placed good music and had the current sporting events on all tv’s without a bad spot to sit. Its a must try! They also do breakfast(limited entrées) all day. Brunch Sat & Sun! Oh…and ALL glasses of wine are $ 6ALLTHETIME! Which had me at hello;) The only downside is the place is small.(ender of a row home) So i’d imagine space to be tight/limited table seating during busy times. I can’t wait to go back and try more food… and wine!

Huck’s doesn’t have their full kitchen yet, but is still going strong with their food and beverage menu. It’s mostly cold sammiches and dips. This is a great place to watch a football game — nice quality tv’s, sound for local teams and plenty of space. It’s definitely still a beer bar, with about 20 beers on tap. I should have started with beer, because the wine wasn’t my favorite — still for $ 6 it’s a decent choice and a large pour. They do have a large selection of crushes, that I like on a football sunday; I switched to the Palmer — sweet tea vodka with ginger infused simple and fresh lemon. As for food — most of the choices are simple — dips with chips and toasted bread and some deli inspired sandwiches. They sounded delicious. I had a bite of the American Deli with ham, turkey, and bacon, topped with Amber16 Cheddar and layered on a kaiser. It was tasty, a little salty, but I was craving salt having just left a Bikram class. My favorite thing of the day was the soft pretzel — a jumbo soft pretzel with as many dips as you like. We did the trio — whole grain mustard, a cinnamon icing, and beer fondue(WAYBETTER than the«beer cheese» you find at WOB…) Perfect for me — I get the savory I want and a few bites of something sweet.

Great new corner bar! They really made it brighter, clean and fresh in here. I love the happy hour deals and the beer selection, plus the bartenders are super friendly and helpful. The hot pretzel with dipping sauces was the . It comes with two pretzel twists… perfect for sharing with someone because you each get your own. Great place to catch up with/meet your neighbors!

I’m really glad I came here with 3 friends the other night because it’s awesome! I love the quiet location, the drinks, food, and the atmosphere. As a frequent flyer of Alexander’s Tavern in Fells Point, and an experienced taco eater at Papi’s, I was really excited to see the owners open up another restaurant in the area. I drank some DogFish 61 Minute’s, which were awesome and different from their 60 minute. It’s brewed with their 61st ingredient being grape must. It’s purpleish in color and takes away some of the hoppyness. As long as it’s available, I hope this doesn’t come off the draught list. Their menu was more of a «bar fare» menu, but to be honest, there were full meals on there. A friend of mine got a turkey sandwich, which was like thanksgiving on a bun. I didn’t try it, but she said it was great. I did have the pretzel with the 3 dipping sauces(whole grain mustard, cheese fondue, and cinnamon icing) and it was perfect for sharing.($ 4 with dipping sauces) I also had the pickled veggies($ 3). Anything picked is right up my alley. There were carrots, whole garlic cloves, and red peppers. The carrots were good, the garlic was a little much, but I don’t think most people would actually eat it, I just really love garlic. Wanna be my friend? I’m sure I smell great ;). Overall, it were on the spicy side. Next time I’m going to try one of their sandwiches, and I can’t wait for their full menu to come out. I’m also going to hit it up for a cocktail in the near future.
