FYI– I am not sure which doctor that some are referring to but there must be more than one Dr WBD. My husband is a specialist, …a Pulmonologist at BWMC. So for all who write reviews (including myself) —please be careful and make sure it is the right business/​person. They can unintentionally cause harm to a business/​person with a wonderful reputation AND potentially deny them the well-​earned respect they deserve due to the fact of having similar names. I read reviews to gain a true insiders perspective and save myself a lot of time (and disappointment), and I would hate to have read a review that was wrong. I will start a thread for Dr William B. Davidson, Pulmonologist at 301 Hospital Drive, Glen Burnie, MD. if that is who anyone would like to comment on. Thank you!

I have now been seeing this doctor for a couple of years. I still really like him but am lowering my review by one star. The reason for this is that in the two years I have been seeing this doctor he has referred me to seven specialists, SEVEN! I am in my 20’s and am relatively healthy so I feel like this is really excessive. A general practitioner needs to be able to handle general medical concerns, not just refer their patients to other practices for every little thing. He won’t give me a prescription for birth control, or my other regular medications instead insisting on me having my gynecologist and other doctors prescribe them. I feel like anytime something is a little out of his comfort zone he’s just so afraid of getting sued that he won’t address the issue and instead just refers you to a different doctor. Also, the most recent time I was in his office I was concerned that I might be pregnant and asked him to administer a pregnancy test. He said no and told me to just take a home pregnancy test. It turned out that I WAS pregnant and as a result of him not testing me I didn’t find out for sure for another 2 weeks. I feel like he was scared if I found out I was pregnant in his office he was going to have to deal with it and he didn’t want anything to do with a pregnant woman. I still like this doctor and would recommend him to others but I wish he would be more confident in his abilities as a doctor and not be so scared of getting sued.
