Place is fantastic. The hummus, falafel, and pita chips are great. I also especially like the Rosemary beef and chicken piccata. Place is BYOB but not a location meant to linger for a long time due to amount of seating.

Byob… One of my favorite places for dining in and carry out. Farid the owner is amazing. I crave this place! I love the rosemary beef over rice. Baba’s keeps things farm fresh and amazing. Never leave without the monthly hummus or the cardamon coffee! Ask if the egg drop soup is on special!!! Hands down one of my faves in fed hill

This little gem of a restaurant is one of my favorites in Baltimore. After moving to federal hill in 2013, I quickly fell in love with the food here. I am Greek, so I am very picky when it comes to any Greek /Mediterranean food. Baba’s has done it right. Fresh and simple ingredients, good portions, delicious food… it really can’t get any better. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. He is always trying to get to know new faces and catch up with regulars. I recently moved to Fells Point, and this is one of the only things I miss from that side of the pond. MUSTTRY: hummus — which is made in house. can’t go wrong with the original, but the specials are always great too. my favorite is the spicy peanut hummus zucchini fries — with the tahini dip. I could probably eat a whole order myself. falafel — if you like falafel, you have to try it here. fresh & delicious the chicken plate or platter — most popular and personally my favorite.

This is one of my very favorite places to eat! We always order the zucchini fries and hummus with pita to start! The best hummus i’ve ever had! Then we get the lamb kabobs with a greek salad. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes mediterranean food! The service is great too!

Tried the lamb kabob, falafel pitza and chicken kabob. They were all delicious. The hummus was one of the best I ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yum. I probably shouldn’t review this place with 5 stars to keep it less crowded/popular for when I’m hungry. But hands down this is the best Mediterranean food in the DMV area. Love everything of the menu and the owner never disappoints.

I found this place off a TV review and sometimes you never what one will get in person. After visiting Fort McHenry to get my red, white, and blue on, I made the short drive over to Baba’s. I got there on the back end of lunch and the place was still packed with a line. Given the great smells and seeing what others were having, I made my wait and finally got a seat on the side. I ordered the rosemary beef and I could not have been more please. Everything I tasted was fantastic. The owner and staff were just as gracious and want to make sure you enjoy the experience. My only tip for the owner… Get a larger place! You are going to need it eventually from serving that greatness.

This place is just OUTSTANDING! My fiancé is from Jordan so he has extremely high standards when it comes to Mediterranean food and Baba’s never disappoints!!! The HUMMUS is absolutely amazing. So authentic, the olive oil… the texture. We dip everything in it! We’ve tried the shrimp, chicken, and lamb in pita sandwich and platter style. We’ve loved all three. We’ve also had the meat pies and grape leaves. Both dishes are great. Also, I highly recommend the chips. Try them on the counter next to the cashier first. Then splurge on a bag to go. They’re so worth it. Whether it’s take-out or dining in, every experience we’ve had has been awesome. The owner always talks to us and asks us what we like best and why we take pictures of the food! LOL. To post on here of course! :)

Really great hummus! Stopped here with a friend one night after the gym(slightly counter-productive) and it was really great! The falafel was delicious and so was the hummus! I’m definitely coming back!

I tried Baba’s recently for take out after one of my spin classes in the general vicinity. It was fine, I felt the pita bread fell kinda flat. I ordered the burger, the humus was delicious, the salad was great, the burger wasnt too bad. Its just that i felt the meat dried out and the sandwich fell apart The burger actually reminded me of flavors from some Lebanese food i used to eat from my classmates back in Ghana. I will try some items on the menu and review accordingly.

This was such a great find on my way back from seeing Fort McHenry. I went with a pita pizza, and while it was good, it was a bit of a one note dish — and would have been amazing split with someone to try two dishes. Instead, I just stole a bit from everyone. I have to say, nothing disappointed me. They do some really serious Mediterranean food here. Even the fried zuchini was top knotch. If I’m in the area, I will be going back.

Phenomenal. I’ve had my fair share of Mediterranean, and Baba’s is top notch. Food = excellent, flavorful, perfectly cooked Atmosphere = warm and inviting Portions = large — not your typical dime size dollop of hummus or baba ghanoush(both are great by the way) BYOB — there is a good liquor store with a wine cellar two blocks west on Fort Ave.(same side as Baba’s) Staff is great, be sure to tip them well up front!.. They aren’t earning on alcohol as they would at other restaurants.

