I work in this area at times an BOP is a good lunch stop in a neighborhood full of «tourist priced» menus. Good pizza.

Rating system: 5 stars — Must try. You’re really missing out if you don’t. I’m either a regular here, repeat patron, or would be if it wasn’t cost or distance prohibitive 4 stars — Highly recommended, but may have minor things that keep me from being a regular or from giving a higher rating 3 stars — Good most of the time but not great. Will only eat here if I have a particular craving, or am unable to eat at my 4 or 5 star choices 2 stars — Do not really like it but will only eat here if I have to(eating group overruled my veto) 1 star — Avoid. Save your money, time, and stomach Went here with a group while visiting Baltimore for a conference. They wanted to check it out because it was a) wood fired pizza and b) featured on DDD. I’m a big fan of both but was hesitant to try it because other wood fired pizza places got much better reviews. I wanted to try other DDD places or at least another wood fired pizza place, but I got vetoed. To me, the pizza was just ok, but the rest of my party really liked it. I’d eat it if I had to but wouldn’t choose to go here again. I’m really questioning their pizza taste-meter. Some even stated that they had never eaten non-fast food pizza before. There wasn’t any fire flavor in the pizza and the ingredients were just so-so. We had a pepperoni pizza and a bbq chicken and shrimp pizza. The dough, sauce, and cheese on the pizza was just not the quality befitting of a neighborhood pizza joint. I’d expect that from a mass produced pizza but not a place like this, especially if it was featured on DDD. And the BBQ chicken and shrimp was crap. I’m from the South and that wasn’t BBQ. Boiled shrimp and boiled chicken with some commercial bbq sauce? No thanks. Sorry Guy Fieri, you let me down this time.

I’ve been to BOP numerous times and realized I’ve never written a review. My review is only on the pizza… THEGOOD… –pretty good variety of pizza –slices are pretty big –open late –prices are ok THEBAD… –parking can be a pain at times –gets crammed inside sometimes –woman who always rings me up at the register is not the friendliest –takes too long to reheat cheese pizza, very slow service –sometimes the sauce lacks flavor Overall I think BOP is ok. It’s not really a place I go out of my way for. I will though stop by once in a while to grab a slice or two.

Iconic Balto Pizza Spot since 1981. build a slice option. in Fells point Bar district area… white pizza w/chicken is uniquely delicious… Fine with the family prior to 9pm. later the drunk kids take over. I make it point to stop here on every visit to my former city…

Stopped in here for a late night pizza run with friends after a night out in Fell’s. I’ll definitely have to go again not at such a late hour, but even then they were as fast with the service as they could make it. I got a slice of margherita and it was amazing — the crust was a little on the thinner and softer side. Will definitely be going back at a proper meal time!

I have loved this place since I was in college. I’m not telling you when that was and it’s not cool to ask! Anyway I took some out of towners to try a slice of the white pizza it was still as amazing as I remembered. I’m a creature of habit and it’s all I’ve ever had there. So read other reviews for the more traditional pizza. The atmosphere is typical for the neighborhood. This isn’t Harbor East. The tables are laminated maps of Fell’s and probably are the same ones from the 80s. Did I just give a hint to my age? Dang.

Did you have one too many beers at Max’s? Not in the mood for Stuggy’s to help you wander home? BOP is at your service. Fast, cheap pizza you can get by the slice. Make-you-own is pricier, but if you’re already drunkles, the carb slice is worth it. Chewy, crusty, thick-ish pizza. Neither NY style nor Chicago style. More like Fells Point style. Enjoy!

This was a late night pizza stop for me. It was OK, but not worth the crazy long wait.

Decided to try BOP pizza during my lunch break. I commute from DC to Baltimore so I don’t know much about the food scene down by the Wharf. After visiting BOP pizza, I regret not doing any research. They charge a premium price for a subpar pizza. BOP pizza is a lot like the pizza they sell you at Costco but more expensive. Very greasy with no flavor. The dining area was small and the table surfaces were dirty and sticky. If you’re ever craving pizza near the Baltimore wharf, don’t go to BOP pizza.

I guess Im going against the grain with this one. But. Ive had better. Maybe I went on an off day… bbuuutt maybe not. Anyway, It was Monday Memorial day, I wanted to get out the house but didnt want to go far. So we ended up at Fells Point. We walked around took in the sights and then the wave of starvation that came over me out of nowhere was only going to be solved by a slice of pizza. I looked at my bookmarks and saw BOP. I thought BOP has been on my bookmarks for a while and it was on Triple D. So I should do it. Walking in not what I was expecting, but Im not sure what I was expecting. Ha Ha does that make sense? Got to the counter and the two folks at the counter(chick and guy), just kinda looked at me. I had to prompt, Hi How are you today with a smile, then she proceeded to ask me about the weather not even with eye contact, then asked what I was going to be having. Not at all enthusiastic or for the very least able to crack a smile. I just wanted to keep it basic with pepperoni. That’s how I base if a pizza joint is legit or not. If you cant do cheese or pepperoni right… than what can you do? Umm I was slightly thrown for the almost $ 4.00 for a slice(not a slice and drink) or(a slice numerous of toppings) just a slice of pep. *Shrugs off** Because I will pay $ 4 for a some fabulous pizza, if I must. My slice came out. upon first glance I was super excited to see crispy pepperoni that had curled up !! Yesss, pet peeve is non crispy pepperoni on my slice. That’s a no beuno. But getting back to my slice. Not impressed anything further than the crispy pepperoni. To much sauce(for me) and the crust on the slice that received did not look like any of these in the pics. My crust edge was not chewable or pullable, it literally broke into crumbs. It’s definitely on the thicker side of pizza, not gross thick. Just not new york thin which I prefer. So if you prefer a thicker slice with lots of sauce, this maybe the place for you Also The tables were sticky, Yuck. We sat at 3 different tables. Im very clear when I enter place that is just a walk in order walk out. I believe if you have tables keep them wiped down. Especially when I walked in, there literally no other costumers. 2 stars because, I by no means expect a red carpet roll out, but damn a smile and greeting would be nice when coming in the door. Multiple dirty tables also helped with the low rating.(Not because Im not a fan of their style of pizza)

