Lord have mercy on my soul. Standing in that line was so worth it once I got back to my desk and inhaled my gypsy cone. From the first to last bite was delicious.

We ordered the Curried Lamb Cheese Steak(either $ 8 or $ 9): Cheese, pieces of lamb in a curried cream sauce, wrapped in pita bread. As a curry connoisseur, I had to see how they were going to pull this off. It was not what I expected. It was less like a cheese steak and more like a gyro. At first bite I was confused; my taste buds didn’t grasp this combination of textures and tastes. On the second bite, I was intrigued. By the third bite I was hooked. The Curried Lamb Cheese Steak was by far my favorite dish. It was different, tasty and filling. This was a satisfying, hardy sandwich. It was worth every penny.

This food truck is at the corner of Charles and Baltimore Streets every Tuesday. Now that warm weather is upon us, I look forward going out at lunch to grab something from them. I always say I’m going to try other stuff on the menu, but I absolutely love the Thai Chicken wrap. I know the lunch line stays long for the crab cone, but I’m telling you the Thai Chicken Wrap deserves love too. The staff is always really nice and the lady that does the cooking is crazy fast considering how long the line can get at times for the downtown lunchtime crowd.

First time at this truck and I got the Jerk Chicken Burrito. I had to take it back after attempting two bites b/c it fell apart, there was no way I could hold it. Taking it back… yeah, I was kinda irked, but the guys were cool, so I calmed down mentally. Second burrito, was not good. I have had way better. The jerk was not jerk and it just didn’t taste good. Everyone from my job raves about the Gypsy truck so I might, just might, give them another try. The BEST thing about it was for $ 7, it was really big and full of chicken. I just think they need to work on their jerk sauce.

Gypsy Queen is the devil in a truck! Seriously, the food just draws in all of the sinful gluttony in you! You walk down the street and can smell the goodness coming from the place. The truck parks at Ashland ans Wolfe on Thursdays for lunch. So far, I’ve tried the Boss(Philly Cheesesteak with a crabcake and a special aoili mayo) — sounded so weird to me at first… but OMG, it’s delicious! Most recently, I had the crabcone which is old bay fries in a waffle cone with fries on top — also amazing. I love these two dishes so much, I don’t want to try anything else. Amazing cooks and worth the money for my sinfully satisfied stomach!

The crab cake cone is delicious. I’ve had it twice. My coworker for the po boy and she has been razing about it ever since. I would highly recommend this food truck. The two ladies who work the truck are always in a good mood and it seems like they take great joy in their work. No matter how busy it gets at the truck they always find some way to connect with their customers.

Definitely a four star now. My previous experience was good, but this time, it was even better. The service was fast as hell, and the food was just as good as before. Anticipating a crowd, I think they had a lot more prepared compared to last time I ended up here. I had a «pig out cone», which is a waffle cone filled with fries and topped with pulled pork. The fries came with old bay and something that seemed to be chipotle mayo. Both flavors were a great addition to the fries and the pork. My girlfriend had a crab cake cone, which was basically what I had but with crab on top instead of the pulled pork. It was also good.

I think the«cone» style is fancy. It would be nicer if they offer choice between rice or fries to put into the cone. I had a falafel cone but the fries on the bottom ended being too wet because of the hot and sweet source.

YYYAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY Never a complaint about the food or service. This food truck always has a ton of options to choose from. I work on charles so I hit them up when they are on Charles and Baltimore. I always read the menu like Im going to get something different than my usually. But… I always end up with the fish taco. Maybe one day I will venture out on a limb and grab something different. But for now the fish taco makes me extremely happy. The service is awesome, they are always happy to see their customers and the food is always fresh & hot.

One word. Crabcone! Saw this at hampden fest and didn’t get to try cuz it sold out. Went to union craft brewery and the gypsy queen truck was there so was super excited to finally get my hands on it. Everything about this was delicious! It’s a meal in a cone and definitely fills up if you’re afraid it won’t. The crab cake on top of the fries itself on its own is quite tasty and pretty meaty and then the sauce that goes over the crab cake and fries pulls everything together perfectly. So if you’re a sauce person, this is your thing. And yes, it all comes in a big waffle cone! You’ll find it when you get thru half of it I promise. The other menu items look just as good so will definitely keep my eye out for gypsy queen truck next time I’m in Baltimore. It’s a pretty colorful truck so can’t miss it!