This place is a cute, hole in the wall in the middle of fed hill. It’s a great BYOB, a great intimate place for a date night. There aren’t too many seating but turnover time is fairly quick. We ordered the Rosemary beef, the salmon, and the lamb kabob. I thought the lamb kabob and the Rosemary beef was both very well done. Salmon was a bit disappointing. They were both over a bed of rice. One of them was a platter, and the salad just looked like sad, dead leaves. However the hummus is fantastic. Overall a decent place for good Mediterranean food. Would recommend it.

Wow… Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen serves up some delicious quality food. You can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. The platters are great, the appetizers and sides are great, and even the salads are amazing. Definitely a fan of the rosemary beef. The pita and hummus are heavenly as well. The place is small, but service is fantastic, and the food is carefully prepared.

Oh wow. This place is a new favorite. Fresh, delicious Mediterranean food. We were drawn to how amazing their hummous looked in every photo. Yep! Silly I know. We had gazpacho, meat pies(both listed as appetizers), chicken kabob, and a Greek salad with Falalafel. Oh and two hipstermatic ginger sodas from Brooklyn. Their sauces tasted house made. Everything was incredible and the total was ~40 bucks. I already know what I’m going to try next time! The seating is first come, first serve. We arrived at 730 on and Saturday evening and waited maybe 5 minutes before securing a table. You order inside and they serve it to the table.

I think this is the best greek place in Baltimore! It’s an adorable little place, and the owners make small talk with you while you’re order. I had their pumpkin hummus(seasonal). If you like pumpkin, and if you like hummus, you’ll love their pumpkin hummus. I think even if you don’t like pumpkin, you may become a converter. –1 star because I could still taste the garlic from their regular hummus in my mouth a few hours later… but at least I knew it was still fresh!

Cozy, sweet, Fed Hill gem! I came the other night and now I’m craving Baba’s again! This place is super tiny(maybe 15 people max can fit). When I ate in, I saw tons of people getting carryout. If you’re looking for an intimate place to have a date or catch up with a friend(where you can actually hear what the other person is saying lol), then try Baba’s! Order at the counter and they’ll bring the food to you shortly. All the entrees I believe can either be served over rice or in a pita. I had the rosemary beef platter which comes with hummus, pita, and a salad. The beef was so tender and delicious! And the mushroom cream sauce on top was great! And their hummus puts to shame the stuff I get at the grocery store. And the rice was flavorful too! Ugh, I just can’t say enough good things about Baba’s. I can’t wait to try everything on their menu! And if this place wasn’t already awesome enough, it’s BYOB!

We were in the fed hill area visiting family and they wanted to get Baba’s for lunch. I’m a fan of Mediterranean food so I was in. My husband and I had snacked earlier so we just wanted to share something. We got a chicken kabob platter which had rice, salad, pita bread, and hummus. It was all very very tasty! I was impressed by everything from the moist chicken to the flavorful rice and hummus. My brother in law is a fan of their lamb kabob platter as well so I would try that next time. The price is definitely fair(especially compared to DC pricing!) and the quality was so good. It’s quite a bargain and we will definitely be back to Baba’s when we are in the area again.

I live a short walk away from Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen and I pass it regularly, however I had never really given the Fed Hill spot much of a thought. A friend and I were grabbing dinner and he told me he had heard great things about Baba’s so we headed over. The space is fairly small and was packed at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. Note to self, arrive early or you’ll have to wait. Fortunately we snagged two seats at the bar and prepared for hands down, the best Mediterranean Food in Fed Hill and their hummus is fantastic. My friend and I decided to start our meal with the Spanakopita. Growing up with a Greek Grandmother, I have fond memories of this dish and I’ve got to say, Baba’s does a great job. The dish comes with five mini Spanakopitas, or ‘spinach pies.’ The dough is flaky and delicious and then stuffed with spinach and feta cheese and proportioned nicely so neither component overpowers. For my meal, I ordered the Rosemary Beef Pita Pocket. The beef was perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender and packed with flavor. The platter also came with a nice serving of hummus. Hands down, this was the best hummus I have ever had. It was creamy, garlicky and delicious. I would eat this hummus every day, it’s that good. It’s easily the best hummus in Baltimore and I will be bringing some home to my family in New York next time I am headed that way. Rosemary Beef Pita Pocket If you’re looking for some awesome hummus, or other Mediterranean food, Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen really delivers.