I hate to say it but the slice of pizza I had from Brick Oven Pizza was by far THE absolute worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. I ordered a broccoli cheese pizza to go. I was blanking on what the white cheese is called that normally goes best with broccoli. When I asked the cashier lady, she said well most people get mozzarella but she recommended cheddar. I want a white broccoli pizza, but I go with her recommendation because the people at restaurants should know best. For a perhaps slightly larger than average pizza, my slice was $ 4.13 which I find ridiculous. I just had cheese and one topping, yet this slice was over $ 4. I was thinking that’s fine, I’ve heard this pizza is great. NO. When I opened it, the cheese and broccoli looked like it was just thrown into the pizza and the slice wasn’t even warm! The shredded cheddar was barely melted. Literally I could have made a better pizza at home. The sauce was bad, the crust wasn’t tasty, the toppings were mediocre, the slice too expensive. Never going here again, sorry. My friend’s pizza that she got for $ 2 in Broadway Market was a million times better.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars; the whole place smells like frying oil, pizzas are inedible even when drunk. We stayed in for maybe 20minutes, I had to send my coat to dry cleaner afterwords Cuz the smell wouldn’t go away for a week. This place is gross, dirty and I don’t even know how people like their food. The only thing that is okay to eat is Caesar salad.

BOP is a medium sized pizza joint with a nice retro feel to it — complete with 80’s era juke box and couple of random arcade games. The staff, to me has been pretty friendly and quick. You don’t always get greeted with a smile — but they’ll get your order right and get it to you fast. It’s a counter set up — but they do bring the food to your table. As a result you really want to tip — but keep in mind(and this happened today) you can’t tip on a credit card — so bring a few dollars when you go or pay in cash. I also love that they bring out the salad while you’re waiting for your pizza. This is prime under $ 10 lunch fare. At $ 6.75 you can get a personal pizza with two toppings, a generous salad(Cesar or house) and a small soda($ 1 refills). The toppings aren’t super generous, or stingy either. The pizza is descent: slightly thicker crust — but I thought it was a good balance, the sauce is slightly sweet with just a hint of acidity, and the cheese is a nice blend of mozzarella and something sharper. It crisps nicely for the bits that stick to the crust. — honestly, I’ve had better pizza, but I’ve had much worse, and at the value point, this is a GREAT deal. I have yet to try to full sized pizzas, and I would believe they get better with size considering how hot Brick Ovens get. The salads are very generous in size. I’ve had the house with Blue Cheese — it had some nice chunks in it and left me happy. The addition of radishes was a nice touch. The Caesar wasn’t bad either.

I’m really surprised by all the negative reviews BOP has because I am obsessed with their lunch special right now. I can’t say too much about the other items on the menu, but the ‘best lunch combo’ is the best. You get a small pizza, side salad, and a small drink. The individual pizza you get is the perfect size! I finish lunch feeling satisfied. Also, the salad always seems fresh even though its just basic ingredients. They make their own dressing and I am OBSESSED. I love this combo so much that I may have this for lunch for a month. If you’re looking for a great lunch option, give BOPs a try!

Open late and a huge variety of pizza. They allow you to build your own slice unlike most places that limit you to cheese or pepperoni. Large crowd after 2am but the line moves along fairly quickly. About twelve tables inside but you can also get your order to go or eat in. Even at 3 am. Support a small business in Fells Point. Eat here after a night of drinking on Baltimore.

Do not buy pieces by the slice here! They burn the pizza when they reheat it and it becomes a foul, rubbery mess! The sauce was also a bit on the sour side with no herb flavor. Where is my oregano? Where is my rosemary and thyme?!? The crust was very average but was definitely missing that smokey brick oven taste! It basically tasted like microwave pizza! I will seriously eat Digiornos over this pizza… and next time, I will!(Or go to Bagby’s!)

Husband: Do you want to go with the tomato and cheese pie? Me: Sure why not. Pizza arrives… Husband:(takes a bite)…ummm this tastes like cafeteria pizza. Crust — where’s that great brick oven crust? Ours was underdone and extremely doughy. Sauce — completely bland and too sweet. Cheese — wayyyy to much cheese, and not even the kind of cheese you want more of. Sorry Guy Fieri, you were wrong about this one.