CRABCONE… I don’t care if its 15 bucks… that thing can feed an army! Or just one hungry, young, state worker! I literally track this truck down anytime I am having a bad day… I dont care about the calorie count, I don’t care if this thing will give me a heart attack(okay, maybe I care) but this thing is DABOMB(do kids still say that?)

Sad to say they used to be good not good anymore. Just saw my favorite food truck getting hassled over parking by the city nazis sooo I tried gypsy They had food laying on the floor and I was a little put off but hangry so I stayed. The woman behind the counter was so surly. It was like I was really bothering her. Still too hangry to walk away but already sad that this once happy and good business had fallen sooo Far. Anyhoo I got a cone with crab cake. Waaaay smaller than it used to be and expensive. Yuk yuk yuk. I ate two bites and then went to 7 – 11. Oh my heaven fared better there. Gypsy it’s time for you to wander away

I heard a lot about this place and had to try it. Had the crab cake over fries served in a cone. Looked cool, but I wasn’t at all impressed with the taste. Threw most of it away, but not enough to avoid the food poisoning that followed. Put me on the couch for 2 days. Never eating there again. Pretty truck though!

This is a fun truck that I’m really glad turned up on the harbor at lunch. I’ve heard a ton about the crab cone($ 14) — and was really excited to see it on the menu(I guess its not always there). I have to say, the spicy aoli and crab cake was really spot on — crispy on the outside, and lots of crab. The downside is the cone concept. Recently fried crab on top of recently friend french fries means a ton of grease as you get towards the bottom. Shared, as a late night snack — this would be spot on. For lunch, it was a bit heavy… but I did enjoy every bite. The other oddity is that there is actually a waffle cone in this thing. I ate it, I enjoyed it… but you may find it to be an odd contrast to your meal, so be warned. Next time they’re around, I’ll be trying some less conical items — since I have full confidence that they can make some great food — and with a large menu, this shouldn’t be a problem.

I am a regular for this truck and it has earned every single star. Ive been trying different things for the past two years and every single thing Ive chosen is great. The Crabgasm. The Crab cone. The Korean BBQ Tacos with kimchi. The NY Style felafel. The pig-out pita. They have great portion sizes, great quality food that doesnt disappoint, and service with a smile. Theyre also usually well stocked barring them being at a festival and running out of food early — thats only happened to us once. I highly suggest this food truck if you happen to see them around.

My biggest complaint is that for $ 9 you get nothing, not even chips with the Pitts. Also the pita bread is a little hard, making it not ideal for on the go food truck eating(my falafel popped out the pita twice).

I tried the Crabgasm cone here the other day. It tasted phenomenal. I was pleasantly surprised to find an actual waffle cone as I worked my way to the bottom of the cone. Plenty of food to share with another person. The two ladies working the truck were awesome too– super friendly and funny to boot.

I ordered the Korean beef tacos from the truck on Sunday. Im pretty sure that the beef they used comes from a box found in the freezer section of your market. You may call them«Steak-umms.» The only thing Korean about these tacos was the kimchi. I wouldn’t order them again.

The crab cone is absolutely amazing.amazing. I got it without the sauce. I also have had Korean tacos that were pretty good and a grilled chicken wrapped in a pita with coleslaw and something else on it. Really good food. I love gypsy.

Two words: Crab Cone. Get it … you won’t be disappointed. It’s a waffle cone filled with french fries, topped with a crabcake and their special crab sauce. It sounds crazy but these people are food geniuses. Make sure you try the cone when you get down to… Def the best part once all the sauce and juicy goodness soaks in.

Wow was this place great! We were walking down Charles St and saw the truck opening at 10:30am. Good time for a crab cake cone? You betcha! Hey, we were on vacation. My husband and I shared one as this was technically a between breakfast and lunch snack. As soon as we walked by and started eating though, we instantly regretted not getting more food. The fries were perfectly seasoned with the right amount of old bay. The crab cake was moist and the aioli was the perfect addition. I can’t stress how delicious this was! My husband loved munching on the cone at the end, but after the flavor explosion in the crab and fries, I passed on the cone ;)

I am SO glad I happened to check what food trucks were nearby yesterday when the Gypsy Queen was parked just a few blocks from my work. Definitely the best food truck meal I’ve ever had. My two co-workers both opted for the«Crab Cone,» which is a waffle cone stuffed with old bay fries, topped with a crabcake, and a delicious(slightly spicy) sauce. They were both thrilled with their choice. I wanted to go for something slightly less carb-y(although not by much) and got the Mission Bay Fish Taco. First of all, the portions are HUGE. This taco was about the size of a Chipotle burrito. Maybe larger. It was stuffed with plenty of delicious breaded and fried fish, some fresh cabbage and tomatoes, and that same spicy sauce that my friends had on their crab cones. For only $ 9, this is a WONDERFUL lunch option! I’m hoping they come my way again… I’d love to try more of their menu!

OK. So this place. WOWza! LOVELOVELOVE! I have had a couple things from here: the mission bay fish taco = which was more like a beautiful tiny little baby wrapped in a blanket smothered in delicious fixins and heated to perfection. It was so BIG, so freaking consistently scrumptious throughout the entire taco/burrito and so worth the incredibly freaking long wait… that I will not dwell upon because of its shear awesomeness. I love when each bite(of anything) is as good as the last and better than the first, what I hate is when all the goodness is concentrated in one spot, leaving other tender delicious morsels left to fend for themselves, unflavored and lacking the love. Mission Bay Fish Taco has never let me down. Always consistent. Always proportionately seasoned. Always fantastic. Thank you, Gypsy Queen! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

LOOOOOVE this truck. Absolutely love it. I know. Why only three stars Bernie? Why are you SOCRUEL to this delicious truck? — .5 * for prices unfortunately. I don’t really have 15 $ to burn at a food truck on the regular unfortunately. If you are someone who does, pretend my review has four stars. — .5 * for the wait. Sometimes the wait is ridiculous, like absolutely ridiculous. I know the food is good but come on, you’re a food truck, get that shit out faster. — 1* for the inconsistency. One of their trucks makes amazingly price worthy, delicious, giant portioned food.(Usually the truck with the woman running it). I always feel a little sad when I get my food from the other truck, not because it’s not delicious, but because I know the other truck wouldve made me so much happier. On to the food. DELICIOUSNESSEVERYWHERE. Crab cake cone, tell them to layer the aioli into the fries so you get the flavour all the way down the cone. YUM. Pig Cone: one of the faster meals, and it is so so so delicious. That pork is just so soft and melty and the sauce has some great bold flavours. the pork banh mi. Holy shit this is good. It’s not your typical bahn mi, oh no. This sand which is dripping with sauce and stuffed to the brim with vegetables pâté pork and magical fairy dust that makes you addicted. It’s delicious, and only 9 dollars! Worth it. All of that excitement btw? was for the lady truck. The man truck was much less exciting and delicious. just saying. and definitely not as much food. You can’t really go wrong on their menu though everything is delicious and the people are so nice!

Food truck rating. Pretty darned awesome! I’m finishing up a tasty crab wrap, which is super tasty. The folks running the truck were cool and friendly, and I was very impressed with the sizeable menu selection for them being a food truck– tons of options, with a bunch that sound really, really good! Pricing is perhaps a tad high, but the food I had was quite good!

5÷14÷14 I am always so excited to try out a food truck and see if I am going to be a returning customer. OH I will be a regular with this one. My co-worker and I decided to walk and the food truck is parked across from the dome of JHH. She wanted to stop and get a crab cone. I am like that sounds interesting. It was very interesting and beyond AMAZING!!! The workers are really nice and they take your order and payment method(cash or card). Then they prepare your food fresh. It took about 10 minutes. The gypsy crab cone consist of a large waffle cone filled with old bay fries topped with lump crab meat and this AMAZBALLS sauce all over it! When I tell FOODGASM, this is it! It’s about $ 12 but so worth it and filling. I will now try to make it over to the truck when it is in our area. I am excited to try the other great items on their menu!

one of my fave trucks in Bmore. consistently delicious foods with a fun variety on their menu and all reasonably priced($ 9 – 13). their korean taco is very tasty – loaded with plenty of tender beef and kimchi. their mission bay fish tacos are also spot on. today I branched out and got their famous crab cone. except today I realize they had two diff kinds: the traditional crab cone($ 13, lump crab cake) and a newer item on their menu, the«crabgasm»($ 9, crab dip and bacon on top of fries with chipotle aioli). I opted for the crabgasm cuz it was cheaper and I was craving bacon. the order comes relatively fast(5 – 7 min wait), and the crab dip was spot on. the fries were seasoned appropriately with old bay. and bacon was a flavorful touch but coulda been a bit crispier. my friend got the falafel cone and that was delicious too.
